  1. Eurobricks Event 2016 Billund Denmark Let's see where we are with the shared chalets... Before I try to group people let's get the current status correct: I've put the names in green which I believe already have a spot in a chalet or will find their own accommodations. Anyone in black in the list I'm assuming still needs a spot in a shared chalet. Also I've indicated who will arrive on Sunday. Are you coming later and are not yet marked that way in the list then let me know. Please have a look and let me know if something is not correct. Also you must realize that it might not be possible to have a perfect filling in each chalet. For example: If in the end there are 8 people left I'll fit them as 2x 4. This means the people in those chalets all pay a little bit more for their spot in the chalet, but that's the best solution for everyone. So this won't be perfect science, more like the best possible. Current list of eventees: - Bonaparte +2 (candidate chalet responsible) - Dfenz, Bfenz, Amfenz (entire chalet) - Jim, Kitty (taking care of own accommodation) - Ace, Cecilie (chalet responsible) - arriving Sunday - LegoFjotten - arriving Sunday - Ecclesiastes - Rolli + mom - Christian - Commander Red Hat, Nancy - Aredhel - JanetVanD +1 (12years old) - Skalldyr - Whitefang + Belun - Holodoc (candidate chalet responsible) - Snefroe - Peppermint_M - bricktect - L@go - MstrOfPppts - Morten (candidate chalet responsible) - arriving Sunday - Quarryman - arriving Sunday - Rufus, Pandora +2 (+2 very small kids - not counted in the summary) (taking care of own accommodation) - Puvel - Eiker86 (candidate chalet responsible) - arriving Sunday - LEGO_duden - arriving Sunday - Ras 74 - Mechamike Shared chalet overview: Chalet 1 [FULL] Bonaparte (chalet responsible) +2 Commander Red Hat and Nancy Total: 5 Chalet 2 [FULL] Holodoc (chalet responsible) Aredhel Peppermint_M Ecclesiastes MstrOfPpts Total: 5 Chalet 3 [FULL] -> from Sunday Ace, Cecilie L@go Rolli Total: 4 Chalet 4 [FULL] -> from Sunday Morten (chalet responsible) Eiker86 LegoFjotten LEGO_duden Quarryman Total: 5 Chalet 5 [FULL] - Snefroe (chalet responsible) - bricktect - JanetVanD +1 (12years old) - Rolli mom Total: 5 Chalet 6 [FULL] - Christian (chalet responsible) - Skalldyr - Puvel - Ras 74 - Mechamike Total: 5 Chalet 7 [FULL] - Redhead1982 (chalet responsible) - Calanon Remaining: - Whitefang + Belun
  2. We reached 40 people who subscribed so for those who will still sign-up it is important to be aware of this: On Monday most of activities during the day are facilitated by LEGO. For these we are restricted for logistical reasons to 40 persons. So for this part of the program only the 40 persons that signed-up first can participate. When you sign up from this point onwards you are put on a waiting list for the Monday activities and in case someone from the 40 first can't make it to the event those spots will be released to the first on the waiting list.

  4. Great that you plan on coming! And yes, there's still space. Would you be bringing the kids along for the usual activities with LEGO on Monday? I'm checking with LEGO if I should count them as part of the 40 who can participate or if I shouldn't count them (since they are so small).
  5. We'll do our best to group people together for the chalets. We'll start with that in ~1 week from now. So you will come for sure? Then I'll put you on the list. Or still need to think about it?
  6. Done! Jup, it's great that you are coming all the way from the US. I'm pretty sure you won't regret it because EB events are awesome. Let us know if you have any questions or requests. I'll give this topic another week before starting a 'chalet topic' to try work out any remaining chalet stuff in the best possible way.
  7. Oh, and you don't have an ambassador tag yet under you avatar. I'll fix that tomorrow! You are ambassador for which LUG?
  8. Will he still be 12 at the time of the event? That will make a difference for some prices (chalet, etc.).
  9. Ecclesiastes, JanetVanD: would you need a spot in a shared chalet? If yes, please mention it here. I can make a 'chalet topic' later to try to fit everyone in shared chalets who still needs a spot. As for my chalet, here's the composition: - Bonaparte +2 - Commander Red Hat + Nancy I'll drop my "chalet mates" a message to collect all the funds so I can book with the LEGOLand Village.
  10. Indeed, if they don't participate in any of the activities onsite at LEGO they don't count for the 40 person limit. Hope you can make it!
  11. The chalets are reserved for us till end January, so that's the deadline for guaranteed accommodation. BUT: part of the program (the stuff at LEGO) is restricted to 40 persons as I wrote in the topic, so don't wait too long if you like to join this part.
  12. Eurobricks Event 2016 Billund Denmark This is the Sign-Up topic for the Eurobricks Event 2016, our 12th event! If you are certain you will join our event, this topic is were you should post. By signing up you confirm having read the Event Information Topic and agree with everything in that topic. Please include this info when signing up: - How many are you? (do you come alone, or with your family). - Let us know if you want to share a chalet with other eventees or want one just for your family (or will take care of your own accommodation) - Are you a candidate to be a 'chalet responsible' for a shared chalet? (you will know what it means when you've read the information topic) - Tell us any other info you think we should know. Update (7/12/2015): A dedicated topic about the shared chalets is here. List of eventees (will be updated as we go): - Bonaparte +2 (candidate chalet responsible) - Dfenz, Bfenz, Amfenz (entire chalet) - Jim, Kitty (taking care of own accommodation) - Ace, Cecilie (entire chalet) - arriving Sunday - LegoFjotten - Ecclesiastes - Rolli + mom - Christian - Commander Red Hat, Nancy - Aredhel - JanetVanD +1 (12years old) - Skalldyr - Holodoc (candidate chalet responsible) - Snefroe - Peppermint_M - bricktect - L@go - MstrOfPppts - Morten (candidate chalet responsible) - Quarryman - Rufus, Pandora +2 (+2 very small kids - not counted in the summary) (taking care of own accommodation) - Puvel - Eiker86 (candidate chalet responsible) - arriving Sunday - LEGO_duden - arriving Sunday - Ras 74 - Mechamike - Calanon - Redhead1982 Summary: 40 in total, including 7 EB staff members, 10 EB Fellows and 5 LEGO Ambassadors IMPORTANT UPDATE (7/12/2015): We reached 40 people who subscribed so for those who will still sign-up it is important to be aware of this: On Monday most of activities during the day are facilitated by LEGO. For these we are restricted for logistical reasons to 40 persons. So for this part of the program only the 40 persons that signed-up first can participate. 13. Eurobricks Event 2016 Billund Denmark The one stop place for all your event info! 1/ Where, when, what: Get ready for our the 12th Eurobricks event, at the heart of the LEGO universe: Billund, Denmark. The event will be Sunday 17th, Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th of April. Travel days are Saturday and Wednesday. The program will be very interesting as always! Important: On Monday most of activities during the day are facilitated by LEGO. For these we are restricted for logistical reasons to 40 persons. So for this part of the program only the 40 persons that sign-up first can participate. 2/ Accommodation We stay in comfortable wooden chalets in the lovely LEGOLAND® Holiday Village near a lake at 5 min walk from LEGO. For those who want to share a chalet, we'll take the Wild West chalets which all have living room/kitchen, a bathroom (shower/toilet), and 2 bed rooms (one with 2 box mattresses and one with a cot and one bunk bed (two beds over/under each other)), so 5 beds per chalet. The LEGOLAND® Holiday Village has 20 Wild West chalets reserved for Eurobricks till Friday 29th of January 2016. So in order to be sure to have a chalet we need to finish all bookings before this time. Prices: Wild Western chalet (DKK/night): 1439,- (16/04), 1229,- (17/04), 1229,- (18/04) 1229,- (19/04) Camping card (one needed per chalet): 110 DKK Breakfast: 90 DKK/day (optional, but I assume everyone will want breakfast) - Children (3 - 12 years incl.) 65 DKK/day Bed Linen & Towels: 90 DKK/Per Person (optional, you can also bring this yourself) I've added an example (see below) so you can see how to calculate your total cost for the stay if you share a chalet. IMPORTANT: we have a deal with the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village to have 1x the buffet dinner in their restaurant and in return they give us unlimited access to a private conference room. We'll use this room for the evening activities (and possibly some activities during the day). The price for the buffet dinner is 198,00 DKK (~27 Euro) while Children 3-12y pay 99,00 DKK (~13 Euro). By signing up to the event you agree to join the group buffet dinner at the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village on the Monday evening of the event. Booking and payment: We'll do this again in a decentralized way. Per chalet one person needs to be the 'chalet responsible'. This person will collect the money from the other people in the chalet and will be responsible for the booking and payment of the chalet to the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village. Payment is to be done shortly after booking (the chalet responsible pays directly to the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village, not to us!). For booking a chalet you have to send an email with all info to the Village (see example below) and they'll provide you a link for the payment. Chalet responsible: We'll work out who'll be the chalet responsibles in the sign-up topic. Please indicated in the sign-up topic if you'd be OK to be a chalet responsible or rather not. We prefer people who already came to past events to take the role of chalet responsible over people who we've never met before. Also in the sign-up topic you can work out with whom you'd like to share a chalet. If you become chalet responsible you should get in touch with the other people in your chalet (by Personal Messenger) and give instructions on how they can send you the money. Once you have collected all the money you can send an email (see example below) to the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village to make the reservation. As soon as the LEGOLAND® Holiday Village receives your email they we will send a payment link directly to the email address provided. The payment link will expire 5 day after it has been send and all major credit cards can be used. If you come with your wife or entire family and would like a complete chalet you will of course be your own chalet responsible. Address and Contact: LEGOLAND® Holiday Village Ellehammers Allé 2 DK-7190 Billund Phone: +45 7951 1350 E-mail: reservation@legoland.dk 3/ Sign-up for the event: You can sign up for the event here. 4/ Some examples: Example calculation of the total cost for your stay (assuming a full chalet of 5 persons): I'll take myself as an example: I'll stay the entire event, so 4 nights, in a chalet with 4 other people (so full chalet, 5 people in total), that makes [(1229 DKK x 3)+(1439 DKK x1)]/5 = 1025,2 DKK. I'll also take breakfast each day, making the total 1025,2 DKK + (90 x 4) = 1385,2. I'll take the bedlinen and towels, so 1385,2 DKK + 90 DKK = 1475,2 DKK. Now I only need to pay my share of the camping card (one needed per chalet), so 1475,2 DKK + (110 /5) = 1497,2 DKK So my grand total is 1497.2 DKK, or after conversion (using xe.com) that makes 200,7 EUR per person (that's ~25 euro more than 2 years ago). Example email for booking a chalet (only for 'chalet responsibles'): Here are a few pictures to give you an impression of the place where we'll stay.
  14. It's a bit unfortunate this server move was done shortly after the other server issue we recently experienced, but it's totally unrelated and we couldn't control the timing of this move. But now all that should be behind us and EB will again be up and running all the time.
  15. Hello everyone, Our server was just moved to a new datacenter which was the reason of the downtime. I was planning to post the following message, but due to an overload of work I totally forgot. My apologies! Topic is here.

  17. We again suffered from the same problem we had about a week ago, causing some downtime. Last time we only fixed the issue, but didn't find the root cause. This time also the root cause was found and a permanent fix implemented! Discussion topic is here.

  19. Emails should now be working again
  20. I don't know anything about that. Maybe another staffer know if that topic was moved.
  21. We experienced an issue on our server which caused some downtime. Topic is here.
  22. We experienced an issue on our server which caused some downtime. Our server expert Ace managed to get us back up and running (thank you Ace ). We are still further investigating. Things are still a bit slower, but I assume that's cache related (the server was restarted) and should get better soon.
  23. Welcome!
  24. It would be great if we can find a regulator who can, over time, restore these old useful indexes.
  25. I don't see how that answers the question... I was asking about sites like Flickr, Brickshelf, ... What are those sites of yours?
