  1. After the disappointment of the Chima song and "Born to be a Ninja," I'm afraid to click on that Well, disappointments for me, at least
  2. No, TRU rarely gets sets exclusive to its stores. There's more or less no point anyway.
  3. Ooooooh. No, it's not Australia-exclusive. If Australia has ever gotten a set exclusive to us, it's gonna be VERY rare. And probably long ago, too. If we do, he'll be in either Destructoid or another exclusive book. Or summer wave.
  4. I know it's just a bad-quality pic, but I sure hope that's not the lighting and... style, they're going for. Yes, it's just an "action pose,", and they'll look more Minifig-ish when the show starts but... still. EDIT: 100th post woot!
  5. Yes, very much so The main... failure... of Chima for me was the lack of maturity and depth in the world. It only has limited story potential (quality, that is) because the universe just doesn't have that much to offer. X amount of tribes fighting over a drug-like source, a family that keeps turning evil and then good, and vice versa, a terrible host of characters with next to no "improvement," potential, and a not-very mysterious black racer who seems to half the time do nothing that leads to a good ending. They locked themselves into this problem when the concept of Chima's story was first thought of. There was no way to introduce a new faction in the existing world or open up new conflicts that would actually mean something. The only way they did (and could) do this was through the Outlands. And I can't personally see any further story potential unless they introduce a new area or an unexplained part of the Outlands. NINJAGO is able to further its story development in almost any possible way because of the open-ended nature of it. Half the universe of NINJAGO has not yet been explained in detail, or been seen. There are many possible story opportunities still left, expansions on previous events (Sensei Wu's friendship with Kai's father as Garmadon turned evil, the First Spinjitzu Master's battles with the Serpentine, Overlord, etc, Zane's father, etc) and in the untold regions to the North, East and South.
  6. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=10228-1 This is the set. Released last year, I got the name wrong, but not by much.
  7. Yeah. Crooler will be stuck there once Cragger's parents find out what happened. Or it will be a happy ending and her parents find out what really happened, and the entire series just becomes bogus.
  8. No, it's an Exclusive set. Not every set is part of the "main" wave. Because of this, the sets that are "mainstream,", are the only ones displayed as the Exclusive set is much harder to find. For instance, the Haunted Mansion of the Monster Fighters line (not the castle) only just showed up in local stores about a week ago.
  9. Not entirely true, there have been regular 'figs with noses in the past. The Clown from MF, the kid from Time Twisters (or whatever that theme was called), heck there was even a Mars Mission statue at LEGOLand of a minifig with a nose.
  10. LEGO Club website.
  11. Hmm. Lloyd is going on a victory tour around NINJAGO, right? That implies there are other cities and locations in NINJAGO than what we've seen. The fact that Cyrus was an entrepreneur that came seemingly out of no-where reinforces that idea. Perhaps Lloyd and Zane went on their own victory tours after the "Nindroid Wars," thus explaining the disappearance of them in Novel #10? The disappearance of Pixal in the description is somewhat supportive. Though why Nya became a ninja after saying she was happy being a Samurai is beyond me.
  12. That's because MC had massive successes on PC already, it didn't just come out of the blue.
  13. I think we have all had to learn that the hard way. I was finally starting to warm up to Chima, then the Fog of Destiny stuff happened, and then Black Cloud and Chima Falls happened too. This show just has up-down points. I can't help but compare this to the NINJAGO "finales," in both of which the horrible thing that happened was much worse than what Chima had going on. The first time, it was the Devourer. Major problem? It's so incredibly huge and nearly impossible to destroy. Then Garmatron. The problem? Lloyd still didn't want to fight Garmadon, even while he was possessed by the Overlord. Then he broke his leg, then everyone but Kai, Sensei, Dareth and Wu were corrupted, and then the Overlord nearly destroyed Lloyd. ...however, with this, the solutions are too insanely easy (even going by the show's previous plot). No one dies in Chima, except of old age, seemingly. Or in other words the entire world is safe. Rogon and Eris will make up, and Rogon will stop the Rhinos. The Wolves will destroy the pledge, Cragger will be reminded of his parents and become non-evil again. The Ravens will be bought off by someone, the Beavers will fix Cavora, the end. And ShadoWind will appear, be revealed to be Lavertus, explain Cragger's parents (being what turns cragger non-evil) and say what the only way to free them will be. Or in other words, the ENTIRE PLOT of Chima revolves around two old people in a Gorge who, when having the chance to be rescued, were left behind in favor of a pledge. (which, of course, ShadoWind knew would only stir more trouble than should he have rescued Cragger's parents)
  14. They've already hit stores. Hard to find, but they are out right now. While-off topic, I just bought Garmatron today, and that means I've finally bought the entirety of a single wave of any line, not including the promo stuff (eg, Stone Warrior accessory kit, Golden Sword, etc)
  15. Ha, you think you have it bad? My country (Australia) gets them sometimes a whole YEAR late, and with incredibly inflated prices.
  16. I wouldn't call games on tablets, "gaming," by any means. But no, it's not really doing a lot for younger audiences. Every kid might have an iPad, iPhone, etc but MMOs are currently pretty unpopular in tablet forms. Or AAA titles. Just look at the massive flop that was Deus Ex: The Fall. That's not to say LEGO cannot make a dent in the mobile market, I'm sure they'll do well, but Grumpy Sparrows and MMOs are different. If the Minifig MMO has a fair amount of depth to it, it will most likely be unsuccessful.
  17. I doubt it will. Chima has been an epic failure in terms of battle sequences, and there's no reason to believe THIS will be any different. Most likely case the Wolves will destroy the plege, Cragger becomes less evil, Mount Cavorah is fixed by the Beavers, etc. Though the major plot flaw is the fact that the Lions already held all the Chi in Chima. If they were to have deliberately stopped it flowing Chi, they'd just be hurting themselves in the long run. Or worse, they could have been like the Ravens and sold at insane prices. It's also fairly obvious that Rogon will stop the Rhinos because of Eris, happy ending blah blah blah.
  18. Haven't watched all of Chima Falls yet, but from the way Lagravis said it it seems the reason why the fountain stopped was because of what they did to the Bat Tribe. Nope. It wasn't. That's for sure.
  19. We actually have a fair bit of info on the story. What *IS* confirmed, is that entrepreneur Cyrus Borg came to NINJAGO City, technologicalified it (:P), presumably built Zane a girl-friend and a Nindroid army and had some kind of terrible accident and was probably posessed by the Overlord. I assume that the Techno Blades are modifications of the Elemental Blades. At this point there's not much else to go on.
  20. Oh gross. Brick Show. Ugh. Nya's name is pronounced Knee-ah, not Knie-ah. That's as bad as the guy who was calling Kai "kay".
  21. Actually, along with the Stone Army and Garmatron, I think the Elemental Blades went poof too. I don't recall seeing them after the Final Battle. Though why the Helmet of Shadows stayed is beyond me. But anyway, my memory is a bit scratchy on the subject of the TV show because I haven't watched it in a while.
  22. Good grief I wish he'd put the Face Masks on right ._.
  23. Ooh, I like-y :D
  24. Start by getting those and whatever sets you can get your hands on, really. Bit late too start collecting, but Bricklink and the other websites still have people selling sets in mint condition. I wouldn't recommend getting the Spinners, fun and cool as they may be, they're expensive and some do come in the sets. TBH I'd recommend the Fire Temple, Samurai Mech, Fangpyre Truck and mainly the "big," and "medium," sets. Would be better option right now to just get straight into the sets that are still available via retail or LEGO.com.
  25. I sure hope not, that'd be a mighty lot of chocolate rain! Toilet jokes aside, I guess the guy from the Messageboards was mostly right. Though I think that maybe leaving Lloyd out would have been a better option than having him return. Lloyd is super-duper powerful, and unless the Nindroids are made from Vengestone (or whatever that stuff is) he'd have a field day. Not that I have anything about Lloyd, he's the most under-used character including Nya out of the ones that go on missions. So many excuses had to be made for why he couldn't go on a mission, and it all revolves around making the plot better. I still do not understand why he (or Zane) couldn't have just frozen the Clock, or the Stone Army so many times. Or the Overlord. Would have saved a lot of time, even if the Warriors could still come back later.
