  1. Yes, that's normal and should stabilize soon. Our new server has a different IP address, so it will take some hours (up to 24h) for all DNS servers on the Internet to get synced. I had the same tonight, say the new server and for a while again the old one, now I'm again seeing the new one.
  2. I'm currently running a script to rebuild all posts in our database. This might fix the weird character problem of some of our members. It's worth a try. The script is still running an might slow us down a bit while it runs.
  3. Aha, so if Dennimator stops posting this problem should disappear On a more serious note, Dennimator, are you using some funny Skandinavian keyboard with a non standard ' character? Does this happen only with posts you made before the move? Or do you have this problem when you post now? Do you have on your keyboard another button with the ' character which you can try to use? I notice CopMike has the same problem... he's also from Sweden so he must be using the same funny keyboard variant. Right now I can't think of a solution yet.
  4. We have moved today to a new server which gives us more horse power. We know from experience that we might have to do some more server tuning or fix small problems. Please let us know in this thread if you experience any issues which might be related with our server move (non working functionality, etc). This server should be as fast as the old one (and hopefully even a bit faster), let us if you feel this is not the case for you. Thanks!
  5. That's indeed a beautiful and very usable figs for many themes including Pirates. I want one for sure.
  6. Our new server welcomes you! If you can see this post it means we didn't screw up our site while moving to the new server. Go here to discuss, report problems, etc... Edit: We are still tuning our new server as more members/guests find their way over here from the old one. In the next week or 2 weeks we might still have some problems from time to time (e.g. server getting slow during some periods). This is normal when you're moving everything to a new server and we are working closely with our provider to get things stabilized and tuned. Let us know if you should experience some slow response times. That helps us a lot. - The Eurobricks staff
  7. Please do chose your thread titles and descriptions with more care in the future. The title of this thread is not relevant with the content. Also the 20 question marks as description serve no purpose. If everyone chose their thread titles/descriptions like you did our forums would be a mess. Thanks!
  8. You've managed to make a ship with all the good Captain Green Hair aspects and yet give it a typical SlyOwl touch
  9. Once more I'm feeling this thread is going in the wrong direction. If someone wants to discuss LEGO's quality issues, then this thread is not the place. It can be mentioned, but not continuously discussed over and over. I'm not saying LEGO quality problems can't be discussed on Eurobricks, but that should not be the focus in this thread. So stay on topic, focus on the figs, or start your own topic if you want to have a discussion on quality, marketing strategies, ... (Please do first use the search function before starting a new thread --> threads like that most probably already exist)
  10. You have made a perfect ship Captain Zuloo! I like everything about it. It's well build, beautiful, perfect in all it's details. I particular like the look of the stern with the 2 chasers which are very well integrated. Sails and rigging (not a small job) are executed very well. I can't provide any suggestion for improvement, it's a beauty and a masterpiece. Congratulations!
  11. LEGO is now also looking more closely at the extended line because they realized the quality was not OK.
  12. Because some questions were raised regarding the quality of these minifigures I've asked this to the LEGO Community team. Here's a summary of the feedback which I've got I got from Steve Witt (LEGO Community Team):
  13. Let's talk about this in a private place!
  14. I don't want to see any more discussions on the market strategies behind the LEGO collectibles, target audience, who will buy them and who won't, etc... . Instead I want this discussion to be focussed on the actual figures that are inside the bags. Hope that clarifies. And since I'm assuming you were writing your post at the same time as my previous post in this thread I'll take no further actions.
  15. I love a good discussion, but this one has gone far enough. Now it's time to re-focus this discussion on the actual minifigs. You are fee to your opinion, but comments like this one are a bridge too far! If you feel you need to comment, please do so to me in private via PM. From this point on I'll take unpleasant actions against members who continue to take this thread off-topic.
  16. We welcome anyone linking to discussions or whatever on Eurobricks as long as there's a reference to EB as the source. We see that as common courtesy. Link away
  17. As Zorro already said, this set is an Exclusive so it should be around for about 2 years.
  18. Let's stop the off-topic Bionicle discussion! The next one to mentioning Bionicle in this thread will get <insert something bad> A Greek fig, a Mexican with sombrero, ... Those two figs are a must have for me.
  19. We're an adult website, but you write like a 10 year old
  20. The Maeve Aulsebrook, a 12-gun brig, by Slyowl Picture is link!
  21. Pirates already disappeared once and made a comeback. I'm pretty sure we'll see the line again in the future, maybe even sooner than you'd expect
  22. This is a very interesting prototype! Once it becomes a product I can guarantee I'll buy a bunch of these. This was really a big gap in the arsenal of weapons available to us LEGO Pirates fans as became obvious from our part request thread.
  23. I'll start driving from Belgium on Wednesday morning around 8:00, so I'll be at the Doc's place around 10:30 and we'll arrive on Wednesday evening in Billund (ETA will be around 18:00). I'll start driving home on Sunday morning (after breakfast). So that means 4 nights for me. I'm OK with a 5-bed room, but please make sure all beds are single ones, last year some volunteers had to sleep in 1 double bed . You can put me with whoever you want in the room, I don't like any of you so it's all the same for me
