  1. The first three sets you describe are a must have... and yes, a light brick inside the Balrog is a very cool idea
  2. They have to write his complete name, because of trademark purposes. Besides that, I really think the figs are a must have. I can't wait am really going to save up enough money for a baddies army. The orc hair/ear pieces are fr!ck!n awesome. The only wish I now have is a lot of elves in future sets
  3. People expect too much from this theme. I think the sets are amazing, I will for sure buy all sets at least once. The figs are great, the weapons are great, the moc opportunities are great. I expect a whole new community of fanbased Lego creations, based on the movies. Enough thought on playability for kids and more than enough new possibilities for us "bigger kids". What more can you expect of TLC. 2012 will be a great year for my Lego collection.
  4. WOW... the SW mini's weren't there 2 years ago. Amazing.
  5. 14 out of 137 sets... is 10.2% I actually think the value of these sets represent a bigger %
  6. Had some budget leftovers from Xmas, so I bought the following: - Mill Village Raid - Kings Carriage - Joust I was pleasantly surprised bout the Mill Village Raid and the Joust Very nice sets, fun to build
  7. My fleet isn's as big as most here, but my fleet is starting to shape up: 4184 The Black Pearl 4195 QAR 6243 Blackbeard's Bounty 7018 Viking Ship 7048 Troll Warship 10210 Imperial Flagship Hoping for some more PotC ships...
  8. It is so big, so nice, and the coloring... fantastic I could cry. Is it march already?
  9. absolutely stunning... 4 a proud Avalonia
  10. I hope this one will be next
  11. I would love to see a mold for the Warg, like TLC did for SW with the Tauntaun. This set would be very suitable: Edoras and the Golden Hall simular to "city of atlantis" set Golden Hall (same size as the ruins of the Atlantis set) Some scenery of Edoras landscape Figs: Théoden, Éowyn, Aragorn, Sharku and a warg rider Molds: Horse and a warg € 69,99 approx 700 pieces
  12. I totally agree with you, lets make a nice Rivendell set with all the "exclusive" elves like Arwen, Elrond, Galadriel and Celeborn. 4 elves to rule them all.
  13. I remember the first price indications for PotC being as high as these rumors. The QAR being € 149,- in the rumors, ending up being € 119,99 and me paying € 99,99 at the end. So I really don't rely much on this pricing yet. Surely it will be a bit more expensive than the castle sets, but still reasonable.
  14. Some more nice (playfeatured) sets would be: Edoras and the Golden Hall, simular to the "City of Atlantis" set. € 69,99 - approx 700 pieces Minifigs: Théoden, Éowyn, Aragorn, Sharku and a second orc (Wargrider) Scenery: Golden Hall, some furniture with the stairs A brick build rock and some scenery, fitted for Edoras landscape Extra features: Brick build warg Horse The road to Helm's Deep, simular to "Battle for Geonosis" set. € 39,99 - approx 300 pieces Minifigs: Rowan Rider, Rowan soldier, a Edoras peasant and 2 orcs (wargriders) Scenery: A brick build rock and a dead tree Two brick build wargs
  15. I would really want a Rivendell set (like Diagon Alley), with multiple play features: Play feature 1 Elven building with big bed, where Frodo is brought when he got stabbed. Figs in this scene: Frodo, Gandalf, Arwen and Elrond Play feature 2 Piece of forest with water plate, where Frodo meets Galadriel and gets a vision Figs in this scene: Frodo and Galadriel Play feature 3 The main balcony with a lot of chairs, a stone table and some scenery (with the ring) Figs in this scene: The counsel of Elrond (some elfs, dwarfs and humands). Enough to play all scenes in Rivendell and enough material for MOCers. Diagon Alley had 11 minifigs, so this set could include as many: Frodo, Gandalf, Arwen, Elrond, Galadriel 2 elfs, 2 dwarfs and 2 humans I would buy at least 2 of these sets
  16. I hope so... Maybe Rivendell and the Shire playsets for 2012 Because they tend to be in most movies (LotR and the Hobbit)
  17. Here are some nice additions from the LotR trilogy: The Shire Hobbit house with round door and front garden Figs: Bilbo, Frodo and Gandalf Orthanc Tower of Orthanc (sized down) with brick build eagle Figs: Saruman, Gandalf Rivendel Elfen shrine and the water scale Figs: Elrond, Arwen, Galadriel and Frodo Gandalf vs Balrog Collapsing bridge with bruick build Balrog Figs: Gandalf Last march of the Elms Brick build Treebeard Figs: Merry, Pippin Path of the dead Scenery of inside the path of dead Figs: Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and 2 or 3 dead kings Battle of Osgilliath Scenery of ruins of Osgilliath and a brick build Fellbeast Figs: Faramir, Boromir, Gothmag and Nazgul Fall of the Witchking Small scenery with a brick build Fell beast Figs: Witchking, Éowyn Mount Doom Last scene of the movie Figs: Frodo, Samwise, Gollum Some more ideas when I see the movies again
  18. I don't agree totally, if you look at the sets TLC introduced when PotC was launched, only half of the sets was based on "On Stange Tides". The rest was from the former three movies. They will make some awesome sets of the Hobbit, but I think this theme will last longer than just 2 waves. Lets hope for some nice exclusives :)
  19. Wow nice MOC... Looks very scandinavian. Merry Xmas to you too, and lets hope for a lot of Lego under the tree :)
  20. I hope for a lot of battle packs (as it seems 2011/2012 is the year of SW battle packs) to increase army size easily. Here are some suggestions: Moria Goblin Battle pack 4 Moria Goblins, 2 with bows and 2 with swords (in both hands) As a piece of scenery: a pilar of Moria's mine Helm's Deep defender Battle pack 1 Elven archer, 2 Gondorian soldiers with shield and sword, 1 Rohan Rider on a horse As a piece of scenery: a piece of wall Helm's Deep attack Battle pack 4 Uruk-Hai, 2 with spears and 2 with swords As a piece of scenery: a ladder and a ram I could also imagine some exclusive sets and Large sets that everyone wishes for: Gandalf vs the Balrog Bilbo vs Smaug Treebeard with Merry and Pippin Isengard, Gandalf vs Saruman Eowyn vs Witchking on a Fellbeast Rivendel, incl. Elrond, Arwen and Galadriel Etc. Etc. More idea's to come later let the battle begin
  21. I also expect some extra weapons (look at the sword the Ringwraith is wielding in the prelim picture) and I really hope they make new molds of the Uruk swords
  22. I hope for a lot of battle packs (as it seems 2011/2012 is the year of SW battle packs) to increase army size easily. Here are some suggestions: Moria Goblin Battle pack 4 Moria Goblins, 2 with bows and 2 with swords (in both hands) As a piece of scenery: a pilar of Moria's mine Helm's Deep defender Battle pack 1 Elven archer, 2 Gondorian soldiers with shield and sword, 1 Rohan Rider on a horse As a piece of scenery: a piece of wall Helm's Deep attack Battle pack 4 Uruk-Hai, 2 with spears and 2 with swords As a piece of scenery: a ladder and a ram More idea's to come later let the battle begin
  23. If you look at the PotC sets, they used three zombie pirates in several sets. I think this will be the same possibility for LotR. Maybe TLC will surpirse us with 4 or 5 orc/uruk type faces and 2 or 3 goblin faces. Enough variety to make a nice army (especially with the white hand print on the face)
  24. Looking at the list you write, and the knowledge that another Lego Batman game will be launched soon, a Lego LotR game will be the next logical step.
