GHOST TOWN emerges from the darkness !!!
highlandcattle replied to Brick Miner's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I too adore this set. And I love the cactus. Not to keen on glow in the dark parts but they fit this set perfectly -
I've only spent a little more the 60 euros! (excluding some 12v train motors) The best deal probably was an incomplete 6066 (Camouflaged Outpost) for a

Couldn't resist building today! My new city. Using all the lego I've bought since this summer! Most of it is second hand, or extremly cheap (like the passage of jun-chi for two euros and the Yeti's grotto) The most expensive must have been the blue roof parts which was

I went to crete for my vacation and while there where many toystores. Playmobil seems to be much bigger overther then lego! Lot's of fake brands though

You guys are forgetting that this looks like real legoland scale and not the nasty city scale!!

That firestation looks pretty sweet

Shifty and other imitations

can you give me a link to their website. I don't mind stuff made by other companies as long as the quality is the same and don't have any action figures like mega blocks has -
I agree with alex on the glass thing I still dislike the station because of the huge sign on top!

Anybody got any picks of these fake brands ? -
I really don't know why... No, it' a joke! I have the same feeling with this period, the city dark age of TLC... There are quite a lot of pretty sets to like the bank building or the shell promotional sets (whic i just bought secondhand for 15 euros). But for some bizarre reason all the cars had monstertruckwheels and no roofs. I call it the age of the convertible!

Yuck, I used to be a smoker and that just sounds foul.

Quick am I *yoda*

I agree with Alex, it's interesting to see an (almost) complete new layout. It doesn't look all too bad. It is a good start for more, indeed. But a LEGO town/city does need some older sets, too, you just can't do without ;-) I like everything except for the construction tools. It all looks way out of proportion! Especially on this picture http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2034547 That truck is twice the size of a train! I only have the little shovel unit (I bought it today) and may get the streetsweeper sometime. everything else looks just way to big to fit in my city

No roof? You don't mean that one, do you? Haha no I mean this one: http://brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=6564-1

Nope, there were a garbage truck and cement mixer in the past. Looooong time ago. sne mentioned them here. There has been another garbage truck aswell from the <insert that tiresome argument> days It look pretty cool except for the big weels and no roof

Just an Idea: In europe the cemeteries usually lie around the church, the church should always be the biggest building in town

So, modern military lego is out of the picture...
highlandcattle replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice ! I am amazed they didn't jump on the occasion with pirateof the carribeans. Pirates had been the most successfull line for TLC. How sad ! MegaBloks has the licence for Pirates of the Carribian ! -
I've also voted for the century skyway, if only for the very cool name. Biggest and coolest looking set!

Super Off topic: Alex I've been looking at your town 2006 pix and I'm super jealous!! Especially the old town center looks super amazing! Even more off topic: Does somebody have any examples of how to make a believable house with classic castle pieces??? On topic: People who whine about lego not doing enough should be quite right know, both the new cargo train and this set are contenders for my birthdaygifts next year :D

Thanks that's good info!

That's just a commercial for the lego factory
-
Sorry for offtopic. What is dacta actually. And why do all their sets contain massive amounts of minifigs?
-
A train parts pack sounds awesome! I hope it will include many windows and stuff.Very expensive though
-
There is a sale forum for this. And did you have to post it in every forum Mr Mayor can this be removed?
-
I chose wolf people. I never had any of their sets but they always seems so misterious to me wich is very cool People: Black falcons, crusaders and forrestmen are all legoland!! I don't know why brickset has the classification like this. but that's why oo7 didn't include them (i think :) )
