  1. I just was reading a list of someone's reviews on SAH and I noticed that they had a review of 7738. But under the review, it said "This item is no longer available". So I went to the page and it was still able to be purchased! I think Coast Guard will be completely phased out by the end of 2010.... Considering that the platform and truck with speedboat have been removed, that only leaves four sets, not including promos.
  2. I just realized that I forgot to include a vehicle! I will probably include two taxis, but I'm blank. Any ideas?
  3. he new city corner has a 7-Eleven Convenience store, Lego Retail store, and a re designed bus stop. You get two shop keepers, father and son, and a policewoman buying her morning mug of coffee. The shop design was inspired by Klaus-Dieter's Lego Store. Notice the pigeons on top. Inside the Lego Retail store, we have a check out counter, Pick a brick wall with cups and lids, city sets [only!] for sale on the second floor, and the inventory in the third floor [the attic]. In the 7-Eleven convenience store we have fresh fruit hanging on a wall, slushy machine with cups and two flavors [blueberry and cherry], and a checkout desk with a coffee maker, croissant stove, and cash register. The bus stop is nothing special, just a bench (recolor of the bench from the City Minifigure collection) under a shade awning with a big, leafy plant. --- How much does it cost, you ask? It weighs in at about $105.00 USD!
  4. Hey guys and gals! To go along with the BBQ stand and Ice-cream stand from the airline promotional set (I own both, I got the promo from Lufthansa World Shop), I have designed a more healthy alternative: A lemonade and and Fresh banana stand! Enjoy! Full view of the stand. Includes cash register, lemonade tap, and refrigerator with two bananas. Inside of the refrigerator... The two bananas. Final shot with all the stands and their respective owners. --- This MOC is made with only eight pieces.
  5. Now if only we could get a smart roadster... [The Smart Roadster is a variation of the regular Smart.]
  6. Because, during the Holiday season, airline pilots are very busy because almost everyone wants to go see their relatives, it you know what I mean.
  7. Does the garage (7642) cost more than the passenger train (?) in your area?
  8. I meet the requirements. I also am a great writer. [Will this help me?] I also have great photo-editing and graphics design skills. I would like to join.
  9. Wow, I'm gone for 8 hours and a whole page appears. Well, lets get to work.. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to dramatize this, no matter how immature it may seem. I think TLC put the T-Junctions and Quad-Junctions in with the curved and straits because no one wanted to buy them. I mean honestly TLC, two roadplates for $14.99 USD? No problem Klaus. I don't get why everyone was saying that the train was too expensive (not saying you said it, Klaus) for toy stores and other shops. The Passenger Train is $89.99 and the 7642 Garage is $99.99 USD, yet it's in every Toy store and Target (it's a shop in the US) in my area. ??? Seconded. TLG need to go back to this beautiful style of work: I mean, that was a beauty. Two cabins, and seats with tables ontop, making a double decked pice of art. No cons at all. The interior wasn't that bad- It had plenty of seats, E-Check-in machine, detailed Cafe, and a rooftop with table and chairs. I agree with your thoughts about the architecture of the station though, Klaus. Agreed. In fact, I kind of like the Police and Fire line -I own both stations and while they may <insert that tiresome argument> they have a lot of accessories and columns. Also, the police station has a lot of detail. But recently TLC has gone overboard - I mean, what kind of police force operates Pontoon planes... And what kind of Fire Department operates hovercrafts? That is why me and Klaus we are so hard on these themes- While Fire and Police have gotten so much resources thrown at them, from marketing to money to design, Civilian sets are lackluster ( take a look at this year's camper, 7642 Garage, etc.) and are poorly designed most of the time. The only exceptions I can think of are 7641 City Corner, 10184 Town Plan, all of the modular houses, and 10199 Winter Toy Shop. Agreed.
  10. Creator sets have closed backwalls and look strange in a town full of facades. Plus they always have great exteriors, but very bad interiors, typically including only something redundant like a fireplace. I have never seen one of those Garage (7642) sets off the shelf [missing] in my local TRU, and trust me, because I go there every week. Kids obviously don't want this set, because it is overpiced at $100.00 USD. I just wish TLC went back to making every type of building imaginable- i.e. the heyday of Classic Town -.... Those were the days.
  11. True, true. On sale would be very nice. I plan to put it next to my 7747 Wind Turbine. I read your review, The Brickster. It has some nice photo-editing talent. Do you use Photoshop or GIMP 2? I am also getting this set for the variety of animals. You get two cows, dog, mouse, and a cat! Never before have I seen this much variety of animals in a single set. I'm also buying it promptly because I'm afraid TLC might stop production of this set, which would be horrible considering it is the best farm series set out of all of them.
  12. Hi Eurobricks guys and gals! Today I saw a TRU ad in my local newspaper stating that all LEGO sets that they have were either on sale or 30% off. My question is, now that the price is knocked off a bit, is it worth it? I mean 600 pieces is really expensive for $89.99! Legoliner Pilot P.S.- I just saw that I'm a "citizen" now. Yay!
  13. There has been a Modular house released this year (the Fire Brigade), so I see no possibility of another.
  14. Yeah, its old. Its been out for at least two weeks. I updated the gallery- [When moderated] It is the largest gallery of 2010 CITY sets and includes every image that has existed on the internet of Lego City 2010 sets.
  15. By the way, all of the pictures of the 2010 CITY sets up to this point plus some new images can be view in this folder of my Brickshelf gallery. I enlarged some of the preliminary images to 369x295 pixels for better viewing and sharpened them for better clarity. Enjoy! Note: Some of the thumbnails appear to be distorted color-wise. This is because I made the white backgrounds transparent (I made it so that you cannot see it). Just click on them to see the non-distorted image.
  16. Agreed, Klaus! We need more civilian buildings. I don't want to get so desperate as to which I buy the Construction site set just to get another building for my town [the sad is that I almost bought it just for the building but the release of the Winter Toy Shop saved me $100.00 USD]! All in all, the 2010 city sets are very disappointing. Sure, we will get a few cool vehicles such as the Smart and the tanker, or maybe even the repair truck, but now the only structures we are getting are a pig pen (), lackluster airport, and an upgraded 7945 () . I don't get why Lego releases so many vehicles for the CITY line yet so little actual buildings. Sure, the vehicles are great, but vehicles don't make up a town, structures do. We have cars, but cars are used to drive somewhere, yet our minifigures have nearly no buildings to go to. If you ask me, the Road rescue line was a complete, utter failure. Private companies don't scope out traffic jams and disasters, the police do. [At least in the US they don't.] You don't transport helicopters on a semi truck unless they are unable to fly, and the motorcycle was just as useless. The Garage came with a lot of accessories, but it was open air and lacking good interior, specifically the office. The only decent set was the tow truck. We are returning to 2006, I'm afraid.
  17. I have some more ideas! Right now trees are a bit hard to get in vast quantities. What if TLC made a tree pack? That would simply be !!! It would be $14.99 USD. You would get 8 pine trees and 8 fruit trees, shown below:
  18. What is the confirmation?
  19. Here is some sets that also need remakes ... All of these (sorry if picture heavy!) were very good sets!
  20. Hello members of Eurobricks! I recently found the power functions part of Lego SAH very intriguing, and I decide to buy the following items so I can motorize my Wind Turbine from 7747 Wind Turbine transport: Can anyone offer a few general guide to motorizing? I'm kind of new to power functions ...
  21. The male caroler still has an Airline uniform torso!
  22. What I don't get about the confidential pictures is that if they were meant to be "confidential" why are they in the public domain of toy shops? Obviously they aren't confidential any more.
  23. Look likes a underground muscle car fitted with mining tool to me. Not bad, not bad.
  24. One way to do that is to attach a pulley to a high point on two walls, and align a string through the pulley. I saw this on a YouTube video. I will get the link to it later.
