Flowers in the desert occupy the majority of Johnny's latest update: http://johnny-thunder.blogspot.com/ Steve

Ah, I see where I got confused. When you said: I read it as you were going to be building in your very own Chicago, for Malaysia, Dubai, Carlsbad and the Discovery Center. Rather than the Discovery Center was in Chicago. Steve

When I was younger, my sister had a rabbit that liked to crap all over my Lego building table. I found rabbit turds in my Lego buckets for many many years after that... Steve

I thought you got to work from Chicago and didn't have to move. Maybe I misread the post... Steve

Very cool. Now all you need is to get Mark Hammill to hold a Luke figure... Steve

Nice. I really like that color. And it goes well with the yellow windows. It is a bit small (or perhaps short)... even for the CC standard, but just a little bit. Steve

I'm less impressed now that I was before. The games look elementary and the part selection is poor. The microfigures don't seem to be of much use to me. Seems more like combining pizza and ice-cream. Both good separately, but not so much when mixed. Steve

They had clock printed tiles (both the rectangular digital ones and the round analog ones) at the Sacramento store. And some trans-green 1x1 tiles. Never saw those 1x1 tiles at a store before. Steve

Thought I could show off my presidents again: George Washington Abe Lincoln Steve

The grey flag holding the balls is also a rare part, isn't it? Steve

Hinckley a model builder? I'm out of internet contact for a little while and everyone gets delusions of grandeur... Congratulations man. Steve

Congratulations. These are the ones on our cake. This was a minifig scale one that the wife didn't like as well. There are a lot of other ones on brickshelf too, if you're still looking for ideas. In fact, Lego has made two offical designs: Bride & Groom. I wish I'd thought to do the corsage... Steve

The latest installment in my troll town makes my trolls mobile: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or.../trollcart1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or.../trollcart2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Or.../trollcart3.jpg I wanted to hook it up to a cow, but all I have are brown cows and there is already enough brown in the MOC. The troll, I mean whole, gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=347362 Steve

I have just one green monster. Steve

Actually, I think they're just about right. They come down to about mid-thigh, if I placed them that way. I think its that the pom-poms just make them look longer. Steve

That could make a nice flipper for a miniland scuba diver. Steve

Give me an 'L'! Give me an 'E'! Give me a 'G'! Give me an 'O'! What's that spell? LEGO!!!!!! Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!! Steve

Thought the trolls needed somewhere nicer to live than that fort. And the Akator Temple baseplate seemed perfect for the project. So I built them a little village to live in: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57620045411163/ But they don't want to leave their town defenseless, so they've built a watchtower: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57620045988805/ Here's a little stand alone hut. I think I've posted it before, but its what got me started with the larger village: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57620131895612/ Hopefully they'll all be part of a large castle layout someday. If it wasn't a keychain and had gold hands, it'd be quite cool. As it is... meh... (we really need a blasé smiley) Steve

I'd never let a slug do that to my figures, since I tend to hold parts in my mouth. I don't want to taste slug slime on them... Steve

After seeing the Oklahoma Lego store giveaway, I decided I wanted one. So, since I'm not going to be anywhere near Oklahoma, I decided to make my own. So here's my version: Steve

I'm not a big fan of change. Though I do think the old history forum was getting too big. But I don't like Johnny Thunder being lumped in with those other goofy themes... As to our clue, 'creative pursuits' Maybe its a Creator forum? Or is there something with the initials CP? Steve

You should have saved this for the next classic-castle contest. I love the ship. The slanted bow is well done and the sail is great. The brick work on the building is excellent and the cart is quite nice. Everything is just too good to comment on it all. My only complaint is there is too much dark grey. Steve

I generally prefer the non-licensed sets. For the most part the building techniques in them are more sophisticated (Star Wars may be an exception, but Batman, Spiderman, Indy and Harry Potter are good examples). The licensed sets also tend to cost more but provide fewer bricks. The licensed themes do give us nice new parts, which is a plus. Steve

Very nice work. Greedo's torso works very well there. Where did that rolled up rug with the frayed edges come from? Steve
