Can you say "wasted recolour"?Seriously, the Beasts' main colour is black, it makes perfect sense for the larvae to be black. But blue makes no sense, especially considering no Beast features it. I thought we weren't supposed to take the comics seriously.

That's probably how they're going to be, but honestly I'm sick of tr reddish orange shells. I know it's not going to happen, but I would love to see tr red or tr flame orange pieces. But they're going to use that boring colour anyway. I just hope it won't look tacky.

I would say I'm for more minifig sets only if the new minifigs were worth it. But I must say I'm already missing the full size Heroes- I'd like to see new equipment, helmets, torsos.. . Perhaps things could be inverted next year? But tiny evil aliens sound kind of ridiculous, unless they pull them off well. That said, I finally got my first Invasion from Below sets today: Jaw Beast and Stealth Machine. I built only the first one so far, and I'm surprised how much I like it. Not that I didn't like it, but it's a GREAT looking villain, it's so much cooler in person. I'm loving the new pieces, especially the head halves. Stormer is pretty awesome as well. All in all, highly recommend set.

Nice photos! You make the sets look quite appealing. Hopefully I'll finally get my hands on some of them tomorrow. Flyer Beast's wings look slightly better there (it's the left arm the true weak point). Stealth Machine looks pretty nice and bulky.

I'm not seeing the extra long bones anywhere. They got kind of dropped once the friction socket extenders were introduced, which meant the Fire Lord build wasn't necessary anymore. It's not a coincidence the last set using them was Black Phantom.Looks like they ended up in the realm of forgotten pieces, along Drilldozer's chest armour and the 8M shell (though that one is surprisingly being reused in Lavertus's outpost, if my eyes aren't deceiving me. From JANG's review, looks like they're the 6M shells from Jetbug afterall.

Yeah, I had forgotten that. Like the 2012 catalog (the one that revealed Speeda Demon), showing the Summer heroes with white (or were they silver?) plain torsos.Blue would be rather weird, as she has no blue on her colour scheme. Perhaps it's gold? Her staff end blades and fins on her neck are in that colour. Doesn't explain Crystal Beast's colour changing chest printing though. I still think there's a correlation. Speaking of the Queen, I like her set a lot more now. I thought her body was completely vertical, with the four legs sticking out, but she actually has a well designed insect-like horizontal body section+abdomen. I can't wait to see more of her. Definitely the best looking Beast for me.

I forgot to say..the Queen's chest printing is orange in the episode, but blue in the set. Odd. Crystal Beast's chest printing looked the same orange in some shots and green in others. I wonder if the two things are related...

The Overlord wears.. gold armour? Seems kind of unfitting. He should wear something black or titanium metallic.. but I'm looking forward to see him in a clearer shot.

So, some blurry pics of the System sets are out, based on the minifigs we can make some guesses on how the constraction sets are going to look like: -the Mammoths (at least, the one shown, whom I assume to be Mungus) are bigfigs. That means they're going to be BULKY. Hoping for the Stormer XL chest in a new colour. I can't what tell which colour he is, though- tan? Yellow? Olive green? -Laval and Cragger have a fire theme all over them and their armour. -the Phoenixes are orange and (light?) yellow. I hope for new orange pieces in Fluminox.

I'd say that, while they technically won at the end, the episode feels more like a "f*** you" to guns and violence in general than anything. Breez's solution was the right one in the end, the incident was in no way tied to her actions.I for one am glad Breez finally got some spotlight. Surge BM and the Queen seem to be the best sets. I must say that making the majority of Machines non-humanoids is a BOLD move by Lego. I wonder how these will sell.

I've watched the short movie, I'm watching the full length one now. But I get what you guys mean. Something feels...off. I mean, the Heroes feel all interchangeable now. It just feels like a giant generic fight with no plot or characterization. EDIT: Ok, at least Breez has her personality. That's nice. Oh, Surge's Machine is awesome. Wow, the ending is just..so..tragic.

One of the Speedor sets is even called Fire vs Ice and stages the (possibly final) faceoff between Laval and Fangar. I don't see how there could be any doubt: the wave is based on the classical conflict between Fire, represented by the good guys, and Ice, represented by the bad guys.

I don't like the Raw Jaw feet very much (though I managed to make them work fairly well in a MOC of mine), but they're the closest thing to elephant feet we have. Beast feet might work too though.Your theory on the jaws makes perfect sense. I hope we get new designs as well (glad I'm not the only one who thought of FJM's body build). And I agree, I don't want to see much Technic.. as I said elsewhere, it's not that I hate Technic, but HF based sets should use it as little as possible so to not hinder the CCBS's growth. Sadly, given Fluminox's wings feature (thank you Leewan for pointing that out), looks like we're getting more Technic gimmicks. Now though, I'm really curious about the colours of the tribes. Of course I'm not expecting the figures to religiously follow their minifig counterparts, as budget limitations tend to replace the quirkier colours with more widely used ones (in the constraction realm): Laval's tan became gold and Eris's royal blue was replaced by the far more common bright blue. But, still, I'm hoping for some interesting colours. No tribe has used azure on the minifigs so far (only Gorzan's Striker did), right?

I can't believe I haven't posted here yet! This is an awesome MOC. I wasn't fully convinced about the head, so I would say she looks even better with the Furno XL helmet. Unlike, say, Stormer's, Evo's, etc.., I feel like it looks fairly androgynous, so it works. And I really like the new chest armour you added. The new sets feature Titanium Metallic paws, I wonder if you'll use them once you get an hold of them?

For Mungus I'm thinking a bulky character, like Hulk or Gorzan, with Raw Jaw feet. Panthar, a tweaked Laval/Worriz, Vardy a tweaked Eris/Razar (I wonder what "decorated leg armor" means?). No idea how Laval and Cragger could change from their 2013 versions. Fluminox could be like the other birds with with bigger wings and a taller frame. Sir Fangus has a cape (hopefully Furno's but in a different colour, maybe white to keep the ice theme?), so he might have a build similar to Furno XL (it CAN be done, he had 103 pieces, close to Fangus's 97). I also except the new feet HF's Beasts introduce to be widely used. I wonder if we'll get new weapons? HF this year is lacking melee weapons, I'd like a new blade at least, and some cool recolours.

So he really is a phoenix! Awesome! And I agree, the bad guys are ice themed. Lastly, I'm really curious about the launcher mechanisms. I'd be fine with something like Breakout Rocka's crossbow. Just no flick missiles please.

When did you order them? They might've been delayed, Xmas holidays and all.

A phoenix might give us some orange. Except things like Splitter Beast's head, we haven't had proper solid orange in constraction sets since 2012!

Or what if it's a phoenix?
