Thank you for the better pics nrg!

I know my son is VERY excited already about these! I'm sure these can still be changed/modified before they're released, correct? I sure hope Captain America has a PRINTED shield for the future...that sticker already looks beat up.

Fantastic! Awesome job! Yep, the hair and facial expression for Sheen...spot on. Good job with Alan too. Love the bed scene, classic Two and a Half Men!

Just picked up this set at TRU and definitely worth it. So far, it's the cheapest set to get a Jack (my son's wish) plus all the great parts. The globe put it over the top for me...I agree that it's one of Lego's best released pieces in a long time.

Technic Coastal Cop Buggy...

I agree. For those of us who are new (just got into Lego two years ago) this is a great opportunity for my sons and I to pick up a reasonably priced Millennium Falcon. My youngest son is as excited about the figures and playing with the Falcon as I am about building it.

The best feature on Bricklink that I found for buying parts I need is the "My Wanted List" tool. If you know the type and quantity of parts you are looking for, this is a great way to go. Once you have your wanted lists, you can "query shops" and it will give you a list of all the stores that have the parts you are looking for, beginning with the store(s) that have the most parts on your wanted list. Saves a TON of time!

Sweet! Wow, that snuck by me. Guess I would've figured my Lego store or LS@H first. Thanks!

First of all, great review. Second, I wouldn't mind buying a Lego alarm clock (especially Star Wars), but I'm still waiting for any information at all about these:

Hey! Great blog by the way! Sorry for the double-post - I sure hope this set becomes a reality. Keep up the great work and please let me (us) know if you get more info about this.

Not sure if this has been covered yet - I searched the forums and couldn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been brought up. Very interesting article and interview with Andy Lown, head of Sydney Opera House commercial partnerships. Scroll down to the interview... https://amodularlife.wordpress.com/2010/07/26/new-sydney-opera-house-lego-set/ "For example Lego who we are now working with to create a Sydney Opera House set. They’ve recently completed the Taj Mahal, which I believe is a 6000-piece Lego set, and they believe this could be bigger." How great would this set be!

We (my kids and I) don't necessarily collect any one particular theme. We usually go for the "cool" sets. We have the modulars - GG, Cafe Corner, Fire Brigade, and Grand Emporium and some road plates to make our version of a city. Throw in some smaller city sets, collectable minifigs and the kids enjoy it and I love the builds. We have the Statue of Liberty, Imperial Flagship, M.Market Village, Space shuttle, Slave I, some Star Wars sets, basically just whatever we think looks fun. They are pretty excited about the new HP Hogwarts castle coming out, so that'll most likely be our first HP set.

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but Lego does have a Disney licence correct? My kids and I went to Disneyworld this summer and when I saw the Magic Kingdom castle, I immediately went into Lego mode. I was thinking how cool would it be to have this as a large, sculpture-based set? 2-3 thousand pieces, similar in size to the Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal, etc. Not necessarily minifig scale, but large enough that it would be a cool display and fun build...just a thought.

You mentioned that you have two more than Bricklink...BL doesn't have the new Han or new Veers from 8129 listed yet...are those the two you are referring to?
-
Large sculptures. My favorite build of all-time so far has been the Statue of Liberty. I love large projects, full-size busts, etc. Ones that require a couple of thousand pieces at least. Sometimes they take a while to accumulate the pieces from BL, but well worth it when completed. Speaking of, any news on official LEGO large sculptures anytime soon?

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
JRBricks replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Does anyone have any information on when the Lego Star Wars minifig-style alarm clocks are coming out? I remember reading about them (and seeing pictures) back in February. I figured by now we would at least have some info on availability/pricing. -
When I first saw this set, I was ecstatic to see the orange fuel tank and the booster rockets. I had been planning to build my own for the Shuttle Discovery. So, when I got this set, the shuttle is a bit smaller than the Discovery. I modified my old Discovery and added the fuel tank and booster rockets to it (bascially made the boosters and fuel tank a bit longer). Since I was disappointed with this shuttle, I am very happy with using the tanks with my old Discovery and the combination works great.

Incredible. If this was a set, it would move to #1 on my list without a doubt.
-
2010 - I love the new figure. Has anyone combined the new one with the printed arms and legs of the Cloud City fig? Perhaps someone that has both figs can take a picture of the two combined (printed arms and legs with the 2010 helmet, torso, cape and jetpack)?
-
I believe 2-1B (medical droid) is in Palpatine's Shuttle, correct?
-
I voted for the brick - even though it's probably the least popular I voted for it since my favorite is building sculptures, busts, etc.
-
How about a school? I guess they're concerned that the last things want to play with when they get home from school is, well, a school. I actually think a school would do well. My 5-year old son and my 7-year old niece always seem to build schools whenever they play with Lego. They build the desks, add minifigs for kids and the teacher, etc. I don't think it's a bad idea.
-
Looks like a great set. I love the space theme, including the last shuttle and the Apollo line. I can't quite tell what's printed on the side, does it say "Adventure?" I believe the other shuttle was "Discovery" am I correct?

Nice quick review, thanks. One question, is there printing on the back of Luke and Zev?
