  1. Not similar at all. Steve
  2. Somebody stop that frakkin' music!
  3. Well for once I like the finished product's design better than the prelim design. Steve
  4. Which is why I asked, rather than deleting it straight off. Actually, my grammar is proper, its my spelling that needs work. And I think you're being a bit nitpicky. Steve
  5. I got this email the other day. It seemed an odd subject for spam, since its not for porn or viagra. But the grammer is a bit off, so I thought I'd ask. Can anyone shed some light on it? Steve
  6. Camel all the way. Followed by the new head wrap thing. Then the rest of the hair/hats. Then the ostrich. The unwrapped whip will be nice for Indy. I don't like the dagger much. And the claw things don't do much for me either. The spikey shoulder things might be interesting, but I haven't played with them much. Steve
  7. My, that is a lot of dark tan... That arch looks like it belongs in a Star Wars display of Naboo. The temple looks a little too spindly on those thin columns, but I love the tan and sand green combination. Steve
  8. I still don't like the new Boba helmet. I do like the alligator guy though he seems a bit too green. I'm not sure I like Han's new shirt either. I liked the old one better. Han's arms look like there were pulled off and put in the carbonite upside down... I'd really like that bit of cloth from Boba Fett though. It would look good as a tattered robe on a skeleton. Steve
  9. I think sand orange is as good as any. I don't know why they just didn't go with the burnt orange though. I don't need another color to deal with. Steve
  10. Nice review. I'm excited to get this set. Does the camel come with a 1x2 brick, so you don't have to use the saddle? Steve
  11. Meh. I'll stick with the original design... Steve
  12. I'm horribly disappointed that the actress has that printing on her back... That's the only figure I don't have and would have liked an unmodified one. I may not snag this set after all... Steve
  13. I imagine farm is probably done. It seems to have been handled like a one-note short-lived theme: numerous sets at the beginning and then tapering off with just a few second year themes. If it were to continue, I would like to see sheep, a farm house, a proper barn, and some kind of fields for the tractor to work in. I've also always thought an orchard would be a nice set/MOC... I'm also surprised they didn't do a crop-duster, give Lego's penchant for biplanes, though maybe its not eco-friendly enough for Lego? Steve
  14. I guess with those handle pieces on the pom-poms they must be using a different piece for the clown hair, unlike we'd previously thought. Steve
  15. Great work on the dwarf sculpture. The way you did the beard really captures it. Steve
  16. That's funny. Because I'm sick of red roofs. I don't need any more red slope bricks. I'd have much preferred another color. Steve
  17. This one looks great. I like the face print too. Just slap a different hair piece on him and you've got another caveman character. Steve
  18. I prefer the messcherschmitt. Steve
  19. I think it'd be better if you put a little more depth to the cave. Maybe stick a dragon or some other monster in there, just out the soldier's view. Steve
  20. Only one choice here: MMV. Steve
  21. I'm not sure cliche is the right word. That's the draw of castle to me. All the castle cliches (knights in armor, maidens in distress). I think a better term is 'old hat.' And I don't think its that either. The new factions and elements keep it from being the same thing over and over. And when they go a different direction in castle (KK2), everyone gets up in arms. So we must all like cliche. Though I would like to see some other eras explored too. Steve
  22. That's funny. I was just thinking about doing a miniland version of the stooges... Steve
  23. Usually no. Some years at Christmas they carry a set or two. But the discount isn't usually that great. Steve
  24. The shed is waaaayyy too black. It almost looks like something out of 'black fantasy.' Other than that, great work. Steve
  25. Picture is a link to the flickr gallery. Or all the piractical galleries, of brickshelf, if you prefer. Steve
