  1. Is it cheating to say Assassin of the Light?
  2. I fire at Undead Novice A from the back.
  3. I continue to repeat my attack.
  4. I repeat my attack!
  5. I fire at Undead Mob A from the back
  6. I spin around to fire at the Chemist from the back row.
  7. Hybros, if I may, there's a chance, I can take out the second Chemist just as efficiently. I can't do that with the Sicarii.
  8. I fire at Chemist A from the Back.
  9. I like the idea of new dice using ether, CMP! It keep the old dice unique but balances any new ones.
  10. What is game night? I mutter softly, picking up the schedule. Interesting die, there, Guts, but personally I wouldn't trade for it.
  11. That's... actually a really good point, though I would reach the opposite conclusion. Avengers definitely was a fun fare which did the impossible and gathered a bunch of solo leads under one title. It was unique, it was fun. Everyone bounced off each other nicely, and it was a good time. AoU is a much deeper film. Most of the mains get at least some notes of character development and growth. We see a villain that represents everything our characters dread. While I, personally, enjoyed the action, there definitely was a lot of it. Perhaps enough to bog down many viewers. It might have just been my seat at the theater, but I feel while Avengers was very wide in camerawork, AoU was very closed in and focused. Maybe that was intentional, given the deeper themes. That said, I wouldn't take this to mean Avengers is better. It's probably a more fun movie over all, but I would say AoU is better for being able to take all the character work to another level while still having everyone (if not more people) feel relevant. As for AoU and it's connection to the franchise, there's definitely a lot more in this than Avengers. I think that's just a result of the fact that we're coming back several years later. There's definitely more set up, but it's also building of a lot more as well. Stark's PTSD and the Iron Legion from IM3, Cap's unease about slowing down and the haunting memories of his past from Winter Soldier, and so on all contribute to the movie as a whole. It's definitely not a stand-alone, but I'm not convinced it really needs to be.
  12. Everyone looks great, but that Falcon blew me away. I might have to pick up that Green Lantern set just for the wings.
  13. I once heard someone say that if you want to try something new, or to change what you've had in mind, go with the complete opposite of the original. A kind of ying/yang scenario, often your new idea will be pretty fresh and original, and you won't have the concerns of being too similar to your last character. Obviously you can't just flip everything and leave it at that, but it definitely provides a new base to start from.
  14. I suppose we might as well head to this 'home base'? See what's there.
  15. I follow the path and step on A1.
  16. It's fairly spot-on with the comics look without seeming ridiculous on screen. I'm excited. There's also some nice pictures of Falcon's new suit and a few others on set.
  17. Oh, I agree. If anything, it's more important than ever to keep fighting, or else who will? Still, I can't pretend I don't wish this chaos was all over. I wait to see Guts' results.
  18. I suppose you're right, it's just... you didn't see how close the powder keg in Baltarok was to being lit. How close we were to all-out war between Heroes. That's not the first time I've seen that, either. I don't know if the old Heroica ever came to blows like that, but... it just doesn't sit right. I follow Erik's path to A4 and B4.
  19. I keep hearing this, but it makes absolutely no sense to me.
  20. I've telling myself that for the past few years, but apart from the rise and fall of a few fringe groups, nothing's really changed. I shake my head tiredly. What we need is a unified movement, a group that can rally the people. But I have no idea who would start that or what shape it would take. It's not the Wolfgang, and it sure ain't Heroica anymore.
  21. A trap like this doesn't really seem in the Bonaparte's MO. Could be left over from the pirates? Either way, this'd be a pain for Bonaparte HR. I begin to follow the others down the line. And do what? Rule Eubric by ourselves? The Houses are a pain, but they're a necessary evil. Eubric has no other ruling government, and you can be sure the Heroes won't do it. More and more people come into Heroica for the money more than to do something right. It's like they didn't even bother to read the sign over the door.
  22. So this essentially is Minesweeper on the move?
  23. Much the same as here, except in Baltarok they were forwarding their goals by supplying the Kingdoms with the equipment to start war on the orcs. I grew up in the Kingdoms, Hybros. I won't stand to see it defiled like that. Honestly, I've dealt with worse. There was a woman a few years back, name was Lady Wren. She wanted to become the goddess of Chaos, and came scarily close too. She went on and on about the philosophies of chaos. Actually got a good friend of mine to take her side on the subject. The whole thing was a mess. Sadly, that's nothing compared to the state Eubric is in. Six different houses, all wanting to forward their own goals and never willing to concede. They go through their petty squabbles and everyone else gets crushed underneath. As hard as it is, that's why Heroica has to exist, to look out for those who can no longer look out for themselves. To keep the peace for just a little bit more.
  24. I sit back and watch out for incoming enemies ? Was I supposed to be in included in one of those groups?
  25. Strange, I haven't had any of these visions. I wonder what's causing them.
