Did you REALLY believe that we will get a LotR Ideas set??? I think it was absolutely clear that they reject the project. IF they release a Minas Tirith set then they will do what they did with the Sandcrawler and Helicarrier. (Rejecting the Ideas project and releasing a regular set)

But the waves would have been better... :D

"Officially alive" doesn't mean that one should expect new products. There is a difference between officially alive and actually alive ;). But Dimensions shows that it is hard to predict the actions of TLG.

Sounds strange but officially yes. Or do you mean that a theme is officially dead when TLG still sells sets from this theme? I can't recall the exact words but they basically meant that they won't produce LotR custom parts as long as it is unsure what TLG does with the theme. Most people probably wouldn't buy custom Gondor helmets or Witch King helmets when there is a version from TLG on the market...

Sorry, official wasn't the right word. But at the moment there is still a LotR set in the stores so it is still "officially alive". ;) And you never know what Lego plans. NEVER! :D

I don't know but I heard that they were still waiting for the official end of the theme. But Dimensions might change that...

I think the eyebrowns are asymmetric and when I look at his goggles (frame) I can see two stripes but the old version has two dots next to his eyebrowns.

I'm very sure it is indeed a new Echo Base. Look at this video https://www.youtube....h?v=7Rfi4RQMFKM It shows new parts and prints for 2015 and you can see a Medical droid (at 1:26) and something that looks like the May 4th Han Solo (at 3:02). But it isn't Han Solo!

I don't have a Cloud City Boba but I'm sure this is a replica. As Mr Greeble already said the print shouln't be so precise and the belt is totally different. I hope you can bring him back!

Same here. I ordered a few minutes earlier and my order (Sandcrawler) hasn't been shipped yet. :(

I don't know if this has already been mentioned here but in the latest Lego Store catalogue which came out in January (not the regular retailer catalogue) the DS has already been labeled as "limited".

This project will probably the next one: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70260 It already has 8200 supporters and received another 427 days I don't believe we will get a LotR Ideas Set but Ideas is an important source of information for Lego. The projects might be rejected but I'm sure they think about releasing an official LotR set. At least they still have the license Even if we don't get new sets there is still a chance to get new minifigures in the Fun Packs!

I agree. 10 % sounds like a bit like joke but unfortunately the Sandcrawler isn't available anywhere else:( If you get Yularen for less than 13,75 € it is better to order at TRU (As long as you don't need the poster)

They released new Castle and LotR sets at the same time...But I don't think this is likely either. Another D2C set (Minas Tirith) and new minifigs (Fun Packs) is all I'd like to get from Lego at the moment. A new wave? Amazing, but unlikely.

This is really strange...We didn't get ANYTHING from LotR in the last two years and it looked as if they were trying to get rid of this whole Middle Earth theme as soon as possible. But now it's quite a big part of a new Lego video game. I mean even if kids like what they see they can't even buy the sets anymore.

I believe we will rather get a Lego Friends Abortion Clinic than new LOTR minifigures... I'm a huge fan of this theme but I don't expect anything else anymore.

I don't believe they will release a new DS in the next years. The updated minifigures are the only reason why we would need a new version and some of the most important characters will be included in the new Final Duel. Why would they make this set if a new DS is comming?
