Neat! So Umarak might be a kind of minotaur-esque labyrinth guardian, that makes sense. Though the Creatures hiding the Mask of Control from Makuta bit does raise some questions. Shouldn't he have been asleep? Maybe he just has a long history of summoning Kulta and Umarak-like minions, so the Creatures built the labyrinth to deter them.

Looks a lot to me like the artist is the same as the one from the Find/Get the Mask! comics. Not really feeling the art or the writing for this one so far.

I mean, we've known that it wouldn't be on the final poster - that was apparent from the one in the background in the Mask Maker videos. The weird thing is that it was there in the first place.

Keep in mind that these sets really couldn't have been made with feedback on 2015 stuff in mind - they would have been in the heat of development before we even knew BIONICLE was returning.

wow Lewa and Pohatu's arm connections are something else. Echoes the original 2001 aesthetic, when the Toa didn't have to be strictly humanoid. Pohatu's connection even directly evokes the one on his original build - if that isn't cool, I don't know what is.

BIONICLE was only a Technic subtheme in 2001. 2002 onward it was branded independently. It's never stopped using the Technic system, though. CCBS is regarded internally as a subset of the Technic system. The argument that sets are using "too much Technic" is more about ball-and-cup connections versus pin-and-beam.

Yeah, don't think anything of LoSS being on the cover, it's a solicitation cover and those are always weird. The one for Island of Doom had an image of Takanuva from the fight with Makuta in Mask of Light.
