  1. I would be pretty sweet if the entire box lifted off to reveal the two self-supported interior floors.
  2. Thanks, that's also my gig. Thanks for offering, I may lean on you.
  3. The golden age began and ended with the first castle... 'cause it was yellow.
  4. I'll try get all that sorted in the next week or so, but we still have plenty of time.
  5. I really like this, it has a similar, modern on old, vibe as what I tried with my motorcycle shop.
  6. I like the changes. Id like to see more shots of your lift, it looks lik it has a similar mechanism to he Town Hall. From a play pov that's more useful than mine. I know you're out of windows, but I would try make the second floor all glass to show off the cars, which means removing he separators between the windows. You could add some trans clear pieces above the door to match the windows in height. Or, you could add hinges to the side so you can open the front of the showroom. Unless you build your next modular with an indent at the back you will have clearance issues with he elevator handle; you would need to otherwise one of the first floor windows will press against th next building's wall.
  7. Back in the 80s and 90s, if someone outside of your circle of friends were having quality problems. How exactly would you know? *cough* No Internet *cough* Also, I know that as a child I was far less picky about quality problems, so unless pieces didn't fit I doubt that would have stopped me from playing with them. I sure didn't care about slight color issues, if I even would have noticed them. I wasn't buying Legos so I wouldn't have noticed price issues, and my parents wouldn't have told me. I haven't noticed across the theme price increases on non-licensed sets so its impossible to say how things would have been in the 80s/90s. I see it in City sets, but not so much in Creator or D2C sets.
  8. Windows 7, IE 9: If I click on a link that should spawn a new window, the Flickr link in my signature for example, it opens the link in my current window in addition to it spawning a new window. By the same token, if I hold down ctrl and click on the link, it generates two new tabs following that link.
  9. I have noticed this as well. Windows 7, IE 9, the insert image button puts the code at the top of the page insead of where it should be.
  10. Currently we are in a new golden age.
  11. I really like the colors and techniques; along with the contrast betweenthe carriage sides and doors.
  12. Fence posts. Railings
  13. That's a beautiful interior.
  14. I loved your first one and this is even better. I always thought it would be cool to rebuilt all the modulars vertically with walkways and stairs connecting them.
  15. I like the banners out front, but don't like that they are off-center. Maybe you can use a solution like a 1x1 brick or plate with a clip attached to a 1x1 brick with a stud on one side to center them on the poles. Or a brick with two studs on he side and a claw arm that attaches to the pole with the other end going through the brick.
  16. I also wondered if there were fireplaces/chimneys under the chimneys on the roof.
  17. You can use them for turbolasers, guns, etc.
  18. Here is a shot of how I made my door. You have to attach them at least every other tread or it will curve because there isn't enough space separating each tread; however, that would be a good method of doing an awning.
  19. I found this through a town link, but here is a light kit for R2.
  20. Check post #53
  21. The builder might also have run 2 wide bracing between the inside walls and the roof fastens to that.
