  1. I was wondering if this set was going to be a single wave shot of TLC, so I started to search around the internet for possible rumors about PotC part 5 and found the following: I can still remember when the third installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean seems to be the last for Captain Jack Sparrow. But when On Stranger Tides was being produced, I said "Oh there's fourth!" Now that the fourth installment is in post-production, Disney gives as a hint that Pirates 5 and 6 may be a sure go. HitFix reports that "Disney has begun quietly telling cast and crew to set aside a major block of time in the very near future so they can shoot" the films. As with the second and third sequels, the plan apparently is for these latest installments to be shot back to back. Of course, you can't make a Pirates movie without Captain Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp. But the actor is committed to shooting Dark Shadows (with Tim Burton) and The Lone Ranger (with original Pirates director Gore Verbinski) in 2011. So when would parts five and six get made? HitFix points out that a shoot like this could take a good chunk of a year. WHOOHOO part 5 and 6 I found some more rumors to support this message. So with this in mind (if this wave is a success), we can expect a lot more Jack Sparrow figures in the future.
  2. Davy Jones looks brilliant, I don't care if he comes with the BP set, just any future set would be ok with me
  3. I am a new Lego fanatic, and I agree. Of all the sets I bought the past two years, the movie themed figs are most appealing. So the sets that I build, I always include flesh faced figs. The Imperial Flagship and Brickbeard's Ship both now have figs out of my PoP and SW boxes.
  4. The first reliable info about the Pearl are announced... November 2011 and 804 pieces. Based on the "Dead man's chest" movie. (over 200 pieces more than Brickbeard's ship) So guys, don't be disappointed, it will be a great ship. Here comes the speculation. How many minifigs are going to be included? And keeping the fact that it's based on the "Dead Man's Chest" movie I hope the following are included: Most likely Captain Jack Sparrow Joshamee Gibbs Elizabeth Swann I hope for Cotton (with his parrot) Marty (the short guy) Pintel (wooden eye) Ragetti (ugly, bare bellied) Just wondering what your ideas are...
  5. I hope "the Flying Dutchman" with Davy Jones will be the big detailed ship in this collection. (We can wait for 2012)
  6. Have you ever seen Hagrid without the coat? That will explain the large bones
  7. We don't have to compain about the number of small and large bones on the QAR set
  8. This one is brilliant Best minifig vignette in ages
  9. I'm a bit disappointed, but maybe because the Diagon Alley is so cool. The buildings should fit to well Hogwarts, but I see no special items or bricks. The figs are ok... was looking forward to some new faces. Will still buy the set to complete the collection.
  10. YEsterday I changed all the Imperial Flagship and Brickbeards Ship crewmembers to flesh faced figs and they really look cool. So no sorrow, the PotC sets will fit in perfectly.
  11. With the in 2012 upcoming movie about the Ghostbusters... that theme would really be my pref: 1) old firehouse 2) ecto 1 3) whatever ghost they will battle in the new movie 4) maybe some stuff from the first 2 movies, like the marshmallow man
  12. I agree, we would really love some of those. Sothe future sets should contain Governer Swann and Commandor Norrington with wigs
  13. Exactly what my wish list would need all the good stuff from the movies... TLG let's do this list
  14. It will probably be the same size as the QAR, with a slightly smaller rear end. But they have to, because early 2012 I want TLG to make a (much bigger) Flying Dutchman with Davy Jones and his crew
  15. Am already building all my old(er) ships... can't wait for the prelim pictures of the Black Pearl
  16. Clark -> 1 pnt JimButcher -> 1 pnt Maegnus -> 2 pnts Turambar -> 1 pnt
  17. I love each and every one of the sets... so many fine new bricks and figs. Surely gonna make all my soldiers of the Imperial Flagship flesh faced Can't wait for any interior impressions of the QAR...
  18. All the Catleset which I bought, were strategic buys (for the bricks and figs) The Pirate theme is more appealing to me. I love the old ships. And I can't wait for the PotC sets in May. SO Pirates for me
  19. After all the sets I bought the last two years, these are going to be my favorite. I just can't wait... already showed it to my wife for approval haha Did anyone notice the small corner bricks on the lighthouse (didn't see those small ones yet in any of the sets I own) Regards, Captain Narb I hope the third ship in this set will be the Flying Dutchman (me being Dutch)
  20. Hi all, We are all awaiting the sets of the PotC collection, as I see on this forum So I thought, lets make a post so everyone can refect their ideas on future sets for our friends at TLG. Davy Jones organ room Figs: Davy Jones (with the octopus armed face, would be so cool), Will Turner, Bootstrap Bill Jones used the organ room as a place where he can sleep, William Turner steals the key to the Dead Man's Chest from him. Bootstrap helps Will escape. or integrate this into: The Flying Dutchman Figs: Davy Jones, Bootstrap Bill, Maccus, Koleniko, Palifico The Flying Dutchman was an infamous supernatural galleon. The Dutchman was first given to Davy Jones by his love, the sea goddess Calypso, who granted Jones captaincy with the duty of ferrying the souls who die at sea into the next world for ten years. Edinburgh Trader Figs: Will Turner, Elisabeth Swann, Captain Bellamy, Crewman (or 2) The Edinburgh Trader was small merchant vessel owned and operated by Captain Bellamy and his crew. After Will escaped from Davy Jones, Davy Jones summoned the Kraken to attack the vessel. VooDoo Shack Figs: Jack Sparrow, Tia Dalma This shack was located on the Pantano River. The mystic Tia Dalma made her home here at some point prior to Jack Sparrow's adventures. Port Royal Figs: James Norrington, Mullroy, Murtogg, Elisabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow, Governer Swann (plus 1 or 2 royal navy figs) Port Royal was a major city and harbor in the Caribbean, situated on the western end of Palisadoes in Jamaica. It was founded by the English, and the British Royal Navy maintained a presence at the governmental Fort Charles. (with prison, gallow, fortified wall and Jolly Mon) So far my first ideas... looking forward to your ideas Land ho' Captain Narbilu
  21. Welcome to Eurobricks and to the addictive world of Lego! 1) it's an expensive hobby? (I think is it, so how much do you spend for ?) Well I started out collecting again 2 years ago. My wife is complaining about the low budget for clothes, because of my new addiction. I can't really decide which theme to buy, so I just bought most themes. 2) wich are the PIRATES sets that are a MUST HAVE and in wich quantity? Pirates isn't really my favorite theme, but the larger ships I would buy and last but not least, did you see the first pictures of the Pirates of the Carabean sets??? That's what I am going to buy for certain. 3) I'm thinking to buy an enchanted island for 45€, i loved it and islanders theme in general, it's a good price, right? Sounds very reasonable. I just want to wish you good luck and lot's of Leg Got time. Regards, Narbilu
  22. Hello All, I've been on this forum for a while, but forgot to introduce myself. I'm Paul, 34 years of age and started collecting Lego just 2 years ago. The little misses thought I could use a new hobby and now she regrets it I think I bought over € 5.000 the past 2 years... I know... I just can't help it. There is not a certain theme I collect. However, I love the latest Potter collection and I can't wait to see the next 3 boxes. My wish list for 2011 is growing by the day though. Alien encounter, Pirates of the Carabean and Harry Potter for the next few months. I have the intention to build a huge amusement park with all the different theme's I have. Timewise I won't be able the next 2 months, but keep your eyes opened for my posts. It will be splendid. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate. Regards, Narbilu aka Paul
  23. I got mine yesterday... and WOOHOO, it is even better than I thought.
