Ah didnt learn from the keelhauling I gave you last time eh?! Now you gotta go and pick on another Canuck...well. Now you'll have to walk da plank matey! Aaron PS I an effort to avoid getting blamed for flaming, I hereby attest that my comment to make Mr Tiber walk the plank is purely in jest and I have no actual ship with a plank to make him walk off, and even if I did own a ship with a plank, Mr Tiber is a contributing member to this forum and therefore has immunity from such acts being performed on his person How nice, but wasn't it Jack Dagger who got keelhauled?? Or did he gave you the dubloon?? Arr ye be right...I never did get my dubloon but I believe I was promised to be introduced to his wenches

Thats the one...hey...Captain...does that mean I got promoted? Aaron PS Thats a round about way of asking if the rank system works yet.

"Borrow" away - it is a pirates forum after all. The black vest/blue sleeves torso is from the 1979 vintage Snack Bar or Bus Station (was in both of those, at least). The green rag hat isn't one of those expensive BL ones - it was surgically removed from a 4+ pirates fig. Oh! Surgically removed...cool. Looks good too. I might have to send a pirate to the orlop deck to visit the surgeon. Aaron

there was a physical to scale model made for the Acheron for the boarding scenes as well as a cgi model and a scaled model as well. There's a fair amount of nice pics on the Master and Commander Collection Edition DVD and all the behind the scenes and stuff is pretty cool too!

Thankyou! I plan to steal..er...take...borrow some elements from that. very helpful! Also like that sailor in black vest with blue sleeves, got any closeups? or what middle section is that from? And that fella with the green headwrap looks pretty nifty too, I priced out a green cap on BL and oh boy! I ordered some other colors instead. Aaron I did - the brig Seatop uses brick built anchors... actually anchors borrowed from my frigate Mis

Ritchie I'm some glad you joined us here at eurobricks. I always enjoyed your designs at that other site but there was very little activity other there, I usually end up borrowing design elements from your ships. Aaron BTW did you recently show a ship with a MOC anchor? if so could you post a pic again? thanks

What do you do with your ships after you build them?
Aaron Morse replied to SkaForHire's topic in LEGO Pirates
Use an unused paint brush for getting rid of dust...works really well I find. -
whatsa deep link...I specialize in ships not internet.

sure I nominate my ship...I've got a pretty good variety of crew aboard too. About 80 sailors and 20 marines. If you look at the latest pics of my frigate you may notice my next project has been started as well. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=200620 PS might not be cleared for public viewing yet..

Boy did I ever get a good deal at a local retail store Zellers recently. They had all thier clearance lego marked 50% off the lowest price! So I picked up a bunch of 4506's for $12.50 CAN (approx 11ish US) so now I got 4 big mama sharks cruising around my ships. I also picked up 4856 (Doc Ock's Hideout) for $26 CAN. Its got alot a wharf pieces! Also got 7074 (the 4+ pirate kit) for $15 CAN. Over all I think I spent about $200-300, I even went to the Zellers across the river but they didn't have the same deal, they said its because the other store had so much Discontinued stuff they wanted to blow it out... I think I'll run over tomorrow and se what else they have! -
Fine fine...My favorite MOC is this one. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=196877 oh wait...thats my ship :) PS should have new pics on progress later on today. I've been waiting for two orders from bricklink to complete. I was hoping to have them for the long weekend, but alas canada post is rather on the slowish side.

I had no idea the British had a three decker on Lake Ontario...and I'm supposed to be Canadian...Sheesh I'm ashamed...ashamed I say! I shall henceforth refer to Admiral Starwind as "Admiral Knowitall" cause I though I was the know it all. I gotta go walk my own plank now.

we had a great spring and a great summer 25-35c pretty much the whole way through. Spring is usually pretty messy and not quite so warm but this year was very nice (I like global warming!) C'mon down and we'll war game... my two boys, aged 5 and 7, aren't quite old enough yet to realize there are rules to wargaming. But its kinda cool to get your entire crew and marines (80+) mowed down by Count Dooku, General Greivous, two Boba Fetts and Batman. Kids have such a great imagination. Kinda reminds me of "Ultimate Showdown or Ultimate Destiny" ever seen the video? Its pretty nifty! check it out its a hoot! http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/285267 wasn't this Canuck...what is the market price for an imperial soldier nowadays? i have been picking them up from 2.50 - 4.00 american but then you have to add shipping of atleast 2 dollars sometimes 6.00 per lot... and they average around 3 or 4 figs a lot... so i figured i was saving money just bidding really high for 40 when shipping is 4 pounds... whatever that is... like 8 bucks i think lol. i see two broadsides in the lot which are worth alot more... so my total was like 160 after shipping I believe... that is 4 dollars per fig with two broadsides.... so it was an expensive aquisistion, but i probably would have spent that much over the next couple months anyway picking the same figs up... i want to do some war gaming and i am very short on imperials to man my ships. but this last purchase has really broken my bank... i think i am going to give my ebay pw to my fiance for safe keeping for a couple months... maybe... lol. Giving your pw to ebay to your fiance might not be a good idea if your fiance is like my wife. :) C'mon down to new brunswick canada and I'll destroy yer pathetic little army beneath my heel! (figuratively i'd never destroy a lego minifig, that would be....unthinkable!) Yeah you are probably right... women like spending money too much. LOL. Probably... but these 40 will put me over 100 imperials, so i finally have a company! hahaha.... Never been to NB, is it nice in the summer? i used to live in ontario for military school, so i suppose i am a shade canuck myself... Which makes me wonder... i wonder if we could ever have a "pirate fest" get together somewhere, i know alot of people are from all over the world so i supposed there is no real good destination to go to... but it would be cool to find a place where we could rent out a large conference room at a hotel, wargame, show off our pirate MOCs and drink! lol those of us that are of age in whatever country we do it in of course.... lol I know it sounds like brickfest, but i mean a smaller scale, plus i dont know how much wargaming happens at brick fest??? -

That sentence doesn't quite make sense! It appears to be missing some words, what happens when you get a response letter that causes you to get made? I think you're both confused, one doesnt want to be a designer and the other doesnt want to get made, or is that mad?
