  1. That is a very nice Winter Village project. I like the progress pictures and the elevated North Pole with ski slope coming down the side and the integrated tunnel turned out great. Thank you for liking my Winter Village Tram. I designed it at the end of last year mainly for two reasons: 1) I always wanted a tram in my Winter Village and 2) to have something new to add to my Winter Village since the Toy Shop was a rerelease. I agree, the tram does provide a nice alternative for those that don't have the space for a full trainlayout. I look forward to your next Winter Village setup with the tram incorporation. I am always curious how people incorporate it. Cheers and Happy New Year!
  2. I have uploaded 14 more photos with my new iPhone 6S phone, so should be better quality photos over the 4S phone quality, in case that helps. It was also less crowded in there. Here are couple more photos of the purple building you were asking for a while back. Miro
  3. Very fine job Daniel. In case you haven't noticed, you have also been mentioned on CNET news, further down this article about Lego BB-8. I think yours looks better, rounder. http://www.cnet.com/...-square-bricks/ Miro
  4. Thanks for sharing. This looks like a fun project and something I have been planning to do, but just haven't got around to it. I have built my UCS R2-D2, but I have couple more that I plan on building and converting with motorization. I found this motorized version by Bart Lego on MOCPages http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/397454, It does a great job hiding the motors and mainting the UCS look. but it lacks Mindstorms component. I also have a EV3 set and I have some learning to do to see if I can integrate the EV3 brick with sensors and learn to program it. My ultimate goal is to have 2 droids, one as R2-D2 and other as R5-D4 and have them interact with each other, either by controller/Mindstorms brick. Should be an interesting MODing time. I'll update when I have something working. Wish me luck.
  5. I second many of other's sentiments. This is a wonderful piece of work. The sand blue/dark blue with grey and black looks stunning. The interior is marvelous, and I love all the little touches throughout. As Kristel mentioned, the fusion of the modern Apple store with the older architecture is nice, and it reminds me of many European cities. Clearly you are an accomplished builder and it shows.
  6. This is totally AWESOME. Love the fusion of Unikitty in a Winter Wonderland setting. Great part usages all over. Clearly the bar is being raised as the contest nears the end. Miro
  7. Totally adorable. I love the concept and well executed neat little touches. I think a larger ice skating rink would be nicer with trans clear tiles. If trans clear tiles are used, one could add nice color plates underneath it for either hockey rink lines or festive snowflake patterns and such.
  8. Very nicely done. I like the signage in the front with the half barrel and beer glasses on the front facade. I am guessing the green color is to signify a hops-y atmosphere. I'll have to check your Flickr stream for a closer photo of the interior's upstairs. The copper barrels and pipes are a nice touch on the interior of the brewery.
  9. ^What they said. Very nicely done. It's less crammed than mine. I have all those buildings and 3 more in that same foot print. I need more space to expand the village, but this year it will be very cozy. The little added details really make it stand out. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Thank you. The orange flippers have no real significance, they are purely decorative and in my MOC they serve as a valance/short curtain above the windows. The space above the windows needed some decor and I happened to come across the orange flippers.
  11. Very nice. I like the modular aspect to it. Amazing how much you managed to squeeze into the interior. Something I need to work on. Miro
  12. My first time entering the Expand the Winter Village contest. Here is my entry with a Cider Mill. Turning of the water wheel churns applies inside, where apple cider is being made. The interior consists of a front sales room, rear cider press, storage and dispensing, and upstairs office. The building is slighly taller than the Winter Village Cottage, but I think justifiable as such a building would be larger than a cottage. I have no part count, but it is not outside of scope of the larger Winter Village sets. The truck is a reuse from the 2013 Holiday set 40083. Happy Holidays to you all! 13. I really like the dark tan look with the masonry bricks. I actually did my own LDD conversion to that color in masonry bricks as I too have missed out on it. I like the interior details you have included. Eventually I will build it from parts as well, when time allows. Thanks for sharing. I'll be coming back to this thread when my time comes to build it.
  14. Love it. It has the rustic but charming look to it. Nice textures with the wood siding, stone work and the snow cover looks realistic. I probably would had added a tad of snow on the front facade as well to balance it off. I better get cracking before time runs out.
  15. Looks very nice. I really like the use of the turntable bases for added texture. I wonder if using dark green windows would at all help, or would that be too much dark green? Looks lovely either way. Miro
  16. Glad you found my photos helpful. I go to Legoland quite regularly with my 2 kids, as I live about 10 miles from it and work only about a mile from it. Thanks for posting updates in this thread. It certainly is a very fun read as I am starting to get more into modulars. I have not build any yet. They are all still sealed in their boxes until I move into a bigger house with more space. The Bluerender images sure turned out beautiful. I use a Mac and have not got it to work on my computer yet, so I will have to look into it. If there is a good thread on that you know, feel free to link me to it, as I don't want to hijack your thread. Miro
  17. Truly amazing undertaking. This is a wonderful project. I have attended the premiere of the Legoland California The Lego Movie Experience and I took bunch of photos of the actual basement set with creations that was moved. Feel free to browse through the photos on my Flickr album here: Is this the purple apartment building you guys are talking about? Let me know if you need clearer photos of any of the buildings and I can go and take additional photos. cheers, Miro
  18. Glad to inspire you try your hand at a mini Y-wing. Here is a LDD LXF file https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing of the Mini X-wing and Y-wing, as tagged by the OP in my Flickr photo https://www.flickr.c...78/15522104303/ Enjoy, Miro
  19. It is $14.99 in US. I got 4 of them at Legoland California park. They always charge MSRP, so that will be the price for the US market. I submitted the image for Brickset and am trying to get it approve on Bricklink as well. Miro
  20. Hi, I added this set to Brickset couple of days ago. It was incorrectly labeled as set 859839, but actually it's 850839. See more pictures of the set contents on my Flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/miro78/sets/72157635193668888/ www.flickr.com/photos/miro78/sets/72157635193668888/ I got 4 of them at Legoland California last Friday. I just posted more pictures of the contents and the set assembled. Miro
