  1. While I'd love some Scots, I don't think that just because it shows up in a game means we're getting one. I wonder how it would be done. Printed legs or a cloth piece...? Steve
  2. For future reviews, clearer larger photos of the figures would be nice. Beyond that, nice review. Steve
  3. I wonder if its anyone we know... Steve
  4. While I think the grass and plants and trees and rocks and fences all look good, I really can't get a good sense of what you've done with the green plates. While that's not really a problem in the MOC generally, you did mention it in the post and I thought you may have wanted some comment on it. Steve
  5. I can't believe how it stays balanced... Steve
  6. I'm loving the extensive use of double sided heads. Great job Lego. Definitely want to be picking up this set. Steve
  7. Yuck, I really don't like that native hair. The long hair piece would have been so much better. Steve
  8. How about a set of environmentalist wackos torching a SUV dealership? Steve
  9. Visit the land of potatoes with JT: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve
  10. Statue of Liberty. And maybe the big Legoman sculpture. Steve
  11. I wish the fez sat a little lower on the head. They look bald. Steve
  12. Too much red! I think larger windows would make it look better. I also don't like the red arches slapped into the white walls... I like the details, like the fountain and stop signal... Steve
  13. I don't like the red roof and red walls. I'm having a red overload. And, while I think it looks great, I'm not sure it quite has the classic-town vibe, but its very very close. Steve
  14. It was in the contest that Hinckley was running. Though the interior hasn't been changed at all. Just some closer-up pictures so you can see it better. Steve

    Treehouse

I've come across several treehouse creations lately, but none from a modern day setting. So I decided to rectify that. Shall we check it out? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse01.jpg Let's go around back and make sure there aren't any slimey girls lurking around: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse03.jpg "Hey! Can we come up?" http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse04.jpg "Only if you know the password and aren't a smelly girl." http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse07.jpg "Is the password Lego?" "Yes! Come on up!" http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse05.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/To...treehouse06.jpg Now lets go explore the sewers! Steve
  16. Here's a creation I did a litle while back for Hinckley's survivor contest, this time with more photos (though these photos aren't great, as the house is quite dark and the yard is quite snowy), but let's take the tour anyway, the Baron is waiting: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau19.jpg Let's explore the exterior first: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau01.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau05.jpg Be sure to toss a few coins in the fountain for luck: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau20.jpg Lets look at my flowerbeds, before we go in: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau22.jpg Can I offer you a drink, before we go in? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau21.jpg Let's start in the attic, where I store all the treasures I'm not displaying: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau06.jpg On the second floor is my collection of rare books are stored next to an Egyptian sarcophagus: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau07.jpg Along with my desk, with mysterious scroll: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau08.jpg Here is my dresser, with a spare pith helmet: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau09.jpg Is it nap time already? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau11.jpg Alexis Sinister does her hair at the vanity: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau12.jpg Let's give her some privacy and go down stairs: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau10.jpg And into the dining room, looks like fish is on the menu: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau13.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau17.jpg Before we eat, we'd better check out the kitchen: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau15.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau16.jpg The main entry way, showcasing an ancestral suit of armor and precious ruby: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau14.jpg And here Sam Sinister examines an ancient Egyptian artifact: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...n/chateau18.jpg The whole house: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=380349 Thanks for visiting... 17. I'm not impressed. The castle one was much better. All those figures are currently available in regular sets. At least in the Castle one we got some new/contemporaneously-unreleased figures (jester, maiden, witch). No it didn't. The turkey came in the MMV. The jester was the big draw for the castle advent calendar... Steve
  18. The only one I could ever see myself living in is, maybe, this one: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/?q=7905_1&v=z It may be a little cramped, but its the only one that I know, at least system scale, of that has a toilet... And even then, its only a port-a-potty, so its going to get full soon... Steve
  19. Nice work. The only thing I'd change is to make the roof slanted/sloped a bit. I don't know if the palm fronds and the parrot really fit into a medieval setting, but it doesn't bother me much at all. The ladder technique is nice. I was thinking about doing one that way myself. How sturdy is the trunk for support? It does look like it could hold up to a lot of play, modding, or transport... Steve
  20. Actually, I'm not sure tan and blue wouldn't work. I just don't like them mixed in the same level. A tan based first floor with a blue based the second floor may look quite nice. Steve
  21. I don't like the mixture of tan and blue on the bottom floor. I think you should have made the bottom all tan and the top all blue and black. I also might space the front windows apart a bit. The walls off to the sides are a bit too bare for me. Other than that, I think it looks quite nice. Steve
  22. Yuck, I don't like rock band... Steve
  23. Sheep and pigs. Also the bear in brown or black. Bring back the pony. Deer. Tigers. Steve
  24. Nice. I like bright colors like that. The only real drawback is if you put too many colors together, it looks like a bad-toad-licking-trip... Steve

    Glass Truck

Nice work. The only thing I don't like is the rubberbands holding on the panes. I know they come in sets and are, therefore official parts, but they just don't seem very Lego-y to me. Steve
