  1. Unless you go very tall to make up for the lack of width.
  2. But where will he put them? The trunk? Nice design, designing for odd stud widths is always tough.
  3. I wanted small white apple logos on a couple of blue torsos. What's the best way to do that?
  4. That looks very good so far.
  5. I hadn't come across yours until now. It looks good but I tried not to used stickers. This with the arm up is flipped over and held on by a clip. Unfortunately this is also why its so tall. The six wide version I'm finishing uses a different technique and therefore is better proportioned.
  6. Very nice and very recognizable. It would look cool with a snorkel.

That looks better. Try continuing the grey lines all the way across including the wall that has the black windows. If you start with one yellow plate below that first grey btick you might like the way it looks with a very thin yellow line at the bottom of the second floor. Regardless, that curved wall technique is a good one for you to use considering you said you don't have a lot of experience MOCing.

Its a unique design so i like it, but I'll mirror the other opinions that its too much yellow. You might conside adding breaking up the yellow on the second floor. For example, keep the walls yellow, but make the facade with the arches grey and make the roof above the arches that you currently have as yellow and black as all black.
  9. I agree that its too tall I plan on revising this design. I did get some of the ideas from another builder on Flickr. What funny is the roof stickers are still there from some Star Wars set.
  10. I disagree, every girl should know how to shoot well. Great review, very humorous.
  11. I took a crack at making a town-sized camper van. While 4-Wide is cool, I think it needs to be 6-wide.
  12. Looks great, like a Lego Dubai.
  13. This is really great. Love the octopus.
  14. First there were several Porsches, now there are several VW Vans. Love it, its a great MOC. Cheers
  15. As with all things in life, ginger for the win.
  16. This really is quite fantastic. While I'm sure everyone would prefer this to the Town Hall set, I doubt many would pony up the 700 or so dollars needed to buy that parts count.
  17. This is embarrassing, but I always thought Octan was a real European company Lego partnered with like they did with Shell in the past and Maersk now. In my case I wanted to match the logo as best could due to it being an Apple Store. Once I update the interior I plan on Cuusoing it.
  18. I like the sloped roof. My suggestion would be to raise the first floor roof a little and use slopes to join against the bottom of the sloped roof.
  19. In the US most regular Apple Stores facades are plain like that. It's based on stores like this: I'm not really a fan of custom stickers for everything; however, I am planning an update to the interior which will have some stickers. You got most of the interior correct; the computers are on the tables; the ipods are the 1x1 cheese slopes on the right shelf; the iphones are the black and white 1x1 cheese slopes on the left; and the ipads are the 1x2 cheese slopes on the left. The cases and software are on t he walls, back at the genius bar. I'm not sure what you mean, I quite like my Apple logos.
  20. Better pics added to the first post.
  21. This is a great follow up to your Bugatti. The fact that it has an interior is just gravy. Did you try using the 2x2 inverted corner bricks at the back in place of the 1x2 inverted slopes?
  22. It's a good design. Getting rid of the white bezel and keeping the screen at 2x4 would be more realistic. Use a jumper plate instead of a brick to get the screen closer to the base.
  23. Yes you can. Make a MOC out of the parts from one big set. Its that or you ask your dad for a briclink order instead of a set next time.
  24. I usually disassemble my UCS sets after a while, but not to recycle for parts. The loose parts go in gallon size ziplock bags and those are in a storage tub with some other exclusive sets like Tower Bridge. To ease reassembly of the large sets I will sometimes bag the parts according to books, so Imperial Shuttle, for example, is in four bags. I have other, smaller sets like system scale stuff and creators that are sorted for MOCs. You're going to have to buy sets for parts. Your dad may not have a problem with mixing parts if you had a sorting system other than "one big box"; he's probably worried that you will loose parts or not be able to rebuild the sets.
