That's something I still cant wrap my mind around. If they know it will look that bad, why do they keep designing minifigures that way? Just use a regular yellow head like the S3 Space Villain. Also, they did print yellow and white on a black head for the S14 Skeleton Guy and it doesnt look as bad as that. Actually, the Skeleton Guy's head looks really good.

Yeah but neither of the current baby molds look like a cookie, so the printed tile looks fine. Its plain like the gingebread people head molds so it fits
-
Hmmm now there is a Gingerbread Baby

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Robert8 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Re-releasing the black suit Superman from SDCC would be PERFECT. And I mean the exact same minifigure. That would show that TLG listen to the fans regarding those exclusives. And also would hit hard the scalpers. Heck, can you imagine if they re-release all the SDCC exclusives in this CMF wave??? -
Thanks DarrellBricker. You always have kind words for my work Well there he is The thing is I wouldnt who he is just by himself. I wouldnt guess he is meant to be Submarine Captain. He needs context. Like a set or a vignette

For a second there I thought Monica was holding the new piece of poop But for real this one looks amazing!

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Robert8 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't know how licensing works, but I think Joaquin Phoenix Joker is a strong contender for this He wouldn' work for an "action set" because he won't be interacting with Batman in the movie. And it would be very strange to have him like piloting a mech fighting against the Batmobile or something. He is a different kind of Joker. And also the movie will be very mature. So, like the Killling Joke Joker in TLBM series, it works as a stand-alone figure out of context -
This is very subjetive because it depends on one's preferences For me, this series is lacking some fantasy/castle characters and it has 3 costumes again like Series 16, Series 17 and TLM2 Series, but I saw someone complaining on IG because this series doesn't have enough "regular city characters from real life like policemen and such" and it wasn't sarcasm so....

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Robert8 replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I never said DC characters are not appealing or interesting. In fact, as I said, I have some DC minifigures I was just trying to say that you can't expect a line-up of obscure characters because it just won't work. Look at Disney, Simpsons and Harry Potter CMFs bags... all the main characters are featured on the bag: Newt, Harry, Homer, Bart, Mickey and Minnie... It will be the same with this series: to appeal a mainstream public, you have to include mainstream characters Who are DC's main characters? Well, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman. (They tried with Green Lantern and Shazam but it just doesnt work) Those have to be in the series somehow. Look at what they did in Disney S2, they had to include Mickey and Minnie somehow, even if that meant pretty much including the same minifigures from the Ideas sets, just with a different sade of gray. I'd would expect a 20 minifigures series -like the Batman movie ones- with 14-16 well known characters: The "main ones" + Joker, Green Latern, Cyborg, Catwoman, Lex Luthor, etc... and the rest can like a handful of obscure characters. That's how I think this will be -
Hmmm no, not really. I'm not sure how that would work as a CMF Thanks Hmmm for a Matching-Costume Dad I remember I had like 3 different costumes that would work with the concept, but I went with the Building/Kong one, because I found it funnier than the others, and it would be like a throwback to the S3 Gorilla Suit Guy. I consider this like a "sequel" to the Clock Tower Guy, because they both present famous buildings: the Big Ben Tower and the Empire State Building The Automaton is reference to "Maria", the robot from Metropolis. In real LEGO, I guess the color would be chrome silver Thanks for sharing your thoughts

They get a lot of bad feedback over the SDCC exclusives every year and they dont seem to care...

Hmmm I wouldn't surprise me if this turns out to be the case....

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Robert8 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah this has to be Vol. II. There is no way they would include all the minifigures from Series 1 to 10 again. It would be gigantic -
I just read the official press release of the theme and Jack Davids and Parker are 13 years old! 13! I remember I asked why they are not using the medium legs, but heck they actually should be using the short ones

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Robert8 replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These are my guesses The whole theme would be a haunted carnival -Carousel: A vintage-looking carousel similar in size to the 10257 one. Part of the decoration could be like clown heads that can be rotated to reveal possesed versions. Also possesed carousel horses, instead of people. They can use the regular horse bodies with a new head with a longer messy mane, similar to the new hairpieces introduced for the theme. -Ferris Wheel: This one would have a gigantic minifigure face, similar to the Disneyland one. Of course, the main feature would be transforming the smiley face into a possesed one. It could like a main boss or something. -Chair Swing Ride: Parker and Jack try to save several Newbury citizens who are tangled in the ride swings -Haunted House: Biggest set of the wave. Even bigger than the school. It would be like those haunted carvinal attractions and you would have to use the app to reveal who are costumed workers and who are actually possesed
