What about using the lego rechargeable battery box? Yes it is expensive (£50 euros) but it is us-full to have if you plan on building any motorized technic moc's of your own. * Please note that you have to buy the plug separately.

Tracked problems

Looking at the picture the 'movable idler' is at the front, did you try turning yours around? I just did a test using 'technic links' and that did not work very well. You would be better making the front end driven and making the top middle wheel to fake the driven one. -

Your drive should be at the end of the undercarriage not the middle, especially when the drive wheel it is higher than the other two ends. -

Nice crane desert752. -
Well it may need some better wheels and 3 more diffs....would that still count as a alternative? Perhaps we could do it as a joint venture?

Jurgen what motors do you plan to use for your mod? I have had a really cool idea for a alternative model.

RC Motor Disassembly
Alasdair Ryan replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think the best way to solve this is by drilling a even diameter hole and inserting a brass rod inside the hole(it will need to be a tight fit). Or maybe you can find a copy of the gear online from a robotics's shop? -
If you had seen any of my videos of my mocs you may of seen them flashing,as I tend to use them for decoration.

Yes,then it would stay on with out flashing. You will need a pf converter cable and a 'electric plate' unless you are using the 9v system.

If you want it to flash you just have to turn it the other way around.
