  1. Well, I'm very positive about this box. Finally something I can buy that will be used for exactly what it was ment to be. I LOVE the fact that there is no motor included, I am a 12v guy. You say you can easely buy these parts of bricklink? The cheapest red train door on ebay is $8. Four of these would already set you back $32. Still think this box is a bad deal? Last but not least, I'll think I'll learn a geat deal of techniques for these ten train builders. I'll be getting this, I only hope it won't be
  2. I think it is more or less based on this one: So i think they have done a very good job not as good as the prototype, but alas we can only dream :'-) I absolutely love those old style electric engines. You can understand that I need last years freight train :)
  3. How I craved this set as a kid! When I finally got it for my birthday I was so happy. (And It included a 12v motor!)
  4. I keep forgetting that you can actually buy it from a shop. :) In belgium you can only buy it from lego.com. So I always have to pay the shipping. I bought it from http://www.germanbrick.de/.His prices are a little lower on ebay. and shipping to Belgium is only 6.99 for up to fifty sets! In anycase I've had a spare 12v motor around since october. But didn't have any money until now.
  5. Okay I just bought a BSNF for 36,99 + the red caboose . I could not stand it anymore :'-( . I remember that this guy was selling the BSNF for only 29.99 on ebay. Personally I don't understand why people offer the BSNF for $60 on Bricklink, I mean you can still buy them from lego at the original price! I toss this set on ebay.
  6. But you can buy the BSNF on ebay for 30 and from lego for 40
  7. Nope, that is not true. in my 1997 catalog the line is divided up in two parts Town (from 5-12) and town junior (4-10). Later on regular town just kinda disappeared. Town jr is a term introduced by lego themselves not the community. In the catalog it even states how great it is that you have to built less now!! Typical features of town junior are cars with no roof.
  8. Indeed ! I hope that cafe corner is a dissapointment >:-)
  9. Nobody interested? *sing*
  10. Nice lovely harry potter set. I see a lot of new hair pieces! I will be needing to buy a lot of classic smileys and yellow hands.
  11. Those are nice prices! I'll probably get the three smallest sets and the ogel fort it's a very good parts pack!
  12. Wow, PaulC your MOC are always so smooth. Very well done. I would simply make the hospital one stud bigger on each side so that it looks bigger or simply make a smaller helicopter :) casewindu nice stuff!
  13. Hi all, I got this "new in box" set available for trade. The box has some shelf wear and a dent on the bottom (you can see this on the picture.) Also included is a 1993 and 1995 catalog in used condition. I will only trade this for set 10133 (the BNSF) in new or near new condition (don't care about how the box looks). If nobody steps up by friday this set will go on ebay. I know the BSNF has been on sale in LEGO stores and legoland. So I think you can make a pretty good deal out of this. I really don't want to get rid of this set, but I reaaaally want a burlington. So PM me or email me @ atarianallstarNOSPAM@yahoo.com Picture: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/highland...e/surfshack.jpg
  14. You can still get them on shop@home, alex.
  15. Good price! Say Hobbes how much did you pay for those BNSF @ TRU. I plan on buying one this month and want to compare prices.
  16. set: 10156 Pieces: 104 year of release: 2004 (original set 1997) price:
  17. Nice video but man that host needs to put a spark in his voice!
  18. I believe so, remakes or shop@home exclusives. However you can sometimes find them in shops aswell.
  19. I hated that retarded face. in fact i dislike most face which some some sort of emotion because it always looks kinda silly.
  20. It seems some german sellers have stumbled on a pile of stock , a lot of them are selling it cheaply
  21. The blue legs are a wink to the classic serf by lego. Have you seen the price of the torso I mentioned ?! I actually really dislike the jedi robes for medieval minifigs. Those look absolutely nothing like something a middleager in western-europe .For arabs maybe, but not for serfs or lords.
  22. As a medieval lego lord, my shire is having trouble finding serfs that actually get some work done, the countryside is always roaming with black falcons, vikings and power rangers that never do anything, except loot for crop. So I went to ye olde bricklink and looked for the cheapest serf and this is what I came up with: What did that lovely torso cost me? Only $0.18. Much cheaper then the classic farmer! the entire fig only cost me 0.73 dollar. Aint that cheap! I naturally bought two. I which lego would make more farmers. Got any cheaper serfs for me?
  23. The only thing they should really get rid of are those horrible dragons! I would love to own both castle but the fact that I will also by paying for those dragons makes me think twice before buying them. I think the best thing for lego to do right know is release an AFOL oriented set on shop at home once a year , like the BNSF or the black smith shop.
