  1. Unfortunately the Quasar is too large for my computer to handle, that will have to wait until I upgrade.
  2. I think it looks great! The engines are really nice, there's a lot of great part usage in there! Looking forward to seeing more!
  3. This was one of the alternative builds for the old Star Destroyer set.
  4. I'm working on converting them all to .pngs, and when I finish that I'll upload a .zip version which should hopefully work much better on Macs.
  5. If anyone's interested, I ripped all of the texture files from the characters in the LEGO TFA game, I'm sure plenty of them can be used for decals. I'm personally using them in LDD, here's an example with Black Squadron from the Poe comics: The download for all the files is here: https://www.mediafire.com/?7tsp7w7hzr6h4ua Highly recommend a also downloading something to get the DDS files to show up as thumbnails, makes going through it all much easier.
  6. Bail would be great, personally I'm hoping for General Dodonna. Especially since he's about to appear in Rebels.
  7. This is really cool! I love the detail you've added.
  8. Thanks for the feedback everyone! However, I just realized I forgot to add, the design is based off of this old image from a 1984 LEGOLAND book:
  9. The LL-984 is a top of the line exploration vessel designed for deep space missions. The first vessel of its size in the fleet, the Galactic Spearhead proved vital to exploration efforts, and aided in the discovery and colonization of many new worlds before the design was finally retired. The ships carried supplies vital for the creation of new bases, and were the main method of transporting that supplies to new planets. The LL-984 is also outfitted with a wide array of sensors, which help the crew learn as much as they can about new planetary bodies of space phenomena without having to risk investigating themselves. More pictures of the exterior: The ship also carries 8 small 1-person Space Scooters, as well as one 2-person Space Scooter should the crew need to venture outside of the ship. The ship also has a large landing pad on the top, which can be used by ships to transfer supplies or passengers. The stock Galactic Spearhead can support a crew of 29, though the ship is often modified by the captain so this number can vary. Pictures of the interior: The lead ship of this class, the Tip of the Spear, was built in preparation for the first expedition to another solar system. The mission was a huge success, and Tip of the Spear continued to serve for almost 50 years before it met its untimely demise. The fate of the ship remains a mystery, contact was lost with it while on an exploration mission to deep space. When Federation forces arrived at the ship's last known location, it was nowhere to be found. A survey of nearby planets yielded no results. Many theories have been suggested to explain the ship's fate. Some believe it accidentally entered a wormhole and ended up on the other side of the galaxy, others believe that the crew defected and has gone rogue, and some have suggested the ship was captured by either pirates or an undiscovered alien faction. There are sightings of the ship reported every once in a while, but so far these have been dismissed as false. Regardless of what happened, Tip of the Spear has become a legend, and will not soon be forgotten. Tip of the Spear's sister ship, Pathfinder, is currently located in orbit of Mars at the Federation Museum of Early Exploration.
  10. Thanks so much everyone! Yes it is, it also appeared in TCW.
  11. True minifig scale would be 23 studs long, so the new one is much more accurate.
  12. 90% sure that's supposed to be the same 2-1B droid we've gotten before. The only other droid in the room was a tripod, so unless they made up a droid for no reason it's probably the 2-1B. Which would mean that the droid in the new images must indeed be from an Ep 8 set.
  13. I'm confused as to why everyone is trying to make the fin taller and move the astromech to the middle. The astromech is supposed to be on the side, and the fin is almost exactly the right height from what I can tell.
  14. I thought the Arquitens-class was a much-needed addition to the rest of my fleet, so I finally took the time to sit down and build it. It's to the same scale as everything else that I've built, though the dimensions of the ship depend on who you ask so it might not be exactly right. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves: Comments and criticism welcome, thanks!
  15. Clone, Aayla Secura, no idea, Battle Droid
  16. When I built it I measured it to be about 146 meters long and 35 meters wide going off its appearance in Rebels. Of course the new side pods add some width.
  17. Sorry, no updates on the Quasar Fire. unfortunately for whatever reason my computer just can't handle it. Once I have access to a better computer I will finish it, because I really want to. However, I do have some new ships! The Rebel Alliance Dornean Gunship from RotJ and Rogue One And the CR-20 Troop Carrier from the Clone Wars 2D cartoon
  18. I guess it's possible that the Imperial Hovertank is going to be a Rebels set. Could potentially be the Imperial Troop Transport under a different name, or maybe something we haven't seen yet. It would be amazing if we got one from the most recent episode, including the Ryloth rebels. But still, Rebels is offering so much in terms of potential sets, and even the stuff that isn't from the OT has great designs. I'm not sure why they aren't taking advantage of that.
  19. I would prefer sets from Rebels. For the most part, sets from the movies have been done already. A TIE Interceptor from Rebels at least offers an opportunity for something new. Plus Rebels is a great series and has a lot to offer for sets.
  20. I think 2 studs would be too narrow. And honestly that's a pretty nitpicky thing, overall the piece is a great representation and works perfectly for LEGO's purposes and needs. If you want a perfect representation, there are ways to build one yourself.
  21. I don't see why the new canopy is an issue. It's a fantastic representation of the X-wing canopy, especially the TFA X-wing. Comparing it with images of the X-wing itself, the new canopy is just about perfect, I don't see why it should go anywhere.
  22. Unfortunately though, it won't matter. There are very few instances where the final pictures actually made much difference to change people's minds, you can absolutely tell the quality of a set from the prelims. And I think people sometimes exaggerate the difference between prelims and the final model, usually they're not all that different.
  23. I didn't say that they were. The difference is that the Seventh Sister features a new model for the helmet, the only other examples of that is ME-8D9. I'm just saying that it would have made a lot more sense for them to use the Fifth Brother or Grand Inquisitor instead of making their own model and printing. It's just extra work that they don't need to do. Obviously we shouldn't put a ton of stock into characters appearing in the games, but I'm just pointing out the possibility. Remember that we haven't seen everything from the Winter wave yet, I believe it's been said that there's still at least one exclusive that we know pretty much nothing about.
  24. Not necessarily. There's still a chance they could do a Malachor set, and the Seventh Sister is included in the DLC for the LEGO TFA game (which mostly uses designs from figures that have already been officially created). She even has a unique helmet model, they didn't even do that for commander Cody, and used his Phase 1 model instead of updating him to Phase 2 (which would have been much easier than making their own Seventh Sister model and textures).
