  1. That's odd, I have all four of them just on the shelf above my computer. Or, rather, all 5 of them, including the Pilots. Each one of them says Season 2 on the side. (except the pilots, obviously)
  2. TBS and YTC are both awful, YTC as far as I've seen just for buying everything in sight. Penkid11, don't like it, don't watch it . Brick Show is just horribly ridiculous. Back on-topic, the Minifigs look awesome.
  3. Well, considering how "Borg" is usually associated with making someone into a cyborg, yeah... Anyway, if you read the set descriptions (or at least, last time I checked anyway) you'll see that Cyrus being corrupted by technology is part of the plot.
  4. ...would you rather someone buy them and we see nothing of them again until the sets come out? EDIT: Cole, Jay, and Kai are now up on eBay... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xninjago+2014&_nkw=ninjago+2014&_sacat=0&_from=R40
  5. Sorry for yet another Double Post... but this needs to be noticed: EDIT: Another one! ANOTHER ONE! :D
  6. Yeah, I'm aware of the mini-sets. But a total line-up of 15 sets? True, NINJAGO had a similar decrease but that may have been due to the insane amount of Spinners that were coming out. EDIT: Well, actually, NINJAGO only "lost" one set. But you know what I mean
  7. Oh yikes. According to WIkipedia, the show has an estimated budget of 4,600,000 British pounds EDIT: Am I the only one getting tired of the confusion of which season is what number? Many people call the pilot episodes a season, then the next thirteen a seperate season and episodes 14-26 Season 3. Wikipedia doesn't even include the pilot episodes as a Season. And then there's the disc copies, all four volumes of which are referred to as Season Two. I am aware that officially the next Season is Season 4, but still.
  8. Only 5 main sets? Seems like they're downsizing Chima's catalogue for NINJAGO and other things.
  9. Yeah, Hover Hunter does sound more likely. I had forgotten at the time though . Anyway, it could be a Mech. I hope so, especially after the piddly little thing that is the Earth Mech. I'm gonna have to extend the arms on that thing when I get the set, eugh.
  10. Yeah, we know what the smallest set is called. Air Breaks, but there's some other versions that are more likely. Also, the number code gives that number its end. What's this about a Polybag?
  11. Have we even gotten confirmation that it was a D2C set yet? That's a rumor, and the other rumor is that it was some kind of castle.
  12. Sorry for the Double-Post here, but I just noticed something. In the "REBOOTED" poster showing all the sets, there seems to be a distinct lack of the set Destructoid. We've seen every set in the poster, if you include the Minifigs. But anything that would qualify as what Destructoid is presumed to be like is not there. Or, more plainly put, there is nothing we have not seen. So, considering (if I recall correctly) it's something like $150, considering the scale of the Mechdragon, would it be too far-fetched to believe the Tower might be Destructoid? Very unlikely, I know, but there's not really anything else to go on right now
  13. More like a bear, really.
  14. Hmm, good point on the Minifigs and the set name. I always thought "Destroyers" sounded somewhat odd. Only time will tell, I guess.
  15. I'm hoping we get pictures of Destroyers soon... and the back art of the Thunder Raider. I'm really interested to see how the "flip-out" missiles work, how the "action mode" works and how the Earth Mech fits onto it. Given that someone has the Jay minifig already, one can hope...
  16. Well, that's certainly not what the guy who recreated the LMS Explorer did...
  17. Yes, I realized that. But there's no real structure to the HQ, the set itself did a better job of it by really joining everything together and making it close-knit
  18. Very nice work! But the buildings look a bit... I don't know, stiff? There's no real flow or main structure that would make it feel like a real HQ. Oh, and that's the largest physical Rock Raiders MOC to date. Someone recreated the LMS Explorer with digital bricks. Sorry to break the news to you :P
  19. The box art (and alt view) of the Mechdragon do look horrible IMO. Everything looks so static and... stiff. I am reserving my further judgement for when it comes out, I have no reason to hate it just yet. It looks promising, though. But honestly I'm pretty annoyed at the amount of stickers. Especially on "slopes". Don't mind them on diagonal parts, just don't put them on the slopes and I'm fine. Because they're a pain to work with when they're curved and they don't last as long from my experience.
  20. Weeeeeeeeeell... That's your opinion.
  21. No, Samukai only commissioned Julien to make the Skull bikes and such. I doubt the Devourer's venom still exists, as Garmadon was "purified", of sorts. But that may be just removing the after-effects permanently. And the venom does many things, but it does not transform people. Garmadon became "skeletal" after being shocked by lightning and banished. Anyway, yes, the apartment will probably be affordable. And I'd say a lot of time has passed, or at least a year or two. An entire city does not get rebuilt overnight, magic weapons or not Oh, and this stuff belongs in the TV show thread, in the Culture and Media subforum, not in this thread.
  22. The failure of the game lied in poor marketing and a subscription-based model that the entire MMO industry seemed to be moving away from. Lack of content was a big one, there was about a month's worth of content in the original game excluding the updates without it getting very repetitive. That might sound like a lot, but it isn't really. The mixture of themes was a great success, but the biggest problem seemed to be in marketing it. Non-gamer parents were hard at understanding why they need to pay for the game after they've bought it, and they usually had no concept of how PC requirements worked. When the "F2P update", came out, there was a huge boost in membership. But F2P was restricted to one world, et cetera. Back on topic, very interesting to see how TLG reacts to even pre-finalized concepts. Or at least, how they used to.
  23. I see a very large connection, but to be honest I like the GS one better. Ninjacopter is brilliant, but it's a bit lackluster in defining how wide it is at the front, it just doesn't look very solid in the cockpit.
  24. No, I doubt that that would be the case. If that was true, then Garmadon would have been born evil or bitten when Wu was born. Anyway, the balance is "perfect" after the Overlord was defeated. Not all the serpentine were locked in the Stone Army tomb, the skeletons are still around and the Dark Island is most likely still around. Strangely though the Golden Mech disappeared with the Stone Army. I might add that I am happy to see that Garmadon's buggy isn't a piddly little thing like we've gotten in past years. Usually we get a big massive vehicle and a tiny little quad bike. Funnily enough though it reminds me of the Dino Attack sets with the box art
  25. Like I said, he was either infected by the Borg (oh man that sounds too much like Star Trek now) or kidnapped and "cloned" (a term I use loosely as cloning implies organic replicas) Though, an interesting thing to note is that Wu is called "evil Wu". This does lead to a bit of thought of the "cloned" explanation, but equally it could be used for kids to distinguish good guy and villain. One thing I am a bit so-so on is the lack of Spinners (yet). I'm glad they're gone, because as much as I loved them I have never had anyone to "duel" with and it makes me a bit crazed on getting *all* of them. But I'm sad they're gone because it means no cool character art, no easy "army builder" stuff... heck, this is the first year when every character can have their own spinner (except for the Falcon ). But then again, they seemed to be running out of ways to make the characters advance in their elemental powers yet not quite seem too overpowered. Can't wait to get more views of the Mechdragon, I've taken another look and it's really growing on me. The Ninjacopter is nothing like I expected and in a good way. It is innovative and will stand out very well in comparison to other sets. Unfortunately, it reminds me slightly of the dreaded 5971 Gold Heist. Eugh. (ironically that set can go for $80 these days. ) Air breaks could do with some major modifications. Which brings me to another point... The Techno Blades seem incredibly... "unmatched". What I mean is, Cole is given a chained Blade. Yet Jay is normally the one who uses chained weaponry. Zane is using a "staff" Blade, yet Cole is the one who would be more likely to use that sort of weapon. And Jay is given a very spiky one, despite Zane being the one who gets the pointy throw-able stuff . Kai is the only one who seems to get one true to his nature, really. Ah well, can easily swap 'em around, I guess. Still, somewhat annoyed at it regardless. EDIT: While this is almost definitely in the wrong thread, have we actually gotten any news on Season 4 other than the measly bits we've gotten?
