  1. There doesn't appear to be an update, on my end at least. Pulled up the app and nothing seems new. The Apple store and Google Play pages seem the same, too. EDIT: Looks like it isn't out in the US yet, just Russia at least. Here's the image.
  2. If it is not too late to add questions, I have one! How did you become a part of the Bionicle team? What sort of instructions were the team given as a starting point for the reboot?
  3. Are you taking questions? I'd be interested to learn more about the shift from the webisodes to the Netflix series, and what drove the decision to switch from Dum!Dum! over to Volta (if that even was a decision-type thing. Could be they never planned to keep media teams between projects/years. Though if that is the case, It'd be cool to know the reasoning behind that approach).
  4. And it's labelled "LEGO BIONICLE Nr. [1]" at the bottom. Here we goooo [any chance that comic is going to be a reprint of (part of) the first graphic novel? Hard to tell, but to my eyes it looks kind of like the opening bit with the Skull Spiders and the Jungle village.] EDIT: yeah, the comic image there is definitely this.
  5. Apologies for the off-topic question, but is that an ad for a new Bionicle magazine down in the corner of those images?
  6. July, I think. Can't find where that was announced though.
  7. Thanks again for compiling everything! I don't think it is entirely the case that it was a reboot. There's a restart to the continuity, but that's just because the scans we have for 97 onward are from World Club, which was a brand-new magazine that year and had to re-introduce the comic. If we can ever get our hands on the Jan/Feb 97 Klick issue, I suspect it will have something else in place of the two intro pages in the World Club Jan/Feb 97 issue - maybe a mini-episode with the Time Twisters, considering they were a 97 theme, we know they appeared at some point, and we have all the other 97 comics.
  8. Lewa's arm build is probably the most fun, but I can't get over how Pohatu's pays homage to the original model with the horizontal shoulder connection. So it wins, for me.
  9. It's not really clear where the author is pulling his information from - it reads to me like these are his own impressions, not necessarily based on some inside source we lack access to.
  10. What exactly are you contesting here? The fact that there were gold masks at all? Because, uh... there were, there you go. If its more a matter of whether they were "planned before BIONICLE had proved itself worthy of having any promotion," then yeah. They were planned as part of the launch and LEGO had no idea how well the launch would go over. Same as the G2 launch.
  11. Brickset got the boxart from somewhere. EDIT: ^ right! that.
  12. The big deal is the Journey to One trailer right now, but the first 2016 designer video and a new "Kids Video" have popped up on the site, too.
  13. Umarak's got a... fourth ribcage on his back?
  14. It isn't actually out on Android. For some reason the page for it is accessible (it shouldn't be), but the vast majority of people are still unable to download the game anyway.
  15. How about some VAs?
  16. For what it is worth, that also explicitly says season 1 will be available March 4. There may be more in the pipeline for summer/next year.
  17. Like Kalhiki said, the front foot joint on the Destroyer is secured to a Hordika neck, and the back one is connected to a trans neon green bone (which is also the claw color). The comic foot has a grey 6M bone and a black 5M bone for the leg connections respectively, exactly like General Grievous. And it has greyish claws to boot. The only way in which it doesn't match the Grievous model is the lack of a third toe. I guess if you wanted to argue that there is a theoretical more finalized version of the Destroyer out there that they used that was revised to have a foot almost exactly like Grievous, then sure, it's possible. But that's quite the assumption to make.
  18. It's the Mask of Control, just un-mutated or whatever. You'll notice that that foot isn't from Umarak the Destroyer either - it's a foot from Grievous. The artists didn't have Umarak the Destroyer for reference and just used approximates.
  19. Are they using Grievous' foot as a placeholder for the Destroyer? Interesting that whoever produced this had that model for reference. Never been a fan of shadowy-vortex-with-red-eyes Makuta, not a huge fan of it now. Though I guess with the Mask of Control as the mcguffin there wasn't anything more solid available to visually represent him with like in the web animations. Its just such an uncreative form. I'd be happier if that were the Mask of Ultimate Power in front of Umarak, but we've been told Makuta is the culprit behind stuff enough at this point that it doesn't seem too likely that the mask is going to serve a role beyond its ultimate mcguffin job next year.
  20. Reminds me of the concept for the Toa attempting to wake Mata Nui in 2001, only in that case it's Gali who can successfully place the Makoki stone.
  21. Actually, IIRC it was in the epilogue of Downfall. Though it was kind of weird, because really that whole bit was a continuation of one of the serials. I guess Greg just put it in to try to make the transition to 2008 less jarring.
  22. The comic from the beginning of the app looks like it might be assembled from assets or even screencaps of Journey to One. Looks like the Labyrinth of Control is on its own islet.
  23. It's just a recreation, I'm afraid! The Komau in place of the prototype yellow Ruru is a dead giveaway.
  24. I somehow doubt they'd be too inclined to limit the final battle to a minute in a half when they aren't, you know, restricted by the format of 1:30 animatons.
