Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Bonaparte replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm not Mister Phes, but I'll try to answer your question. Steve Witt of the LEGO Community team has promised that if ambassadors make a presentation for the part requests by their communities he'd deliver the presentation to the right people inside the company. These people will look into the suggestions but there's no guarantee any of them will every be produced. Also I can tell you that I'll be in Billund in 3 months from now and I'll be taking the presentation with me on my laptop. That was the long answer. The short one is "maybe" -

Access granted. Welcome in the academy! -
Both Zorro and Izzy made a B-day thread for the Captain, but I beat them both by 1 and 2 minutes Now they are all merged into one.

Strictly speaking I'm 30 minutes too early, but I want to be the first to congratulate my buddy Captain Green Hair with his 28th Birthday. I wish you a lot of these (you choose if you want the bike or the girl )

Shipyard masters are responsible for the Classsic-Pirates.com blog and they work with the blog-team to produce regular and high quality content. -
Thank you!

So, did you resize them or are they still 1:1 from the original scan? It's important not to resize them so people can print them in the original size.

Here's one which is still 1024x768. -
We do run on an expensive and powerful server, and I hope you feel that by the speed of our website, but we have no problems with funding.

Well, maybe the picture I provided is not the best example for a 1700 area community hall , but I'm sure you'll be able to find something better on the Internet. And most probably Ratshot will be able to provide you a better explanation.
-
I think it's a place where the people of the town can come together for a party, watching a theater play, ... a multi-purpose big room. Like this: You'll find many examples when googling for "community hall".

We don't like to talk about money when we can talk about something as beautiful as LEGO.

Our Fellow Teddy compares the new exclusive Imperial Ship with the older official Pirate ships. Check out this thread for all the shots.
-
There are many parts of this ship which I absolute like a lot: - The stern looks just great and very original - Everything on the deck looks superb, the corvijnagelbanken, the wheel, ... - I like the masts a lot, the alternation of black and yellow I like a lot and is actually a very realistic touch. - I also like the fact that from the first platform in the mast, the upper mast is not immediately above the one below. That's how it was also done for real ships and I've not seen that been done much on LEGO ships. For stability reasons of the masts I've stayed away from doing it like that, but I'm curious to see it with rigging and to know if the rigging can support the masts like this. As constructive criticism I'd suggest to add a bit more curve in the side of the ship. Now the lines in the sides are all very horizontal which is accentuate even more by the straight red line going from bow to stern. I think this part needs some updating still.

Our rules are black and white, but we are enforcing them based on best judgment on a case by case basis. That the only way to do it on the Internet where anyone can claim he's above 18. However, when someone bluntly posts on our forums he 14, we can't look the other way.

This is not going to be an easy choice because I'm already seeing several great candidates who have shown their interest in this thread. At this point we'll need for sure 1, maybe 2 bloggers to add to the team. Besides the blogging aspect you'll also have a say during the preparation of stuff like the community build because those are all managed in the same (hidden) forum which we use for managing the blog. I already feel bad in advance because we won't be able at this moment in time to take in all the great candidates who have expressed their interest, but even when you don't get in now I'm fairly certain this won't be the last time a blogging position is open. We'll leave this thread open for a little longer and make a decision in a week or so. -
I will definately come to the EB Event!

While I love the competitions a lot, I suggest not doing that much of them as last time. I still remember I was spitting mouse-like candies on the hotel car-parking when I should have been in bed already -

It's important that whoever gets selected at least knows how to resize pictures. I'm not sure you meet that requirement... -
