  1. I fight to keep my balance on the shaking earth. I have no words for the massive Guardian. What's our strategy? Hope for the best? I drop to one knee and heft up the crossbow, working for decently steady aim. From the back row I fire at Leg A (Arm B, Leg B).
  2. Brother? I am breathless, amazed. After years, here we were again. Eyric pulls me into a brief hug before straightening. A ghost of a grin is on his face but he tries to remain professional. It's been too long. I've missed you, you know we could really use your help in the Kingdoms. I give a shake of my head. Duplovia isn't mine to protect anymore. It's yours. I'm doing good work with Heroica, but the work is far from finished. That's where my life is now.
  3. I didn't realize this about your race, though I suppose in hindsight it makes sense. It would please you then to learn - if you haven't already - that the Dark Lady who we fought against has been defeated. More than that, I myself beheaded the scum that killed Triad. I would love to walk the streets once more, but we should probably get to work swiftly. I'd hate to overstay my welcome a second time.
  4. i brace slightly as McColt arranges a meeting with the king. Already I believed I recognized the voice of the guard, there'd surely be familiar faces in the court. The walk away from the gate comes as a relief. Hopefully McColt will deal with all those politics himself. The streets of Duplovia hit me with a wash of memory. A nostalgic smile is firmly set by the time we reach our destination. I say little to the woman, only nodding curtly as I lose myself in recollections of the past.
  5. I think Dyric is pretty obviously Lawful or Neutral Good, but I have a hard time figuring out which one.
  6. A sense of awe falls on me as I see the great walls again. Perhaps I stare too long, as I suddenly become aware of an answer expected of me. I am Dirrone McHolla of the Haddon envoy lead by captain McColt. We request entrance.
  7. Please, I was there. Long time ago, that was. You know, to be honest I'm not sure which is worse - a goddess wannabe or the king who had me exiled. Hopefully we won't have to find out.
  8. It's been a long time. I've changed. Besides, no one is going to expect to see Dyric Rone, so no one will think I am Dyric Rone. Still, I should go by a different name. Uh, Dirrone McHolla? Part of the Haddon envoy?
  9. You've already introduced me? I'm not sure I like the idea of giving out my name so close to Duplovia.
  10. Indeed it will. As McColt leaves, I walk over to Guts. McColt is giving us a ride to Duplovia tomorrow evening. Who's your friend?
  11. Duplovia is going to be interesting alright. We could do well with another one who knows the area. It would be a pleasure to have you aboard.
  12. They've kept themselves busy. Arthur was actually with us, but our group split two ways. This ship was heading for Duplovia, and then Baltarok.
  13. I think it'd be quicker to recount what I haven't done. I've encountered several dragons, helped the orcs in Baltarok, stopped a necromancer's invasion - I've been a busy man. No smelling salts, huh? Well, I'll take a mead.
  14. I take the open seat by McColt. So, what have you been up to? OoC: Sorry, just really didn't have much to add at the time.
  15. Whilst cleaning my weapons, I note a new letter in my cloak. Ah, another lottery. I sign my name and continue working without even waiting for the letter to disappear.
  16. McColt! I smile warmly, breathing in the smells of Haddon once more. It had been years. Memories flooded back as I recall the both the fight against Wren, as well as my own impulsiveness and naivety. Oh, how things had changed. I greet the captain heartily, returning to the present. How have you been? Last time we met... must have been our final fight against the Dark Lady. Wow, how time flies.
  17. I have connections, but somehow I doubt they'd be too fond of seeing me again.
  18. It could have been worse as well. Pirates and sea monsters - the Crystaline's gotten a lot more dangerous recently.
  19. Someone take the Third Mate, I've got these two! I fire twice at the First Mate (Captain, Third Mate), shredding him from the back row.
  20. Thanks for the lift. I fire at the first mate (Captain, Third Mate) and the Nordic Crew. (Third Mate, Captain).
  21. I go with the plan. I like the ocean, but I'm not fond of being this close to it. OoC: Assassination triggers for each enemy individually, yes.
  22. Dropping to one knee, I heft up the massive crossbow. I aim at the Third Mate (Second Mate, Nord Crew) and fire from the back row.
  23. I wouldn't be so cocky. Have you seen the giants of Duplovia? I have, once. It is not an event I would like to repeat. Even so, there are other dangers that could be in the ruins. Trolls and norghs and other foul creatures. I don't know what we will find, but I wouldn't rush in too quickly.
  24. Well Yellow Jacket was notably supposed to be a Phase One throwback. Personally, I liked him. He wasn't the greatest villain, but I his motivations and insanity were pretty well done for the most part.
