DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Robert8 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmmm For me obscure characters are those who dont appear regularly on mainstream media, like movies, videogames, TV shows (either animated or not)... if they are character that only appear in comic books, and are not well-known out of them... I would say they are obscure. Mostly because they were not popular enough to make into mainstream media. I know a little bit -just a little- of DC lore and I dont know most of the characters people are wish-listing here. And Im an avid CMF collector but if the series is filled with these obscure characters I dont think I will buy any. And just like me, there will be people who regularly buy CMFs that wont get these simply because we dont know who they are. Also, I already have a Poison Ivy and a Joker minifigures. Even if they are well known characters I wont buy them again because I just dont see the point of getting several versions of the same thing. Or just the same version just with more printing and details. On the opposite, DC and superheroes fans overall, who dont regularly buy CMFs, will get these for sure. The second group needs to be larger than the first one for this series to sell well. That's why I wouldnt expect a lot of these obscure characters people are listing. This has to appeal as much people as possible. And thats where the tricky part comes considering Batman S1 sold well but S2 did very bad..... In TLMB series they did include Mime, Zodiac Master and Calculator because they made cameos in the movie. Just like Watermelon Guy or Hula Lula made into the TLM2 series even if they had like 0.1 seconds of screentime. -
Agree But I just hope they wont go with like a Police Station or Firetruck or stuff that one can find on the City line
-
I just hope they wont go too city here I know that this is supposed to be normal town that is supposed to be haunted but getting the same vehicles or buildings that we get on City would be king of meh... The Dinner is fine because is like a 50s dinner (I guess this is the reason why the Ideas set was rejected) But I wouldnt like getting so City-ish sets

Yeah, one of those 2 is in Series Q. But that will be next October. First let's see if we can collect more thoughts/feedback on Series P

Thanks. Mobile Suit Guy was a minifigure I almost dropped because I thought it wasn't good enough to be a CMF. And, now according to Instagram "likes", he is one of my best lol In the very next one: Series Q. I made some changes to that series as well as a result of what was revealed on Series 19 Bricklayer Pig is in the line, yes! Unfortunately he is listed on Series T/U (I think), so it will be a while before we get there

Fox Woman's tail was shown in TLM2 and is the Rocket Raccoon one I didn't know that chameleon was new.... There is also a chance the shoulder piece from the Bounty Hunter might be new. I know it looks like the Sons of Garmadon one just backwards, but sometimes LEGO releases pieces that are slightly altered versions of other pieces, like the baby head

Can anyone help me make a list of all the new pieces introduced with this series? for what I can see there are 9 new pieces Poop, dog, flamingo, monkey king hair, fox mask, firefighter + hair combo, controller, biker helmet+hair combo, rugby ball Isn't only 9 new pieces kind of low for a regular CMF?

Updated with Series 18 and Series 19

There was also a 4th of July minifigure here, but it had to go due to the rearrange made at last minute after the Series 19 reveal Thanks! Thanks I had the suspicion you would like the Automaton And yeah, that Monster Hunter had been in my mind for years now Thanks for the feeback

Ok my final thoughts now with the official reveal pics 1. Gamer - I like all the torso easter eggs, but I agree it almost looks like he is wearing a pajama. This one could have been a female, because we don't have yet a long hair + headphones combo. The controllor looks ok. Like the hair and the face print 5/10 2. Shower Guy - Nice one. The duckling could have been yellow. Like the facial expressions. Not sure why he has white shorts under the towel. Only white hips could have been enough. 7/10 3. Ghostly Knight - Contender for best one in the series. Armor is great, shield is great, face is great. Plume and sword are cool as well. Wish he had double face 8/10 4. Monkey King - Very weird looking character. That grin is way too creepy. I guess I'm just unfamiliar with chinese lore 5/10 5. Robotics Engineer - Contender for worst in the series. Could have been in a City/people pack set. I find her plain and boring 1/10 6. Mummy Lady - Contender for best one in the series. Both faces are great. Though the one with the real face is a bit silly. All her printing is amazing. Love her! 8/10 7. Adventurer - I'm glad they brought him back. His accesory is kind of a let down. I would like something more Adventurers-like. Maybe the red gem and the solar disc? 7/10 8. Firefighter - She looks ok. These cap+hair combos have been appearing in City sets so, again she looks like a City set minifigure. 5/10 9. Dog Sitter - I'm surprised on how many pieces this minifigure has. 2 dogs, 2 pieces of crap, and a shovel is A LOT. The dogs look great. The minifigure itself is ok. Better than the Robotics Engineer and the Firefighter 7/10 10. Pizza Guy - He looks cool. Very predictable after the Watermelon Guy. Im not sure if I like the face, but the 2x3 tile is great. 6/10 11. Bounty Hunter - Contender for best one in the series! His printing is super. That armor and helmet look great together! I wish the minifigure on the board was a known character and not just a random LEGO guy smiling. Maybe the S7 Galaxy Patrol or the S6 Intergalatic Girl or the S1 Spaceman could have been these. 8/10 12. Retiree - Contender for worst in the series. Other than the flamingo I think she chould have been on any City set. I find her plain and boring 2/10 13. Rugby Player - An ok character I guess. I'm glad to see they are includind more non-traditional sports on these. Rubgy Ball is totally going to be reused for anoter American Football Player 5/10 14. Fox Suit Girl - Contender for best one in the series! What can I say? Love her! Her accesories are wonderful! 8/10 15. Rainbow Bear - I kind of like him better now. The best are this accesories for sure. I still find the mask creepy 6/10 16. BMX Biker - This minifigure is exciting because this means now they can make a Centaur. There are no more excuses for that. Other than that, she is kind of ok. Her color are great. And the helmet+hair will be very useful The bike steals the show! 7/10 Overall this series in like near to the bottom in my rank. Not sure where yet, but bottom 3 for sure. I'd say this series is a 6/10 for me, which is kind of unfortunate because I've been waiting more than 2 years for this. I wish I could say I like it more than what I do. Of course I'll get the 16 to support the regular series. Maybe even some extra Bounty Hunters and Ghostly Knights
-
I wish he had a specific character printed on that board, instead of just a random LEGO minifigure smiling. I mean, good luck finding that guy lol Maybe the S7 Galaxy Patrol or the S6 Intergalactic Girl could have been there. Or even better, a foreshadowing of a upcoming SciFi character from Series 20 But other than that, this is just excellent. Probably the best one of the series

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Robert8 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I know there is a DC characters series rumored for January, but I just cant stop thinking on those leaked faces: the pirate and the SciFi Character (I don't really thinks that's the Bounty Hunter's face).... Where are they from?
