  1. I think this LotR news, will kill all speculation for Kingdom sets in 2012 and 2013 (at least)... still I am very joyful.
  2. The first toys Lego plans to produce will hit store shelves in June, tied to "Lord of the Rings," with new construction sets planned for the weeks leading up to the Dec. 14 bow of "An Unexpected Journey." WOOHOO... gonna save up some money for that... and june is earlier than all my wishes could have hoped for Now we can start a seperate thread on set speculations :)
  3. Thank you for all your comments. A small reaction to ZCerberus: The free space to the left of the gate will be very suitable for the thick wall that I'll build when the shipment of new bricks will arrive. The same counts for the difference in foliage color. The fence is just a small detail for the Hemresa road. I think somewhere between Xmas and New Year the MOC will be finished. Will post it asap. Regards, Narb
  4. Fellow Avalonians, The first steps for the Hemresa traderoute protection is finished. Here is my gatehouse / watchtower. Because I await more bricks to arrive soon, I finished the first layers of the tower and are proud to post the prelim pictures. More pictures As the deadline is tomorrow, I just couldn't wait to finish the first part. I hope Avalonia will grow soon, I know the Hemresa trade route will.
  5. Hemrasa Right through the Mystic Isles lies a road straight to the Enchanted Forest. This road is called Hemresa. At the end of the main road through the Eastern Avalonia rises a Gatehouse leading to the Mystic Isles. This is the home of the Hemresa Legion. Hemgränd Hemgränd is the name of the gatehouse at the east end of Hemresa, leading to main land. A big sturdy wall-like building with massive doors keep uninvited guests out of the west Avalonian region. As the legion awaits the next shipment of bricks, they finished the first part of the gatehouse and in order to show the Avalonian leaders the progress, here are some images: As you can see the gatehouse isn't completely finished yet, but we had a deadline "with thanks to Derfel Cadarn, as an inspiration"
  6. It is a terrible shame that such a beautiful sturdy weapon is in the hands of Mitgardia
  7. Hello Fellow Avalonians, Building the gatehouse/watchtower is not a simple task, it seems we need more stones (read: round greyish 1 stud bricks) and concealment (read: green branches), so I'll have to wait for my order. Writing goes better, so here a small contribution to my storyline: Hemrasa Right through the Mystic Isles lies a road straight to the Enchanted Forest. We expect to finish the gatehouse in a few days.
  8. These men look really brilliant, welcome to the Avalonian Force.
  9. the arch is really B E A You Té Ful
  10. I claim nr. 67 - the Hemresa Legion Post Guides and mercenaries can sigh up here to join or hire Narbilu and his Hemresa Legion.
  11. Is there a specific name for the East Part of Avalonia? Or are the parts claimed, named by the owners?
  12. B-E-A-Ju T Full
  13. It is not that I claim the complete erea, we of Hemresa Legion just secure the road between the main land and the Enchanted Forest. A save passage for travelers and merchants. At both ends of the road we positioned watchtowers and inns. My Legion is at your disposal, we are honoured to protect and be the keepers of the Mystic Isles main road.
  14. Brilliant... also with the "statue" scaled figures Many compliments
  15. Dear Lord, Between the main land and the enchanted forest lays a road, straight through the Mystic Isles called Hemresa (which is Nordic for The Road Home). On both ends are watchtowers with men for hire, who can protect the travelers and merchants to cross this path full of dangers. The Hemresa Legion, my legion. On this map I claim my responsibility in Avalonia.
  16. Wow, this guide is really awesome. Derfel Cadarn, you rock. I'm gonna start my (inspired by you) Medieval Landscape today. Will take a bit longer than you, but I will start. Avalonia will rize and grow. Hail Avalonia
  17. I think the hat and the flag are most brilliant. The simplicity of the tower speaks for the Mitgardian. Grats, a real nice display.
  18. Your workshop is brilliant "Da Gothia". We are looking forward to your production :) Hail Avalonia
  19. Brilliant machinery... my compliments
  20. I don't agree with the fact that TLC won't be able to make story line sets of bigger themes. Look for instance at the "captains cabin" of the PotC set or "the Forbidden Forest" set of HP. TLC is very capable of making smaller sets of big scenes. I guess, as the SW sets, TLC can make this a ever lasting success with one or two waves a year for a complete decade (we hope)
  21. I agree, if you look ate the PotC sets (aside from a few boats) 9 boxes: 2 large ships, 1 set with two carriages and the rest didn't have more than one or two small boats. If you look at the Indy Jones sets, PoP sets and HP sets, just little vehicles appear. Come on with the prelim pictures
  22. I Would, but I won't be home the next few days, so maybe the next turn
  23. I, Narn Bel Iluov, Narbilu in short, and my Hemresa Legion will pledge my alliance with the Avalonia guild. Hemresa Region Between the West Region and the Middle Region lays a path, we call Hemresa, which is used as a shortcut by many merchants. But danger lures in every corner and bush beside the path and without the right precaution, little merchants get to the other side without casualties or loss of goods. Hemresa Outposts & HQ On both ends of the Hemresa path are structures where merchants and other travelers can sign up for the journey across Hemresa. The small outposts have enough space to accommodate at least one Hemresa Legion Squad. Each outpost is equipped with an owl post. Exactly in the middle of the path you will find the Hemresa headquarters. It’s a small accommodation, suitable for Narbilu’s Legion Squad and the big man himself. An office with chartroom, the barracks and storage room. Narbilu His name is Narn Bel Iluov, the son of the Dryad, named Allinillith, believed to be a direct descendant of one of the ancient druids. Possesses a small spark of Gaya’s magic and uses it to all the advantages. Decades of wandering the forests of the West Region and the isles of the Middle Region made him one of the best and cautious guides of Avalonia. His knowledge and strength attracted a lot of followers, faithful and loyal to his cause. Armed with helmet and breastplate he can collect a strong amount of blows, more than enough to return the favor and swing his double handed hammer. Next to the hammer, Narbilu wields a staff with an enchanted green ruby. The Hemresa Legion The Hemresa Legion are mercenary guides, who help the merchants walk this path at a fastest pace possible and with minimum harm, depending on the donation. The donations vary from a cut of the merchandise, payment in gold or other valuables to return services. Hemresa Legion Squad Narbilu’s Legion is divided in legion squads of enough henchmen to make a save journey across the Hemresa path. Hemresa Legionnaires Trained to fight the mystical creatures and bandits luring for treasure or just a feasts meal. They are loyal to Narbilu and not the client. Equipped with single or double handed axes and armed with hardened helmets and breastplates they are the stronger Hemresa footmen. Hemresa Beast Cavalry As strong as an ox, as fast as and much more dexterous than a horse, the Hemresa Beast Cavalry is more than unusual. These men are highly trained and use their abilities to ride forest trolls. Their beast is their weapon. With large chains they control their beasts, but the long relationship between the rider and the troll need little communication. The rider sits in a sturdy seat on the back of the beast having a perfect overview of the battle. Hemresa Savages Deep in the forest of the West Region is a tribe of savage orcs, cut of from civilization. Nissk, one of Narbilu henchmen, caught a few and uses them as trackers. Their claws and jaws are a reasonable threat to anyone crossing their road. Hooked up to steel chains they tack their pray with their natural senses. With his savages and his whip, no one is save from the will of Nissk. Hemresa Scouts Only the best and most knowledgeable scouts and trackers may join the Hemresa Legion. Eyes for detail and danger and responsible for a save journey. Clothed in hooded capes and camouflage clothing, they tend to be stealthy in the woodlands of the Hemresa path. Equipped with a metal pointed spear, they can clear paths before enemies can react. Hemresa Thunderer The right hand of Narbilu is the dwarven blacksmith (how cliché). He discovered a vain in the deepest cave of West Region with a very hard metal (Tri-illium), not easy to forge but stronger than steel. The first thing he forged was Narbilu’s hammer. Now every Hemresa henchman walks with weapons made by the hand and hammer of Thunderer. Next to being the best blacksmith he is a fears warrior and dragon hunter. Hemresa Standard Bearer This is the task of the newest member of the Legionnaires. A sort of initiation test. Walk proudly with the Hemresa standard and fight in honor of Narbilu and Avalonia. Hemresa Owls Narbilu uses owls to be his eyes in the sky and as message bringers to the outposts of Hemresa. And the whole Legion
