Stilzkin Bridge Launcher

Wow, amazing. All I can really say. -
LEGO Universe pre-order starts the 14th of May
Delta 38 replied to sologuy369's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes, the prices are expensive, and it is a subscription-type payment, as I thought. Haven't found prices for Australia yet, but no longer want to. -
Ah, I see. I don't really want to bend them at all, just curious.
-
Hmm, I didn't notice that the front of the truck was that small. There's hardly any space. I don't mind the lack of space from the exterior, but the inside could be better. The feature is quite nice, but from excessive use may give minifigs a battering... I hadn't noticed the dumpster doesn't have a lid. A partial disappointment, but oh well.
-
Interesting. Not quite as good as the Castle one. Some nice parts, though.
-
Nice. A few good minifigs to add to a Castle collection, and a few nice details. I've never seen an advent calendar set in a store before, but it still looks nice.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Delta 38 replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Four dollars for a bag? Insanity! There go any hopes of building armies of spacemen/zombies/robots/cavemen/ninjas. Of course, if I can find these at an easily accessible store, I'll still consider it. Four dollars for a minifig is like an impulse set with just the minifig! -
LEGO Universe pre-order starts the 14th of May
Delta 38 replied to sologuy369's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, preordering starts soon for those who want to. I'm currently divided on if I should get the game, because I'm fairly sure it is a subscription model (e.g. $10 every month to play), not a one-off payment. I won't be preordering either way. -
...Hang on, is that a clone commander's armour? I see, the gun/mini vehicle thing belongs to the "Brickfather" or "Brick Daddy" minifig. I find those names pretty horrible, and "Jawson" is strange. I am almost completely sure that the pearl gold cone piece near the front of the limo is connected to the... rocket launcher (what else should I call it?) which is hidden at the front. The space that's left there looks a bit strange, though... Oh, and the gold version of the new head (at the front of the limo) hasn't got eye printing, which is rather unfortunate. I will still take it off and use it as a head, even though it is faceless. If I get two "Jawson" minifigures, I'll use that head for one of them. I'm divided on the base. I'm not a base person, but the minifigures are good. Hopefully it won't be any more than $100 or so.

That looks like a great set. I imagine it could be combined with various other sets to make a large city. Unfortunately, I won't get it, because it's too far out of my price range. The yellow car looks similar to the red version, but I can see some changes.

Nice. The wheels do look delicate, though. I won't get this set because of pricing.

Review- LEGO Toy Story 3- 7599 Garbage Truck Getaway
Delta 38 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Interesting. Twitch is a nice minifigure, but I also like the dirty Buzz (mixed on the dirty Jessie, as I won't be getting the normal one). I've come to the conclusion that this set and the Trash Compactor set are perfect matches, so I'll try to get both. -
Nice. The camouflage pattern is great.
-
Oh, the actual thing looks like that? That's good, because I've been considering making some adjustments to the front (I don't really like the left side being different), but now my decision not to is justified. It doesn't come with an alternate face for Stretch as I hoped. I agree that the face is a bit strange. Oh well. Are Stretch's tentacles bendable?

REVIEW: Portal of Atlantis 8078
Delta 38 replied to daoudbazaar's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Must stop reading reviews of sets that will probably take a few months to get here... Definitely no manta warrior, which is a shame. Interesting face for guardian. I hope I can find and afford this, or else all my plans will be ruined... -
Ah, I see. Nice incentive for healthy eating. The only promos we have had here (to my memory) were the exact opposite, with Mcdonalds or snack foods instead.
-
Toyworld? That's a bit unfortunate, as I don't think I've been there before, if at all. I'll need a good way to get a complete set in one purchase, because it's not too accessible for me. I hope they come out in other stores, in case I miss a few... (Edited, wrong store, whoops!)
-
There are new details of how to get the promos (or at least one of them) at Brickset. Apparently you need to buy bananas at Tesco, and you redeem tokens from each pack for various things. The offer seems to be for the UK, therefore I won't be able to get any. The alien promo also appears to be exclusive to Tesco. I think captainsamus is right by saying they have different retailers with the promos, as there's no mention of the other one.

The first thing that came to mind was a miniature Quest Against Time set. A nice set, and the dagger is a nice bonus.
-
Really? Hmm... I wonder if this applies to Australia. Of course, that's if they come out here at all. I'm becoming rather sceptical whether particular sets are coming out or not. Nice review. I'm glad the magician comes with hair as originally planned. I don't know if I will get a whole box, because I only want multiples of a select few.

Ooh, new image! Those astronauts look sort of familiar...

Review (Picture and Video) 8093 Plo Koon's Starfighter
Delta 38 replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Stickers and Clone Wars-styled Astromech are bad, but the rest is fine. Looking back, I really should have bought all those previous starfighters to go with this one. I don't know why I didn't get any... -
Hang on, those still aren't available yet? It looks like Australia might be ahead, for once! I already have both.

Review: LEGO Toy Story 3~7596 Trash Compactor Escape
Delta 38 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'll get this set only if it's $60 or less, because it's not a must-have. The minifigs are great, though, and more aliens (dirty or not, as soon as I buy the pizza truck I'll still only have one) would be good. -
No, I don't think that's the case here. The last catalogue I saw had a teaser for them saying "coming April", but it's likely that they've been knocked back a month or two. Back on topic, I just realised that the front of the dump truck isn't symmetrical as I had assumed. I never really took notice of the other side of it, because I thought it'd be the same. It's not a big issue, but it looks a bit odd.
