  1. Not necessarily. The 1932 lettering on Fire Brigade shows that its possible to reinforce brickwork like this.
  2. Best discount I stumbled across was 10187 marked down to $60 USD.
  3. I'm currently happy with TRU because I snagged one of their Tie Defenders for 50% off.
  4. Use your Hoth figs. :D
  5. This looks great. My only criticism is leading edge of the water. It would look a lot more polished if you cleaned that up. Maybe flip it so the studs are facing the direction of the camera and top them with tiles.
  6. My fiance has just accepted that her porcelain dishes and bowls are Lego containers whenever I'm building a new set.
  7. I think Eldorado is the Best official set, but this deluxe version of the set really does it for me.
  8. These are really nice. I dig your first floor floorplans.
  9. Just picked up UCS Imperial Shuttle. It was damaged box discount and I had a bunch of value points so it wasn't too expensive. Gonna get the BA Shaun fig and Zombie defense pack.
  10. Sorry about that, but perhaps you should have mentioned it in the first post.
  11. A modular Space Station theme would be awesome.
  12. Someone who will do a good job, which will be refreshing.
  13. I'm not particularly excited by any of the photos I've seen thus far. Hopefully there will be some exclusives that take my disposable income.
  14. I like both but I will say that 8086 is a really good parts pack.
  15. it was from the Python's Meaning of Life.
  16. I respect and like your work, and honestly didn't think my post was antagonistic. For some reason I always thought they were black, but you are obviously correct in regards to the color. I'm never going to be too OCD about MOC colors as my CPA features colors not in the movie. :D
  17. Shouldn't the cooling fins in back be black?
  18. I have one of the pilots from the Tantive IV set walking the plank on my Crimson Permanent Assurance MOC.
  19. Great start so far, but I don't understand why the road opens into the back of the pizza joint and whatever the building to its left is. You should just cover that up with plates, shift them back and give yourself some patio room. You have some inconsistencies like there is a row of base plate studs exposed and some of the plates are the rectangular corers and some are curved.
  20. Here is an idea of its scale compared to the 10197 Fire Brigade (its on the modular system so it snaps together with the other cafe corner buildings). Fun Fact #1 The CPA used in the movie is the old Lloyds Shipping Register building in London. And for sh**s and giggles here is an early WIP photo. It was just a facade at that point, but the second floor was too similar to the 10211 Grand Emporium, which was sacrificed for bricks. Fun Fact #2 The back of a Honda CRV is an excellent photo location...no seriously.
  21. By the time that comes I bet you could land a used 4/3rds for just a couple of bills. Something like the GF1 or EP2. But is nice to know that some P&Ss have big ol sensors.
  22. The Canon S90 is a ridiculously good little shooter.
  23. And the ceiling fan they turn into swords.
  24. I finally finished it. What do you guys think? It's fun to charter an accountant And sail the wide accountancy, To find, explore the funds offshore And skirt the shoals of bankruptcy! It can be manly in insurance. We'll up your premium semi-annually. It's all tax deductible. We're fairly incorruptible, We're sailing on the wide accountancy! GALLERy
