We assumed my protection worked on night four, but I'm less convinced now that we haven't seen a kill in four days. Things is, I protected Toki last night. So it's not like they've just been trying in vain to kill any of the block, at least not last night. It's actually been six days now.

"Now that I think about it, we can probably just fall back into the forest a little bit, go straight east, then loop around to the jail wall and try breaking it down like I planned. The Star Elves' armor will slow them down, especially in the woods, they won't be able to catch us." Miderun reaches out to try and grab the demon by the back of his collar. "You're not going anywhere, Nalsuuln. Bain said we ought to stick together. Weak or strong, dumb or not, demon or orc, you're coming with us." She leads the party back into the forest a bit, then heads east to try and loop around, whether or not Germ is with them or not. Up to the QM whether this works or not. -
I don't think Marvel even needs FF/X-Men/Spidey. They've done pretty damn well without them so far. They're probably content to wait it out until the movies become so invariably terrible that Fox won't even bother trying to keep the rights. Isn't that sort of what happened with Daredevil already?
-
I'm guessing they wouldn't lose their conversion unless it worked, though. Isn't that usually how it goes?
-
Not really, no.
-
Maybe they've been trying to convert us but they can't convert someone with a night action this time around, and that's why it's taken so damn long? Anyone in the town block would make a good conversion target, but we all have night actions...

Sorry, I swear I updated yesterday... "That's him. It sure sounded like it, but I'll tell you what, they were probably asking for it, whatever it was." The ogre scratched his arm. "Look, you seem like a decent man, just try and be discreet about your weapons and you can go on in. I don't mind heroes, meself." "That Goldjaw fellow over there." "Nah, no...no good getting piss drunk...it'll just...make every...last damn thing my daughter said about me and m'friends true..." Red sighed and rubbed his eyes. "Plus it ain't much becoming of a cleric to be drinkin' like this. What if somefin happens and I gotta be healin' my pals over there? I'm fine, but...thanks, friend, really." The man Annienal squeezed past fell out of his chair. "SHEHASASWORDSHE'SGONNAKILLME!" "Briar, please, calm down for two seconds?!" The werebunny at the bar looked incredibly stressed out at how busy the Locale was at the moment and wiping up Briar's spilled drink off the counter. "What? Sure, here's out menu." She passed Annienal a small list of drinks. Lady Luck's Locale Mountain's Punch (Gives the drinker the lucky and inspired effects, as well as all the job traits of a Barbarian Chieftain for the duration of one battle) - 50 gold Miracolada (Gives the drinker the blessed effect, as well as the job traits of a High Cleric for the duration of one battle) - 30 gold Gold Dragon (Gives the drinker the job traits of a Guardian Knight for the duration of one battle) - 20 gold Mead (Gives the drinker the encouraged-effect for the duration of one battle) - 10 gold "That'll be 30 gold. And yes, that's the idea. I'm Diamond, for example." "While I am Aquamarine!" "There's typically nine of us at any given time."

I was wrong and you were right, damn. Nothing so elaborate as the last one, but I have some observations. Agnar and Toki were each tracked after Darr's death. Neither of them did anything. After four scum deaths (most significantly the death of their killer) you'd think if they were scum too they would've inherited something. It's possible they just wised up after they realized there was a blocker and tracker (and an investigator, as far they knew) still running around. Petr obviously wasn't killing Toki. I guess the assumption is that Petr converted him. (Don't know why it would've taken so long, but....) We don't have much to go off of at this point. Barring an incriminating tracking result I guess lynching him is probably the next logical course of action.
-
Well, it seems I was completely and utterly mistaken about Petr. More importantly, you've tracked everybody that's left.

What exactly are the blacked out portions on this map? Is it all forest? -
I don't really understand the question. Regardless of if they choose one target or two targets, two individual strikes are always taking place. So if you were attacking a Vermin, and you got a Dual Hit, your fire-elemental sword's attack would do double damage, while your wood-elemental dagger would do nothing. Shoot, I thought I was posting in the rules discussion.

"I hate to say this, but charging into this prison will be bad. Like Bain says, we should just grab Eckmar and go." "Maybe with my Amethyst Elnath can whip up some kind of darkness spell near the ground around tower A. It's dark anyhow, the guards won't notice, and it'll let us slip right past them from the north." Miderun draws a line along the map with her finger. "Then we move along the cliffside, around to the back of the pen..int...the jail, and then break in through the wall with pickaxes and shovels. There's an indent in the wall, maybe it's weak there." "If he's not in the jail with the rest of the prisoners, then we can try riling up the prisoners for an uprising and use it as a distraction to check the treatment place and the dungeon. They will not last long, but it's better than dying a prisoner." -
The man was dressed similarly to a monk or a priest, but his crook looked more suited to bashing than to healing. One drained mug was left at his feet, but he swayed where he sat nonetheless. The gelatinous green phlegman next to him gave Mortimer an almost grateful, as the man seems to have been been mumbling about his life story for some time. "-it's...then...no, firs' I lost the job, and then we ran outta money. Thingsh're not looking good for us, so but she said, to me, she said, 'I believe in you', and just, just look- where'm at now, okay? Is this- does she, believed right, or-" "Yep, it sure does, look, Big Red, a visitor." "Wha?" the cleric, 'Big Red', looked up at Mortimer. "Having Amethyst here tonight, she's, she listens, and she don't- there's no, it's not like..." the man closes his eyes blearily, then reaches for his drink before remembering it's empty. "...damn it...damn it all. Looksir. This is my annervashury, and I just, I just want to forget...no, I just want to drink, 'til it's tomorrow, and then it won't be. But Reg decided he needed the two elves, so I don't...have enough, to forget. Okay. That's....right?" "...he's...usually not like this." Amethyst shrugged. "Usually more comprehensible. And less drunk. One of the more respectable patrons, that hangs around some other, less-than-respectable ones..." "A few of the working girls. That leprechaun's always here far as I can tell. I think the wererabbit working the bar is in charge when the madame isn't around...which she usually isn't, at first." The ogre gave Kellim a weary look. "You have no idea. Dealing with those Wolfgangers is a job in itself when they decide to come around. Funny though, they weren't in such high spirits when they came in. I've seen a lot of depressed men come through here lad, but I've never seen the wind taken out of Reg's sail like that." "Mmm?" The redheaded fairy turned while precariously balancing a few empty glasses and one full bottle of wine on her tray. "Sorry, you'll have to talk to Diamond down there if you want to order something. If you do, though, I'd suggest the Mountain's Punch, or maybe a Gold Dragon, or the Miracolada. Normally I'd suggest the Doom's Daquiri, but, um, it shaves years off your life, and I hear humans don't actually have that many."

Well, actually, that depends on the size of the set. Most of mine are like two walls and a floor, at best.
-
I take all mine on the corner of a desk and brighten it up in post, it's not as important as you think. I almost want to show a before-and-after picture of one of my sets. They aren't great when I take them.
-
"Not sure. It'd have to be something small...seems like sacrilege to you barbarian types, I know." "Seems risky...there's no guarantee he'd even let us inside to handle it." "Of course." The ogre's eyes seemed to soften at the young elf's diplomatic tone, taking her other weapons and setting them down behind him. "Fine, fine. Suppose a young lass like yourself wouldn't cause much ruckus anyhow..." The bouncer looked over at the rest of the party. Avina held her hands up, evidently having been able to hide her dagger. "Right, you're good too." The ogre looked over at Calamity, Mortimer, and Kellim. "You three have an issue with our policy, we can't let you in, sorry. Are you disarming or not?" The three of them were left to sort out their weapons situation while Avina followed Annienal just inside. Lady Luck's Locale was busier than ever considering it was only just in the afternoon. The air was very warm, and thick with stench of countless different forms of alcohol permeated the air, amongst other scents, which varied wildly in being better or worse. It was hard to keep track of what was going on, and the heroes could barely hear themselves think with all the chattering, drinking, and wenching going on. "I've never seen this place so busy...this complicates things." She pointed out the black-haired man with a drunken smile full of golden teeth, flanked on either side by an elf that looked ready to attack the other. "That's our man, but he looks busy, and that's on top of all of this noise. Seems like everyone's been drinking themselves silly...we ought to try and talk around and pinpoint any potential threats before trying to interrogate Goldjaw." Avina looked over the brothel calculatingly as if trying to play out a potential battle in her head. "If this goes sour, not only are we under-armed, but we'll be outnumbered by every sleazy drunk in the place. We'll be in a much better position if we know beforehand who's dangerous and who's not."

Heroica RPG - Quest #132: The Clans Under the Mountain

"We're heroes. That's kinda our thing." Atramor tilted his hat. -
Why are you even asking this? If you're telling the truth, then you know the answer: he's lying. There's not really an in-between or an argument to be made, as far as I can tell.
-
What kind of perspective are you expecting? If you tracked him and he targeted someone then, well, obviously he's lying. What do I add to that? I've pointed out the only real alternative a million times. I don't like dealing with stuff that happens outside of the game in the context of the game anyway. My question was more geared towards "if Petr does come up scum and the game doesn't end, what then?"
-
If I wasn't adamant about it I wouldn't've bothered sharing it, look how much arguing is involved. Well, I'm assuming the game ends tonight, but things are definitely gonna be interesting if it doesn't.
-
Why would Agnar be on the chopping block. Hasn't Toki been pretty much on our radar for the entire game? Wouldn't he be the next logical choice to look at? Even if I'm completely right I'm incapable of doing anything about it if nobody agrees with me. I'm not going to be uncooperative for the hell of it. Unless Petr is town and the game continues into tomorrow. That'd be pretty great. I'm saying that since we seem to be going along with Pudding-Head's idea of a plan, we still have no clue what the scum have been up to, because he can't come up with an explanation for it, nobody in the town block can, nobody outside of the town block can, and my only real explanation if that Pudding is scum. So if he's not, then I have no goddamn idea, and neither does anyone else.
-
Fair enough. It looks like Petr's going to be lynched, but I still want to dissect Crane's logic in where the heck most of this is coming from.
-
So... What I'm gathering is we're still at square one in terms of "what have the scum been doing". And yet he was your first suggestion to Tarr to target?
-
Or, like I suggested in my theory, there never was a claim. Remember how Pudding was all depressed over Lauga not getting day-killed by vengeful Tarr? It seemed like he was trying to get her silenced as soon as possible, to me.
-
Because I think lynching Petr will lead to the game ending tonight. I guess we'll see.
