Hmm, that makes sense... though personally, I think the Uruk-hai would be more accurate in that colour. It would be much clearer if there was some sort of "birthing pit" included, so we know that's just mud and not actual skin. Those are much more expensive than I expected, even if they are marked up.

Thanks for the pic! Hmm, strange. I don't actually remember shields having the White Hand, so it's a bit odd that they have them and the chest armour doesn't. I was also hoping for hand position variety, but oh well.

Wow... so many nice figures! Is that a new face for Han in the Palace? He looks kind of paralysed. The Malevolence is also smaller than I first thought (yay!). The planet sets are nice, but all of the planets look a bit off. The marbling is okay on Bespin, but looks really weird on Yavin IV. The halves don't even fit together that well... As for the Jedi Starfighter, I don't mind more. I have three at the moment, and I might be the only person that'd be happy if Anakin's was rereleased.

Ooh, that's quite nice. It definitely looks like a possible theme, I wonder if anything like it is being planned... It might mess up the colour scheme with the vehicles and everything, though it'd be great to see the figures in different colours.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
Delta 38 replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm, that's an interesting point. Would it have been a breach of copyright or something to create something based on the Winchester? I think Lego was okay with the concept, but sketchy on the basis of it. I could see something like the Winchester working perfectly fine, if it weren't based on an "inappropriate" film. Even if it was "violent" (giant saw blades, etc.) but wasn't based on anything, it would most likely still be acceptable. -
Hmm, the server was provided by Servercraft (if I'm not wrong? It's been a while) so as far as setting up the actual server goes, I don't think any of us know much about that. The server was running out of their service, not Pinioncorp's actual internet connection.

Actually, I just noticed something. With the Toy Fair (I know they're prelim, but still), we saw three Orcs. One had the hair with ears, one had Lurtz's hair, and one didn't have a headpiece. I might be reading into this too much, but perhaps someone thought at the last minute that the one with Lurtz's hair might be mistaken for an Uruk-hai, and quickly removed it. If the lack of hair is really that worrying, you could always equip Lurtz with the armour and give his hair to the Orc.

Ooh, that's quite nice. It does seem a little different, possibly because of the colours. I'm getting more interested in Architecture sets now, since they recently became available here. There aren't many of them and they're pretty overpriced, but they're nice models.
-
Noo! Why did they take out an Orc? The lack of a hairpiece is a shame, because it also means the head won't be double-sided. The printed armour is nice, but it's hardly consolation for losing a figure.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
Delta 38 replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm. It's too bad nothing came out of it, I was hoping to see what they'd come up with. That said, I view most Cuusoo projects (particularly the ones that would require a license) with an amount of skepticism. Regardless of whether the core material is "acceptable" or not, I see very few licensed projects actually making the cut, for one reason or another. I thought Cuusoo was primarily for peoples' own creations, which would probably work out better in terms of production though gathering support would be very slow. I don't know how plausible it is to just get a license quickly like that. Ultimately, it all revolves around factors nobody can control. It's a shame, either way. -
Ooh, nice. I can't make out any more details from what we've already seen though. Maybe it's just me, but Jabba's looking a bit green here.
-
Hmm. I think we do need some helmets and armour with the White Hand, but that looks... a bit off. The hand's placement looks odd and a bit artificial. If we were getting the White Hand on anything, it'd need to be in various positions and angles. That said, I'm getting used to not seeing the hand. A large army might actually look better without it.

Hmm, interesting. While I do like the new horse mould, I don't think they should get rid of the original. The new horse seems like (for lack of a better term) an "action" horse, so it might look slightly odd if the horse is meant to just be standing (e.g. in a farm set).
-
Hmm, after closer inspection it IS different. I think it's probably a refined new mould, not necessarily related to TDKR but at least released before it should have been.
-
I found the link: here. It seems to be the normal version, if I'm not wrong...
-
Hmm, interesting. Purple pants instead of the tan we have on the other Hulk. I think they might have done too much detail with Hulk's face in this case, though. I think the large Hulk's simpler face print is better.
-
That's very nice, even without the chrome. I'm starting to hate promos more now.
-
Hmm, there are a lot of exclusive Superheroes promos, aren't there? As far as I recall, there's Green Lantern (currently, anyway), the Iron Man variant, Bucky Barnes, Lex Luthor in armour and now minifig-sized Hulk? Personally, I think at least Lex Luthor and Hulk should probably appear in future sets, like Green Lantern probably is. It seems too much of a waste to just have them as exclusives.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
Delta 38 replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ah yes, I remember when this was first featured on the Eurobricks frontpage. Interesting, I believe your MOC is the fourth ever set to reach 10000 followers on Cuusoo. I know nothing about the franchise, but however the proposal goes, it should be interesting. -
Hmm, the Orc Forge isn't an exclusive, is it? It seems to be missing everywhere*. *I don't really remember where it's missing from, just that it's missing. Assuming the prices translate into about 170% in Australian dollars, they're fairly reasonable. Weathertop is a bit strange and I wonder if combining two of them would make it look any better, though that might be a bit costly.
-
Wow, that's great! The detailing is great and I like the lights.
-
Hmm, Spider-man looks great, but the other two figures look a bit odd. I see what they're trying to do with Doc Ock, but a darker colour scheme would be much better.
-
Yay, high-resolution images! Looks like that is the final Cave Troll design. Oh well, I can live with that. And that's what's inside Weathertop... I have no idea what it's meant to be, but it looks nice.
-
Have we seen the final version yet? I do think the printing there should be broken up a bit, because it's a flat colour. I wonder if it's too late to change the blue. A slightly darker bluish-grey colour might work better.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Delta 38 replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I suppose it would be a bit weird, buying a whole box and returning most of them the next day... Oh well, thanks anyway. I was under the impression that smaller items (the cheap stuff at counters) was unreturnable.
