  1. Guys, I don't have the CC yet, byut I already want to make a compatible house for it. an somebody give me the exact dimensions? (in bricks of course) . And where are the technic pins placed?
  2. Ok so these are clones of a clone *wacko*
  3. Hey guys, what do you guys think of set 10017 (the hopper waggon) ? I'm plannin on buying this one this month but I'm not sure yet, they look so high to me
  4. I love it, but can it actually take a curve? Oh and two engines ar expensive parts :)
  5. Ok fellow trainiacs what do you think of thi guys work? I personally love it some times he goes completely overboard : check his new rc train: and his whole gallery http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=sekiyama He is Japanese and apperently has also made a magazine about l-gauge and sold it at comiket(japans largest hobby fair).
  6. In 2003 lego switched (without warning) from old gray to bley (bluish gray). The seperatly sold waggon is only available in bley because it was made later.
  7. Did you get the silver bricks replaced or the big gray ones? I quite like the silver ones, makes the train look a bit metallic and not just a castle on wheels. Upon further inspection The silver ones are indeed a bit soft. I also made a little movie (2MB) of my train passing. ou might like it :) Movie
  8. For just some regular chitter chatter about lego trains, that are not worthy of their own topic. I'll start off :). Due to a sale at a Belgian online lego store I got the Super Chief and on set of wagons (10025). Last night I built the baggage wagon first, but today I built the postage car (It's much nicer, no bricks left only four doors.) Here you can see it in full glory: It looks a bit odd on the old 12v track since it is the same color! Also, I don't know if this is a known problem but some of the bricks don't fit wll together. I think it are the gray 2X2X1. The interior is also prety nice but sadly no figs are included. Overal a nice set with some lovely building techniques. I love the fact that the waggons are much longer then most lego waggons and so there is little space betwen the waggons.
  9. I think Alex is right it is simply because town never really left...
  10. Wow those are ome nice pics. Lovely classic legoland style, but do please get rid of the fleshies :-X Some newer pictures of my stuff: A small town at dawn:
  11. Hi paul, first off all, I'd like to welcome you on the Lego Train scene! It's a wonderfull hobby with numerous cool people. I only restarted the hobby this summer after a hiatus of 12 years (I'm 24 now). I can hartly recommend the BSNF it is an amazing set! (I can't comment on the santa f
  12. Well, I thought about making a train (a small steamer) first and then see where I go from there. These figs are actually very big compared to regular minifigs! I was thinking about drawing inspriration from playmobil trains but they would have to be even bigger! anyways here is a oic (not mine) with all sorts of TF: In any cas this project has got me real excited!
  13. Sorry for reviving an old thread :) I just bought for of these figs at a recycle shop for 1 euro (there was also a mecanno fig included) I plan to make a ten wide scale train for these, I was inspired by this guy: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2153622 The only stupid thing is that there are no female figs, do the female 4+ heads fit on maxi figs? ANybody got any cool moc for these figs?
  14. When I got this set at an age of nine I really had problems to getting it to work properly. The only reason I still use 12v volt is because of nostalgia and because I already have so much of it. It would be to expensive to change all that. But one can not deny that 9v trains actually run much smoother then 12v. Sure the system was way cooler but it was also waay to expensive for kids back then. I never got any other gift except from 12v electronics, simply because it was so expensive
  15. I really can't understand why people complain so much about clone brands? Nobody complains when they buy a cd hat is not made by phillips, or a telephone that is not made by Bell.... Even with toys: train brands like Fleischmann, rocco , minitrix ,etc can all be used together. As long as the bricks are not a step down from lego's own I see no problem.
  16. Very nice, but perhaps a bit too red?
  17. Nice info! Scan please :-$
  18. I don't think this is true, on american boxes it is always mentioned where the parts are made. Mostly it is denmark + chechz republic/china/mexico
  19. I noticed the slope problem with my building bonabza, half had textures the other half didn't :(
  20. What are miniland figurines?
  21. Or trade it for anything else lego!
  22. I have: 14 fleshies hands 1X this but then in fleshie ofcourse. 2x 3x I want to trade for the exact (or more!) amount of yellow faces and hands (preferrably classic smiles) All these items are new and never played with.
  23. It works great even on my old mac. Hurray! Mac ON
  24. Perhaps you should simply send all of your windows back to lego.
