  1. That was surprisingly stressful. It looks like the big gear is 1x4 plates built into a really long straight line then gently bent, is that right?
  2. OMG I want this set! $100 is a bit much for me right now though, hope it goes on sale somewhere!! I love the dark fantasy look that this has, it adds another dimension when a lot of the other elves sets are starting to look pretty similar. The purple, pink, and black together look particularly pleasing in particular. The hood looks excellent on Arwen, too, I'd love to see the piece integrated into some system sets (or at least mocs)
  3. If it was an official set it would be UCS Hellicarrier, maybe tower bridge but probably the Hellicarrier. If moc's are included then easily my favorite is my ever evolving Hogwarts castle (that I have yet to post of eurobricks, whoops)
  4. Honestly, Ekimu is the only set from this wave I'm even considering getting. The beasts all look awful and while Ekimu isn't perfect (his design could use some modding in the arms and thighs) his color scheme is gorgeous! And the mask looks great in trans light blue. The whole thing has a sort of angelic look that reminds me of Artakha from G1.
  5. In general I'd like more Clone Wars style figures because their faces (Obi Wan) look so much better than the other non helmeted figures like Luke and Poe (Finn actually looks pretty good). Seeing more Jedi is exactly what we need.
  6. It will probabloy never happen but I'd love to see a Kit Fisto figure. Not only is he one of my favorite Jedi but I think there'd be some potential for a cool head build/mold using this part for his tentacle hair.
  7. I rather wish they'd have given us the Ertha Kitt Catwoman rather than Julie Newmar, but she was the first so it's expected.
  8. I love it! Musicals in lego! Halloween in lego! My two favorite things! And wonderful build details, the CMF head looks great on your Audrey II, I'm glad there's some nice looking application for it.
  9. I don't know what notaromanic is talking about. This is a great piece and works very well in both build and message. The artistry and use of color to depict such a violent and poignant scene.
  10. Such a Harry Potter fan and this is a great Hogwarts! I love how you did the big tower. If you ever plan to flesh out the inside more (Great hall, classrooms, dungeons) I'd love to see it.
  11. Brotherhood Workshop did something similar, the way they did it was green screen with the bike, quinjet, and background all as separate shots then edited them together. Here are links to some making of vids.
  12. the voodoo head things are pretty cool, i wish we god some more power functions sets in gen1. and i liked the diverse play features
  13. They seem a bot more like Guardians than pirates to me if you catch my drift I love the builds, especially Gro- er, Gort and Draxtructor!
  14. Maybe a weird opinion but I really liked mask of light era Macku. She's my favorite matoran and the set has consistently been displayed somewhere since I got it. (I also shipped Macku/Hewkii so hard)
  15. I love all the plankton at the bottom of the sea! i wish there were some way to show the surface of the water. All the dinosaurs are great, and super cute!
  16. I'd actually really love sets based on The Black Cauldron and Something Wicked this Way Comes......
  17. OMG that's amazing! I probably would have strapped a plushie shark to my arm too but you look fantastic!
  18. Love the look with the hair. Wish there were some purist pieces that would capture the magic that well. I wonder why they didn't use that in the official set, it looks far better than any other licensed figure that's used the hairpiece, let alone the official Scarlet Witch.
  19. Woo! This thing is fantastic! I love the wooden log flumeish look and the whole thing is just beautiful.
  20. Ooo, these are fantastic! I really like Nivawk's head build and the way the eyes look. The whole thing's pretty brilliant.
  21. Okay, I love the white snake as smoke from the smokestack, it looks cartoony and great. The rest of the train is pretty neat too, the colour scheme is lovely.
  22. This is magnificent! I love the Frankenstein's monster vibe. And the sideways metru head (is that what is is?) is really great for the head and teeth. I love to see these sort of updated versions of old characters, especially when they're this good.
  23. I for one think it's hilarious that they just smacked Star Lord's head onto the Dinosaur Star Lord body. Part of me thinks they got the theme just so they could do that. I agree I'd have liked to see some more herbivores. And to those saying that only the violent dinosaurs are popular, have you ever seen a kid who likes dinosaurs? The triceratops is easily among the most popular, certainly more so than dilophosaurus (not that I'm upset to be getting one of those). Stegosaurs too. I would have loved a big set that hat a cool looking brick built brachiosaurus. On the better side of things, I'm really pretty excited about getting a tyrannosaurs in a $50 set, considering the ones we have now tend to run for that much on their own on ebay and bricklink.
  24. I especially like the little purple guy, looks like onepu. Onua looks really great, I love the top heavy bulk he has, but he really needs oversized, brick built hands. That's the big problem with the new official set, the regular hands look puny on him, especially considering the original's badass claws. I'd love to see your versions of other characters from the bionicle story and of the official sets.
  25. I was just thinking the same thing about hulk! I don't know if I'll end up getting this just because of the price point but I have to say I really love it! I would probably be a bit more upset about Maria Hill's head if I weren't dead sure that it was a reference to Cobie Smulders playing Wonder Woman in the Lego Movie. Everyone seems to have such bad things to say but I really lover this thing.
