Ah, but what do the police and fire units protect.....themselves, no.........there are shops and homes.....plus people too ! Hence the museum set next year, it's getting robbed so the police are trying to catch them in the act. Same to the bank set, a robbery in progress......so what's wrong with a bag snatcher at the supermarket ? The fire theme next year has at least a building, a bin, a oil storage unit and a boat on fire.....things for to be protected like in real life. Now the only way to get a shop or something other than a police or fire set is it in a police or fire set.....oh, well.....we can all do with a bit of action eh ?

Nice try, scale is a bit out....especially height wise. Try using the past Lego bus designs and trimming it as one of these fire vehicles. Brick On 'medib' !

Something from the 1890's eh ? (late Victorian era.......hmm, I'll look into that.).......a motel also could make an appearance later on.....we shall see. Keep those suggestions and ideas coming everyone !

Question I have for everyone.....to do with my hotel design.........modern or late 19th century or art deco ? (it will be single level though due to the cost factors)

The minifigs are the only great thing about sets like the robot or lab sets......the Shredder's bike I do like....big...tough bikie sytle and Shredder all over ! Though also I must remember that these sets are going to purely aimed at 8 year olds so some vehicle designs similar to those in the Dino theme this year were to be expected.

Excellent structure 'snaillad', not really modernist....more true to the Art Deco era but in 40's/50's blue trim at the top. The curves on the building are totally Art Deco. But it's a wonderful design.....Brick On 'snaillad' !

Time for a quick w-i-p......road surface compactor. I'm not sure how it really looks, my worry is how the motor assembly on top doesn't look right ? Suggestions and comments are really need please.

Thanks 'Kristel', it only takes one or three little things that make something POP and add that realism.....almost like magic. Take the rolls of fencing wire.....4 wheel hubs and a sticker made similar to the real one..... Keep watching today for more stuff !

Today I'm going to try for a compactor for road surface smoothing today......I must try a few designs out without having to spend cash.......yeah, cash flow problems.....that's the trouble being self employed.
