  1. I really don't think that's true. There had to be many designers at Lego who wanted to keep powered tracks, but I doubt Lego wanted the complexity of supporting both systems so they went with the newer. In the future, I do think they will keep PF, or something like it, but also add powered tracks.
  2. I pronounce every acronym by spelling them out.
  3. It rather disappointing. At least the QAR had some style to it, but this has nothing but a simple build**. Obviously that can change once we get final pics.
  4. Love it and love the studded construction, but I agree that the proportions are off from the B-Pillar back. Looks too stretched. The other issue, I'm assuming, is your lack of bricks. The back appears unfinished compared to the front.
  5. I think you should have built a single large pet store as opposed to putting two next to each other.
  6. Either break them all down flat or keep the rarer boxes like lego exclusive sets. Even those I would break down flat.
  7. Yes, but brick-built hulls are always better than using Lego hulls.
  8. Thanks for the words. Well it's about to be torn down for another MOC so I'll post a piece count.
  9. Some very clever parts usage. Love it.
  10. I do think that the common usage of the term baseplate is for the thin plates that most sets come with. What's use in this set, and the log cabin for example, is a regular plate used as a baseplate.
  11. This is great looking set and super fun to swoosh around. It was also the inspiration for the MOC in my sig.
  12. It looks like a good parts pack and a neat model, but I wish the hill-side was more of a hill-side.
  13. I've noticed that the lower sails retain their curve better if you move the bottom yardarms up one stud.
  14. Queen Anne's Revenge New Imperial Flagship Shipwreck Hideout 6253
  15. As far as not understanding the motivation to buy sets MSIB to hang onto. Imagine cracking open the USC Falcon in 10 years to build.
  16. So there are some child minifigs in this set...would that make them the Pet Shop Boys? Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
  17. You should have a crying or upset minifig as he finds out that he needs a new clutch and transmission.
  18. I bought the UCS Jedi Starfighter. I've seen it built and it looks really good and is an excellent parts pack. $80 is an acceptable price to me.
  19. That's incorrect. All you need is a learner's permit; which you don't need a bike to get. If you do the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, which is the best way to learn to ride, they proved small motorcycles. They teach you, test you, and when you pass they stamp your permit and you get your license.
  20. UCS Jedi Starfighter with the "May the 4th" discount.
  21. Build the paddocks to fit the cars width-wise, and then just do the height to what ever feels right to you.
  22. I figured if anyone would get Mad Max jokes, it would be the Aussie er... kangaroo lover.
  23. It would be funny to have a pocky-lips dealership where Lord Humongous buys his vehicles.
