This is an imperial's dream come true. The prices will be high, but the sound of officers, stormtroopers, tie bombers... makes me drool Why are the sets around £12-£13 anyway. Yes, the detail is high but 4 minifigs and a few bricks (and licensing) shouldn't cost the Earth.

Where's the chimney-sweep? This is a beautiful representation of urban housing back then - love it!
-
I live in the UK but none I've seen have red on them . Other than that it is great and all other colours are fine
-
Wow, what a beauty. It's so well represented and just looks fantastic!
-
Absolutely beautiful build by the way! Love the industry feel of it!

Tape on PAB cups? I got a mere one sticker on mine and it was beginning to spill the contents on the way home! There is only one employee interacting with customers in my local store in Glasgow, the rest just gossip at the till. By the way, I notice some filled PAB cups behind the till filled with bricks, is this for the employee or what? Just wondering. -
Planning a trip to my nearest Lego store (Glasgow) to get some new bricks a the PAB wall such as these which are going to be very useful! Keep you posted, Spud.

Can anyone give me advice on the bow? I hate the black-slope thing right now.

A stud shooter would certainly be interesting but maybe not to my liking.

What I am planning on doing is making a slanted gun deck (like this one and this one) to make it nice-looking and then some tall masts.

I have always wanted this set, definitely one of the best like Ecbirx said!

166B Hello! This is my first time sharing a creation on Eurobricks so be nice. I have wanted to build a ship for a while but never had the time, in fact, I really couldn't be bothered, but when by prefab hull came in the post, I knew this was something I really wanted to pursue. So here she be: My_First_Ship1 by spud_the_viking, on Flickr Not much just now but a start. The bow needs some work and the back is a bit too shabby to show Comments and Criticisms very welcome and I need some help/ideas to help me out! Hope you like it, Spud PS. Could a mod/admin please move this to MOCs please - sorry please forgive me!

Yes, I was looking earlier but as you said Brickshelf was down It hurts me to hear the word England instead of Britain Just 'coz I am Scottish

British marines wore top hats, didn't they? They do in Empire: Total War Or am I talking rubbish as usual?
-
I suppose I could actually. Redcoats are expensive as well, but I would rather spend my money on them (and make them historically accurate by giving them top hats).
-
What? For them prices?

Expensive and history and even more expensive in Lego, I am finding it very hard to find cheap cannons. I have scoured Bricklink and came up with nothing. Why are they so expensive? I got 3 mid-sections, 2 end-sections and a bow off bricklink for less than £4 so why are cannons like £2 each? I am building my first ever sailing ship and only a few (around 10) cannons would do and I am simply no willing to break the bank on them. Thanks, Spud.
