Hmnn I wonder if we have any data about Mars mission / SP 3's effects on star wars set sales. In my case, I was about to decide to buy me a certain cool star wars ship until I figured out I could instead get a hyper speed pursuit with more pieces by a lower price instead.

I know, I am actually the guy who added the [citation needed] tag to it. I think that it is unlikely it is not true. Forget about that wiki entry for a second, we still know that LEGO has registered the ninjago.com domain, so they are indeed planning something. More so, that entry on Donovan's credits would be very surreal to be made up. I mean, to whom would it occur to do such a wikipedia vandal of modifying a not well known voice actor's biography to include a movie credit of such an obscure name? I will keep my doubts about such movie thing being true. But what I can say is that LEGO is going to do something called NinjaGo, it may be a theme, or a short or both.

The quality is quite visible. And although it probably isn't as good as LEGO in the 80s-90s, I am actually wondering if its quality is not as 'good' or better than the 2008+ LEGO. I mean, I keep seeing some mold marks in some pieces, specially my newest set: the snow trooper battle pack has some marks that I was not used to see, (it is not a big issue but I am just saying current LEGO quality is not as hard to beat as it was in the 90s). As this Click Brick quality is rather new (old click brick sets were actual Chinese imports) I doubt we'll be seeing much of them outside the UK this year. I hope they grow and keep up with their quality until they can get into the international market.

Well, improbable does not equal impossible. This is the sort of issue in which TLG would most likely end replacing the part if you request so.

Hehe, do I win points since I instantly knew the strip was about the mysterious star justice girl just after reading "Jenny (Part 1)"? (And was excited) Heh It occurs to me that Weiss coincidentally resembles the space tribute statue

It is not about the weapon being hollow but about the hollowness being noticeable and ruining 50% of the poses. Fixing that mistake would take to just make a second piece for the guitar that attaches to the other one.

Just because the pieces have to be hollow it does not mean the overall design has to be hollow. Stronius' maze is very thick and its finished design is not hollow.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

Can we really trust a toy store that much though? -
I just love the design even though tractors are not my thing. The one in the left is LEGO because the logo in the stud is visible :)

It sounds very useful. Although to be honest, MoCing for me stands for putting whatever brick I can find together until it starts looking like something I want to finish and with LDD it would sound hard. Another thing that sounds hard to do is knowing if the build is strong enough. Nevertheless, the ability to use any piece without having to go through all your sorted bins sounds nice. I would give it a try, if it wasn't that it is dows/mac-only. Booting windows is to me a very sad experience that I would like to avoid as much as possible and LDD's potential is not strong enough to make me want to go through all that suffering. Normally I would use WINE but LDD has been programmed using the worst techniques possible (full of flash :( ), so it just does not work in WINE. Even tried in virtualbox but it comes out sloooow.

My best guess would be that the lime plate is there to allow you to customize the dice with more than one face having green on it.

"Thornax" launcher: * It actually shoots, that sets him apart from 75% of the alternative. * It is actually built, even though it is acceptably a simple design. * Unlike the piraka/Inika ones, balls do not fall off. * The pieces used by it are useful for other things. * "Balls" available in different colors and shapes. Edit: I don't get why does the Midak come pre-built. I think it could have easily been something to build. At least the gear and axis could have been a technic part and an axle, would have improved the experience a lot.

A dangerous mix of curiosity and boredom took me to this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Donovan

Well, not specifically cyborgs but a slightly futuristic team of ninja fighting against... "evil". I think I would prefer something closer to the old ninja theme as well but historically-correct ninjas are just unlikely with such a cheesy name as NinjaGo. The Go really makes it sound like an action theme.

Pirates are unlikely due to PotC. The hopeful in me wishes for something like a mix between agents and ninjas.

It is proof TLG registered the domain name. So they have some plans for that name. I have no idea what sort of sordid plans they might have. But since we had previous rumors about it being a new theme, then that's a likely conclusion.
-
It turns out TLG even registered the ninjago.com domain so it seems legit. Though I guess it is better to go to the 2011 theme thread instead: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42801&st=105

It seems the name is final ... http://www.ninjago.com :) http://www.robtex.com/dns/ninjago.com.html

Preliminary name is preliminary. "Atlantis" used to be called "Atlantic".

Any Lego Racer and Creator fans out there?
vexorian replied to Brickd's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am doing my best to stop the impulse to begin collecting all of the tiny creator sets. Specially because plenty of toy stores in my city still have even 2007 ones like 4917. Well, creator seems so interesting, if it wasn't for SP3, exo-force and starwars all being available and appealing to the high tech fiction freak in me, I would move to creator, but I think I will eventually get into the habit of getting creator stuff every once in a while. -
Hmnn do notice that we are already in 2011 rumors season. There is a strong rumor that a new action theme prematurely called NinjaGo will be released in early 2011. Of the two action themes slots we have, I'd say that the other one is taken by Atlantis as it is a strong theme likely to have at least one wave. The other slot would be used by NinjaGo and that basically reduces the chances for Power Miners to 0. It would also be very strange for an action theme to have a three waves with a one-wave long break.

Plo Koon's fighter should be in CW and not classic, shouldn't it? I mean, Plo plays a bigger role in CW than in the movies.

Hmnn, to my understanding although the patents on the basic bricks have expired, there are still many parts that are under patents and thus mega can't use many of the ones in LEGO's inventory. Which leads them to make their own parts (and patent them). When you take a look at the correctly-designed (not PoTC) megabloks sets, the basic bricks and slopes are the same as TLG's but the more advanced parts like things used by SNOT and movement are different. My point is that although you can probably reproduce the exterior of the tank, the interior may require megabloks-exclusive pieces.

power miners in 2011 :D
vexorian replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It is a wiki after all. The reference it has for 2011 powerminers is ... wikipedia's power miners page, specifically the section about lava monsters which says nothing about 2011.
