  1. @just2good: When can we expect the final pictures?
  2. Well I guess it's time. :(
  3. Thanks for the great review. The set is nice and not as bad as expected but one of these Iron Hill dwarves would have been great. But I know...another mold
  4. I'm not really a fan of modified or painted pieces but in some cases I can understand it. The famous "boat mast rigging long 28 x 4" in light bluish gray is very expensive. I have three of them in reddish brown and will probably paint them for my 10719 UCS MF.
  5. That would be great, but I highly doubt this will happen. Let's hope someone will produce good custom parts and we can create our own minifigs.
  6. One of the designers from the Lego LotR/Hobbit design team is on facebook but I never asked him about new LotR sets. Why? Because I know he can't talk about it.
  7. Yes and I know that new molds are expensive and we only get a certain amoung of them in every set/wave. But a higher profit margin doesn't mean that the set is a bigger success. It must be profitable AND interesting for the target group.
  8. I think the second wave was meant to be more interesting for kids as well but ultimately it was uninteresting for both, kids and AFOLs. Every time I see a "Pirate Ship Ambush" set in a store I think about the (in)famous "kids love ships" quote from the designer video. My response is: "Well, maybe. But what I REALLY liked as a kid was to recreate my favourite scenes from a movie." I think dragons (fell biest) and sodiers (Gondor) are also appealing for kids but would have been more interesting for AFOLs (and people who aren't fans of the movies but who are castle fans).
  9. What they did with LotR isn't just sad, it's almost unexcusable.
  10. Do you think it would have been possible for TLG to release LotR sets in October as well? That's what they did with Star Wars this year. We got the regular wave and two additional sets with a different box.
  11. I hope the Microfighter AT-AT will get a lbg/lbg lever! They are already very expensive and this would be a cheap way to get them.
  12. You're right! Old Bilbo would be nice. I just hope it's not another young one.
  13. And the minifig will be another Bilbo :D
  14. Thanks! ;) But I hope you used the report button.
  15. A UCS Minas Tirith is very, very unlikely (especially because of the minifigs) but at the moment I just want them to know that there are still many LotR fans out there.
  16. Something like a coffee bar would make sense (but we already have the CC). I don't think the Detective Agency will be a modern building because it would look strange next to the other Modulars. The PC was already criticized because of this. I hope it will be like the PS (big and reasonably detailed). @merman: An icecream salon sounds great!
  17. The size of the new modular will be interesting. The PR looks a bit "slim" (compared to the PS) but it has great details and interiors. I hope it will be a bit bigger with less interiors because it is easy to build a sofa, chair or bed.
  18. The set is still overpriced but at least Smaug is really cool!
  19. Talk is cheap...
  20. Yes. The SWR Stormtrooper is one of the most useless minifigures ever.
  21. That was more like a rhetorical question. I was trying to say that it's completely normal to get three minifigs and 100 bricks for this price.
  22. Why? That's a normal price for three minifigures and you get a few useful bricks. Did we ever get more than that in a licensed set for this price?
  23. It's worth the price but you could wait until October when you'll get double VIP points. I don't know if TLG will ever reduce the set.
  24. Thanks for the pictures!
