Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
JRBricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Same here. I preordered this a couple weeks ago, mainly to get the Galileo set. Those were the only two things in my order and Lego sent me tracking numbers for two packages. Scheduled to arrive Friday for me. Will be a pleasant surprise to have this early. -
Cool topic. I've thought about this before, and it's not easy, but I think I've narrowed it down to these 10: 1. 10188 Death Star 2. 75192 Millennium Falcon 3. 75313 AT-AT 4. 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina 5. 10261 Roller Coaster 6. 493 Space Command Center 7. 10185 Green Grocer 8. 10210 Imperial Flagship 9. 10194 Emerald Night 10. 76178 Daily Bugle Way to many honorable mentions: most of the other modulars, 89 Batmobile, Winter Village sets, Home Alone house, Mustang, Aston Martin, Disney castle, Saturn V, Pirates of Barracuda Bay, Haunted Mansion, Jabba's palace, Cloud City, UCS Slave I, and of course all classic space sets!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
JRBricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Just built this as well. I love the modulars, and get the new one for New Year's every year. I agree also, I may try to modify the floors and make them a bit taller. One minor thing I didn't like was step 230...the round 1x1 plates just rest on top of the assembly. Are they supposed to "fit" on the 1x1 round tile with bar and pin holder? I couldn't get it to so I assumed they just "rest" there. Of course the next couple of steps help secure them with plates and stuff, but I prefer all pieces to fit before moving on, maybe it's just me. It's a fun building though and lots of great details. -
Would you rather build in person or online?

I love the hands-on, building and constructing with Lego. I’m not creative enough to “build” on the computer. I appreciate those that do, but for me, I’m an in-person guy. -
LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yep just revealed. Nov. 26 Black Friday. I'm guessing Luke's lightsaber will be the GWP? -
Ah ok so here is some discussion about the Home Alone set. I can't find other place in these forums that has any reviews/discussion about it. Am I not seeing the correct place? I see other Ideas sets scattered in other forum topics like Licensed, Special themes, etc. Does it just depend on the set itself where it fits best? Anyway, hoping to see a review from someone here soon.

Ok quick question, do any of you “update” your stormtroopers with the white utility belt (27145)? Just occurred to me after seeing Luke from the Death Star Escape Set a couple years ago has a white one (like in ANH after the trash compactor scene he puts on the Stormtrooper belt back on before he swings across with Leia). I mean the yellow one looks good on Batman and I kinda even like the brown one on Boba, but outfitting all stormies with a belt is it too much lol?

I have the acrylic display stand (Mark 2) from Kingdom Brick Supply and have it displayed vertically. No issues at all after over a year on display. Also if you go back to the 75192 MOD thread there are some good displays, both brick built and specially made displays.

Same here. The only minor disappointment for me is it would've been a great opportunity for Lego to make a Superman microfig instead of using a plain blue one.

Thank you for the great review! Gonna try to pick this up between now and the holidays and see if we can incorporate into our Winter Village layout.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
JRBricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was really surprised at the crowd today at my local Lego store. Got there about 30 min before opening and was about 40th in line. They also had 60 R2s and by time they opened there were way more people in line than that. Surprised at how popular this set has been. Looks like a great set though and looking forward to building it. -
This one would be great for Kessie... https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=27370pb03&name=Duplo Bird with White Chest Pattern, Yellow Beak and Feathered Eye Borders&category=[Duplo, Animal]#T=S&C=105&O={"color":105,"iconly":0} Hard to find though. You could always do the azure bird from the last two modulars.

Can someone kindly point me to info on NI-L8 protocol droid? My limited Star Wars knowledge and lack of info on typical searches leads me to nothing lol. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

I’ve only had missing pieces twice. Both this year. Both Star Wars. I was finally able to get the UCS Falcon and it had 3 missing pieces. All very small, common pieces that I had, but still, I was kinda surprised. And the Cantina had an opened bag inside. I was a bit nervous it was gonna be missing a lot, but I was only missing the reddish brown container box. Luckily I had an extra in my own bins. I wasn’t planning on calling them to replace any of these, but maybe I should to let them know about quality control issues. My guess is quality control at Lego has slipped a bit this year, maybe due to trying to quickly fulfill demand which seems to be at an all time high for them. -
[REVIEW] Pure Display - 75192 - Millennium Falcon Stand and Display Case

I had to wait a few weeks after I signed up for them to email me when they had new stock. I went with the Mark 2, not sure how different it is from the first version though. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

The Nebulon B Frigate Set that was originally for SDCC. Set 77904. Is this the last of the sets for 2020? -
Excellent points @ShaydDeGrai, very well said. We all have definition of what is valuable to us and to each his own. I grew up very modestly too and at times have been through up and downs financially. I am grateful to be able now to afford a little income towards Lego, even some higher end sets that I certainly couldn’t have afforded in my younger years (such as 3 mosaic sets!) And yes Lego has a lot of intrinsic value and I hope we all can enjoy this great hobby no matter who we are.

Seems to be a lot of threads lately on the forums about complaints on how expensive Lego is. Yes it can be pricy for some, but there are ranges of sets and prices to accommodate various ranges. Maybe it’s because there are more larger 18+ sets out or maybe Lego is producing some great stuff. As as for the mosaics, I love them. Bought 3 Siths and made the large Vader. Very fun to make and it’s a great display piece.

Fantastic review! Thank you so much. Really can’t wait for this. I already have Yoda’s lightsaber hilt. In fact I have the whole lightsaber. And it even included a buildable Yoda. (See set 75255 ?)

Add $150 to the Cantina, making it $500...and I’ll still buy it.

Nothing here. Guessing no news is bad news.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this recently or not, but it seems maybe Lego’s quality control is slipping a bit. Perhaps it’s in a rush to get out a backlog of orders now with the reopening of factories. So we got our UCS Millennium Falcon last week after it was finally in stock again. After bag 4, we are already missing 3 pieces! One 1x2 LBG plate, one Technic Pin, and a black 1x2 grille piece. We very carefully remove all pieces from each bag as we always do, so this is very out of the norm for sure. Even double checked the empty bags. Nothing. No big deal as I had all three but I have never had a single missing piece in a set. Ever. I hope Lego isn’t rushing out sets and hopefully they go back to better quality control. I would rather wait a bit longer if it meant no more missing pieces.
