  1. @ PoweredbyNorth: I could be a go-between to allow you to communicate directly with VFracingteam. If you send an e-mail to me at LudersDG@MSN.com , I promise to send a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) to VFracingteam with your e-mail address, and whatever message you want to send him. I'm an American who is not afraid of autobots using my e-mail address for "Junk Mail" -- that's what I pay MSN to filter out for me!
  2. I want to buy another 8052 set, to make this Mobile Crane alternate -- your "4th alternate model of 8052. The mobile crane features steering, stabilizers, rotating superstructure, raising 3 section boom with winch and opening doors."
  3. Your truck looks very capable of manuevering a trailer with precision! If you want to motorize the forward/reverse gear, perhaps there is room to place a Power Functions Medium motor with a Worm Gear on it, to rotate the 24z gear back and forth.... By chance, I was wondering if the trailer going to be the same as Mahjqa's "Trailer for our next ACC [All-Around Car] competition. LXF file here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mahjqa/random/newrandom/trailer.lxf ."
  4. On MOCpages, LUGPol member M_longer (Marek Markiewicz) presented his BIG 1:17-scale Lego Kenworth W900 Dump Truck. He wrote, "The goal was to have fully IR controlled dump truck, which caused lot of troubles due to high mass of tipper bed (over 0,6kg). This model is driven by single XL motor, front wheels are steered by M motor, second axle can be raised by single M motor, and the tipper is raised by XL motor. Total mass ~2,6kg." His shows it in action:
  5. On the bottom of this webpage, Nico71 posted 23 images for his Wheeled Snake photo-sequence Building Instructions. Save them to your computer in reverse order. He included this visual Parts List:
  6. Posted on the LEGO.com TECHNIC Designers Blog today by Jeppe Juul Jensen: "May 8, 2012 "New big LEGO Technic challenge competition this fall" "Hi LEGO Technic fans! "Some of you might wonder if we will start the LEGO Technic challenge soon, as it has been the tradition for the past couple of years. So we want to give you a little update on what you can look forward to this year. "In the LEGO Technic team we are currently working on an exciting new competition, with a grand price never seen before in LEGO Technic history! We know you will love this competition and we can also reveal that it includes a completely new gallery for you to upload and share your fantastic creations. "The competition will launch around October 2012 and we encourage all of your to stay tuned on Technic.lego.com for more information. This also means that we will not launch our usual Technic challenge this spring, since we have much better things to come very soon. "In other news from the LEGO Technic team, we can reveal that we are currently working on our 2013 models, and we are so excited about how cool and awesome they are. Actually so happy that it’s very hard not to show them to you already, but sorry, you will have to wait :) "Have a great day! "The LEGO Technic team."
  7. @ tommywonka: Welcome to Eurobricks! Did you see No Starch Press's description of Sariel's book? Although the concepts and ideas presented may not have a lot of complete, step-by-step Building Instructions and Parts Lists, you could use Bricklink.com ("The Unofficial Lego Marketplace") to buy the necessary parts. Be sure to visit the Bricklink Help Center to learn how it works. The Bricklink Parts Catalog has LOADS of parts you never knew existed!
  8. @ fourlord: Using real bricks and your LDD Building Instructions file, I made ISOGAWA Yoshihito's Lego Technic Fleet-Footed Insect just now. It functions just like the original. I tweaked the Parts List (by adding the Power Functions Battery Box), and replaced the PDF download link above. You did a good job of "reverse engineering"!
  9. @ Thirdwigg: Welcome to Eurobricks! You should come visit this forum more often!
  10. It looks very nice! I like how you have integrated Technic and "Model Team"-type styling. This Race Truck is ready to drive on your VFracing track!
  11. Thanks, fourlord! From your Lego Digital Designer .lxf file above, I created a PDF Parts List (using LDD Manager). It can be downloaded here via SkyDrive. ISOGAWAYoshihito's "Fleet-Footed Insect" requires 154 pieces.
  12. @ Gekke Ted: You're right -- the prices are not that high. This Shapeways Lego-compatible Propeller and Torsen Housing (although not for sale) are interesting: The Lego Test, AirTracks Legos Hub A / Hub B, and Custom 2x2 RightAngle pieces ARE for sale:
  13. Nice size and detail!
  14. @ Omikron: You could try the technique that gor ipsa/ iipsa used to make a large, all-Lego tire profile -- see this Eurobricks post. dhc6twinotter employed that technique on one of his MOCs:
  15. @ Rodeown: Are you talking about something like Halhi 141 did on MOCpages?
  16. @ PoweredbyNorth: Welcome to Eurobricks! You can learn more about VFracing team by seeing his profile on Rebrickable.com: http://rebrickable.com/profile/VFracingteam/details . Look at the very top of this webpage) to contact him. You can get Lego parts (new and used) from Bricklink.com ("The Unofficial Lego Marketplace"). Be sure to see the Bricklink Help Center to learn how it works.
  17. @ Omikron: The 32298 "Black Tire Technic Power Puller" parts are not available anymore from "Lego Direct" (mainly because the 8466 4x4 Off-Roader has not been produced within the past 5 years). They are certainly getting to be very rare (from this meager Bricklink list). If you need 6 of them, be advised that Crtlego said (on this post) that "...they are unusable for Trial Trucks, because their large weight takes way too much power. There are some nice truck designs though, like this one from Zblj":
  18. [bUMP] Look at the SIZE of the Lego Mecanum wheels on this Lego Mindstorms creation (from AFOLCon 2012/The Lego Show, as photographed on domhodgson's Flickr photoset):
  19. On LUGPol, blizzard posted these Lego Technic women's shoes with stiletto heels: In a rough English translation, he wrote: "Shoe is 7 studs wide and this figure seems a bit too small (too narrow), but as I said, I built from what I had....The interior of the shoe is smooth...no animal has suffered in the production, no skin! The design allows the foot to breathe, is airy...." So, if your wife or girlfriend says you spend too much time and money on Lego, you can present her with a pair! She will either (1) Like them since she's a Lego fan too, or (2) Bonk you "upside the head"! See all 7 pictures on blizzardlugpol's Brickshelf gallery. Dream about the model who can wear these shoes (from Street Market's Flickr photostream) and Lego Wigs:
  20. On his Flickr photoset, Adam_Kehoe posted two pictures of a large Hailfire Droid-type Lego Mindstorms creation (seen at AFOLCON & The Lego Show, held in Manchester, UK May 5-7, 2012):
  21. On his Flickr photostream, Mahjqa posted a short Flickr video on how to "...decorate the Tachikoma eye domes. The stuff you see are 'Decadry' letter sheets. The stuff is intended for paper, but sticks pretty well to (clean) plastic. All brought you by the letter 'Å'."
  22. Spiderbrick/ pabloalvarezcr posted this showing his Lego Technic Black Porsche Turbo S model's features:
  23. ISOGAWAYoshihito posted this of his Lego Technic "Fleet-Footed Insect" -- see more on his website. You may be able to "reverse-engineer" it (from the single picture), and make one to scare somebody!
