This ended up being a lot easier to build than I expected, so I decided to make a how-to video: Any suggestions on how I could improve the design?

Howler's Gulch was once a booming coal town, but when the miners dug too deep, they released an unthinkable threat that spread through the desert like wildfire. Now the few remaining pockets of survivors roam the desert in search of water and shelter, their numbers diminishing every day. Charles Livingstone- Before the plague, he was a respected Civil War veteran, but his first encounter with the undead left him without his legs and his trachea. Thanks to the work of a brilliant doctor/mechanic from San Francisco, he now lives relatively comfortably as the leader of a ragtag group of survivors. His favorite tea is Earl Grey, and his hobby is mowing down zombies with his steam-powered wheelchair while laughing maniacally. The Man in Black- No one knows much about this character, other than that he's a man who wears black. He's a heck of a shot, and that's all that matters to the other survivors. Jack the Monkey- Jack was bitten by one of the undead while working as a trained coal hauler monkey, but rather than become undead himself, he turned into a fully sentient monkey/zombie hybrid. The same doctor who fixed up Livingstone fitted him with drills for arms, which he uses to tear through hordes of zombies like butter. Butch Grimlow- Jack's owner and a former coal miner, Butch now applies his pick-axing skills to zombies instead of rocks. He keeps the heads of his victims in a knapsack strapped to his back, and the others are afraid to ask him what he plans on doing with them. Calamity Ann- Ann is a tough-as-nails sniper and former train robber who lost all of the flesh on her right arm in a previous encounter. No one on the team has had the nerve to ask her how it happened, and she acts like she doesn't even notice it.

Would it fit under Category D rules if one of the survivors was a captive zombie?

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Lancethecat replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
How do you tell what the price of each individual piece is? The prices didn't show up in my bag. -
I've never bought a constraction set before, but I'm thinking about getting one of the new Star Wars buildable figures. Any recommendations? Or are there any other Star Wars sets in that price range that I should get instead?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Lancethecat replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Favorites: Winged Warrior- I don't think we've seen this much gold on a minifigure since the Temple of Atlantis set - this one would look great next to the Battle Goddess. Shark Guy- Yes! LEGO hasn't been disappointing us with these costumed figures. Satyr- Great to see another mythology figure, and the legs look new. Least Favorites: Clumsy Guy- Can't think of any use for this figure. Janitor- That mop piece just looks weird. Queen- The new dress piece is ... odd. I think the regular slope piece looks better. -
EB Xmas Raffle 2015 - Your ideal Christmas tree entry thread
Lancethecat replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Town
Putting up the tree is so much easier when you have a wizard around... Thank you so much for organizing this raffle, CopMike! Have a merry Christmas! -
I'm planning on releasing a LEGO Ideas project soon with figures of Faramir and Eowyn. Does anyone know where I can find some torso decals that I don't have to pay a commission on if the project gets approved?

I'm guessing that this set will also be released as a $400 combo pack with the Ecto-1? -

Bloodstained Bay was once a sea port, but pirate raids and the raging sea have reduced it to nothing more than a crumbling tower on a lone rock in the open ocean. It is here where Captain Bart takes his prisoners to have them walk the plank to their grisly deaths at the hands (tentacles?) of the Sanguinary Squid, a creature so foul and loathsome that it has stained the walls of Blood Tower with the gore of its untold victims. When a prisoner is reluctant to leap to his doom, Captain Bart often has to leap in and provide some "encouragement". As cabin boy Danny plunges from his perch, his only thought is turned toward the churning of the water below that can only signify that the monster has arrived. Will he be the first to escape the Squid's Reckoning? That question was actually rhetorical; he's definitely going to die.

Alien Investigators Raffle Building Challenge
Lancethecat replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Agent Sharon Blackwell was told that the creature had been sighted somewhere around here in the Navajo Desert, but the Razar detector still wasn't picking up any life readings... -
Thanks for the pictures. I've noticed that most LEGO sites haven't been posting much information on New York Comic Con this year.

This looks like it's going to be an interesting theme, but I think that LEGO went overboard with the new molds and figure designs. They're starting to look too elaborate and un-LEGO-like, almost like Mega Bloks. LEGO should probably keep a limit on the number of molds they make for new themes to make sure that people can still afford them.

Minifig parts and accessories you don't like
Lancethecat replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the new stud-shooting blasters look oversized, ugly, and completely un-gun-like. They seem to have been put to good use in that new part on Rey's Speeder, though. -
Sooo... has this project been abandoned, or is it going to be expanded soon?
