Ditto. I shouldn't have to tell anyone that I have a well developed backstory for Dyric - not all of which is revealed yet, of course - but despite that, I have still had a lot of room to develop. If anything, his development has lead him away from his past, which is something I find really interesting. I, personally, feel it important that each quest affects the character in its way. A lot of you have noted that I tend to play Dyric as a sum of his experiences, and I really feel honoured by that. Its definitely how I've tried to play him. Dyric takes something out of every Quest, and they all have affected him greatly. It's reasons like this why Zepher's quests are some of the most fun for me, because they really dramatically affect the characters - for example, Quest 19 had the characters thrust into a massive war, which turned out being for nothing except to fuel Wren's grab for chaos. War of any kind, and especially like that, should definitely affect the characters, its just up to the player what exactly the character takes from these experiences.

Although it pleases me to finally see Duplovia and Delfrin come to peace, I fear something dark stirring here. It is good the King is continuing his distaste of Rogues for the moment, I do not think I would be welcome there anyways. Not yet. Besides, Eubric still needs saving, doesn't it, brother?

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
The Legonater replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
JAT has done Spidey before, so it makes sense. As for the gameplay vid, that was actually really good. The game looks to be a lot of fun. Again, Stark's VA seems to be an odd choice, though they really seem to have nailed his dialogue, so I think it'll work out in the end. Also, really glad to see villains like Sandman and Abomination, who are really smaller villains than big names like Loki and Magneto. -
Seeing several old friends greet someone who had just entered the hall, I look quizzically at the group and silently move to sit with them.

There was a time I was thinking Dyric's end would be him returning back home with his exile ended, but lately that really doesn't seem to be a path that makes much sense, considering his protection of Eubric.

Was just coming to post that. It so depressingly stupid of Disney to do that.

I want in. Is Sarge wants in on a murder mystery, then he's going to love my quest. Not quite a murder mystery, but really close. And with the Bonaparte rep... Masked, when on earth did you find time for your own quest!?

I sigh, and sign up for Quest 63. I need to be out fighting something. Maybe then I can finally get some sleep. I turn to Arthur. You should you don't want to sign up? I'd be honored to fight by your side again, brother.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
The Legonater replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
As much as I would love more Rohan soldiers, I think Gondorian soldiers is a necessity for right now. If the next LotR wave doesn't have them, I will be quite put out.- 7,499 replies

I think long and hard for an answer. Brother, I should not have to tell you that you have had many allegiances. Before Dastan, you spoke to me of how strange the idea of Chaos was to you, and how you were pleased the priests of Zoot in your land forsook their old ways. You were enthusiastic, charismatic, excited about the world around you. Dastan changed many, and I find myself grateful to not have been there, though I would have been honored to fight by your side there, Brother. You can back a much different man, and eventually fell into the ways of Chaos. But Chaos betrayed you, like you believed order had. You stand here now, a confused and broken man. But Arthur, as you left for Dastan, we spoke much of Chaos and heroism. And you said this... Brother, I believe those words continue to hold true for you, even when nothing else does. These words continue to resonate through you. You felt betrayal when Haldor and Atramor abandoned you after you sided with Wren - I say this not to fault them but to merely state a fact. I know you, brother, and I know you would likely fight and die for the sake of Alexis, Skrall or myself. And I feel you would do so for any strong friend of yours. That is what you stand for, Brother. That is where you rise.

Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!

Guys, just because it goes a day or two longer doesn't mean it's not a joke. Don't most EB April Fool's go for a couple days? -
Of course, brother! I follow.
-
Didn't everyone know that? Oops. Wow. That's really interesting. Like Flitwick, I don't often read a lot into most Quests, but I might have to go back and read that one.
-
The worst part, is I can totally see that voice working for Dyric.
-
I repeat.

I submit for a Canabricks in the near future! -
I fire an arrow at Arthur from the back, with Requiem.
-
I accept, brother!

Has it been that long? At least we're nearly done!

I normally dislike the arena, but if I don't do something I'm afraid I'll strangle someone in my sleep. Once I get some. Sure, I'll meet you there.
-
I sigh, irritated with myself. I haven't been able to catch any sleep since the battle with Wren, and have become restless, disorganized. I needed to find something to do.
-
OOC: For Skyrimguy's reference, this is basically what Dyric was saying. Dyric's hand grasps an arrow, infuriated at the old man's insolence. Brother, if anything goes down, I'm right beside you.
-
OOC: I rarely make solely OOC posts. but just for the record, that was neither sarcasm nor a demand for respect.
-
You know, usually I think Dyric is a fairly calm guy. But Sarge is just begging for Dyric to hate him. No offense to Skyrimguy, of course
-
Is that a joke? Because it isn't funny. People a lot more honorable than anyone in this room have died because of thoughts like those.
