  1. No really, wow tks for the pointer Einstein :-| Do you know the guy ? I can tell you I bought the UCS Tie X-1 !! Would you believe me ? I would trust the info only comming from different persons and not from someone just saying I bought it. *yoda* There is no point for adults in the same club about toys lying to eachother, we are not in a schoolyard here. BTW my previous post shows the box at legoland billund. Again :-| . but lets be friends :-$
  2. here is the box http://www.timmyslegoruil.nl/
  3. Gran teft auto, lego should make some hookers and baseballbats those would be popular. I'm a boyscout leader with 9-12 year old and all they talk about is San Andreas.
  4. Well, he bought it so it's out :-|
  5. A guy at the belug forums said he bought the train in billund. It was a 110 euros and he'll post pictures when he has built it
  6. Nice , but what I don't really like is that your wagons end so abruptly. Passengers can't walk from on to another
  7. Oh sorry, didn't see that. Perhaps we could keep this thread as a non-competition thread, I have a bit more track and crosses and stuff but beause of the size of the room I decided to make a simple layout. I think it has worked out well. I wanted to make the middle part a bit bigger but I don't have enough streetplates.
  8. Hey I love the use of the bluecoats. They make me think of the lancers in zorro, or the Soldiers at the end of temple of doom. Maybe you should have given them blue pants to make them look more modern , or perhaps grey...
  9. How odd that a town/train forum doesn't have it's lay out topic. Isn't that what itt's all about? Please show us your pictures off your lay-out but also telllus something about it. This is my second layout since childhood (the first one was fours years ago, combining all lego from three different people but sadly all picture seem to be lost :( ). This layout took me five evenings to set-up over the course of four weeks. It's all my childhood lego (except my pirate stuff and small castle stuff). And my sisters gas station and villa. Plus five adventure sets I bought in recent weeks (total cost not even ten euros !) Enjoy! http://flickr.com/photos/41784572@N00/
  10. I don't know about that, the lego stands in belgian stores seem a lot smaller then a few years ago.
  11. Did anybody play as a kid with lego sets the way It was ment to be? My horse range was always used as a fortification for G.I.Joe or turned into a butt-ugly space ship. About the colors . These colors are very realistic, watch one of the Cousteau films and you'll see what I'm talking about. The problem with modern CITY lego is that perhaps the colors are too perfect like the construction sites and stuff. It's all a bit too realistic dare I say boring ?
  12. Well, I'm a train fan and I like it.For me this will be running on 12v track The only problem I see is that it isn't designed to be turned into a motor train so it will need some modifications.
  13. xwing yoda you are so negative today :) this trainset looks amazing it's the best looking steemloc since the 12volt days and if you look at the plans you'll see you can take of the christmass decorations quite easly. The trees are always handy and so is a skateboard and moto. The only thing i can't get it is the "evil" looking minifig in the passengercoach. if this train is not to expensive I will buy it!!!
  14. special christmass train. Just seen this on lugnet but nobody knows a thing about it. http://www.br-eng.info/words/?page_id=29&ins_qry=10173 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/spacekad...ets/10173-1.jpg
  15. I have the same problem the light works fine (green and red) but the switch for stopping the train doesnt can you please tell me where to buy this relay and how to set it up?
  16. A so there is love for these sets. These seem to be forgotten in the dents of time. ` About fitting in to town, the same can be said for paradisa: the smaller sets blend in with town lego the big sets are probably to much pink. I'm still looking for the icecream stand :)
  17. I never got one of these sets since I was in my dark ages then. I do have the 1997 catalog at home but clearly don't remember all those sets. I just love the pastel look on all of them. It reminds me a lot of that fantastic movie "the life aquatic with steve zissou" and naturally those old cousteau movies. I wonder why this series weren't a big hit, the boats all look lovely. Perhaps LEGO had a boat/diver overkill with the floatable boats, aquazone and divers. How long did the series last? one year? Anyway tell me your experiences and tales of these sets list of all sets http://peeron.com/scans/?s=0&tid=233 all the sets built (not by me of course) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=128373
  18. Where? You mentioned "Main street" which is available on BL but not from that many sellers. And on ebay it's scarcely to be found... there are four an ebay right now all brand new and 20 or 30 on BL you can't call that rare now can you?
  19. But that's just my point. There are kazillions of these legends available but still everybodyis asking a high prices for them. This is not a case of low supply high demand
  20. Take mainstreet for example, it was only released three years ago for only 65$ and now sells on brickshelf for around 100 dollars. Why are all these re-releases so expensive? It seems like the resellers are hogging them on purpose. Where they ever available in Europe, or was this in americ only deal?
  21. The remote box of my stopsignal has stopped working. Does anybody have a clue how to open it up without breaking it so I can take a peek inside? Thaks in advance
  22. Then you'll enjoy the wonders of the Ninja theme ;-) Wow those are amazing sets ! where they ever on sale in Belgium?? On one hand I only ever see crummy stars wars and harry potter lego (decent sets but I don't like the themes). And on the other hand Those big ugly knights and bionicle.
  23. Which sets are those samurai helmets from? I've been out of the running for a few year (like 10 ;) )
  24. Hi, I'm new here I'll introduce myself later ;) In belgium this line is called DINO 2010 and is still in all the shops.Today I saw a kid beggin his mom for the chopper. I just got back in to lego and my first sets in over ten years are 7413 Orient Exp : Passage of Jun-Chi for 2 euro and Yeti's hide-out for 2.98 I love this adventure sets I think they will fit nicely around my traintrack. Which I'll set up this summer
