I have a real hard time with roofing my MOCs. Its the hardest part of the build for me. And I'm also rather bored with the same old slope-bricks or plates for roofs. I know there are a lot of ways people have imagined new designs, including flippers, teeth plates, hoses and 1x1 round bricks. I've done a roof with flag pieces. What I'm looking for are innovative roof designs. I'd also like to see some good pictures of the 1x1 round brick design, since I think I'd like to use that in my next MOC. Steve

Well they already made Bane... So you could use him. If you don't have him, use the Indy mechanic torso and a black head (maybe a Jawa or there is this racer face that might work, if you go yellow). Or I guess you could use patrick from spongebob in a real pinch... As for the mad hatter, I guess you could just give him the top hat... The goblin torsos from Harry Potter might work there. Or maybe the green Lockhart body. Steve

Botany Bay? Oh no! We've got to get out of here! Now!

Yes. There are pictures of most everything, including close up of the spire designs and interior of all the rooms, in the flickr gallery. Steve

Actually this was another (and the last) MOC that I did pre-baby and saved to post for Halloween. Steve

Sounds like a great set. I'm definitely going to skip the Endor Battle and Venator to save my money for another modular building. So far I've really liked everyone of them. I even like the fire station. Steve

That was someone else's idea. Though I don't remember who's. And I will take credit for being the first person to clearly photograph the idea for copying by the rest of the community... That's funny. Even though I knew it was a real place, it never occurred to me that some members might have actually been there... I guess the name Castle Frankenstein is just so iconic, that I subconsciously don't think about it being a real visitable place. Steve

Thought I needed to do up a Halloween MOC, so here is Castle Frankenstein: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57622671051798/ Its loosely based on the real Castle Frankenstein, seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Frankenstein Steve

I have several, but its never enough, since I can never find one when I need it... Steve

Its the museum of horrible pieces. Steve

I've got them all. Aside from the Kings Mountain Fortress princess, you can gin up a few more princesses with the non-printed slopes. Then there is the princess keychain with the cloth dress... Steve

It looks like it would be more at home in town than on a farm. I also think the facade is a bit too tall. Other than that, the house looks really nice. I also like the windmill (I've been reading the Grapes of Wrath and that mill looks like it would fit in perfectly). I'm not sure I like the gaps under the plate roofs, but that can be easily fixed with some slopes. Steve

Guess I should have added that little detail: Rebekah Catherine Steve

My wife and I finished a rather significant MOC on Tuesday: Mrs. Athos, Jr. That means we had a girl, in case you were confused. And, of course, I made a little vignette to commemorate the approximately 18 hours of labor: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57622469329574/ Steve

My wife thought I should make Smurfette: Steve

I'm not sure this qualfies as miniland scale, since its very nearly life sized (three apples tall, as I recall): http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/4002388118/ Steve

I'm going to wait for a review and also to see what the price is before I decide. Steve

Cowboys would be a nice replacement for pirates. Especially now that we have cows for the boys... Steve

Well I would hope you don't need fire escapes in the fire station... Steve

Dark blue roof! Nice. That set is a must buy. Steve
