"Perhaps, but this is business I don't want your nose in. The Sewer Wolves don't need your help, we can handle our own-" "Your absurd pride is of no consequence to us." "I wasn't talkin' to you." "I was talking to you. This is a waste of time, Mortimer," insisted Avina. "Those things don't know what they were messing with. We'll teach them a lesson when we're done here. The old gang? It broke up long before they hit us...Heroica killed most of them, now that I think about it," snarled Reg.

"-ether-sucking, tree-hugging b- wait, excuse me?" "You're hardly in any position to-" "You heard the man, ladies. The party is over." Reg stood up, sucking down the last dregs of his mug before slamming it down onto the table. Emerald and Topaz backed off, looking quite affronted. "What's going on over there?" remarked Diamond, frowning over at the scene. "Private talk. No better place for it. Look, heroes, I know you like being the good guys, but me and my boys, we can handle our own business. Why don't you back off and forget we talked about this, huh?"

Reg's gold-lined grin fell away at once, and soured into a frown. "Why? What do you know about it?" Briar started somewhere over by the bar, but Reg shot him a glare that sent the nervous man stumbling off his seat again, turning back to Mortimer. "...how do you know about the machines? Is this some kind of-" His eyes flicked from one party member to the next, and Reg sat up straighter. "-wait. You're not mercs." "He asked you a question." "What, because I'm not working with you this time, you think you heroes can waltz in here for an interrogation?"

The fairy looks rather indignant. "There are rules here that've been in place for hundreds of years, miss. Few people still alive could even think about questioning them." "Sorry chap, not in much of a stories mood. I paid good money to have a good time with these ladies, and if they're havin' it out over me, well, that's a good enough time for me...now, really, you're in my way." Reg leaned back in his chair and took another sip of his drink as Topaz and Emerald continued arguing loudly. Avina shoots the three heroes a look that they can safely assume is an impatient one from under her mask. She didn't seem very pleased with their manner of going ahead, gloved fingers flexing somewhere near the daggers hidden in her cloak.

Then I guess I should've just kept my mouth shut and blindly trusted you up until this point? I pushed a theory until I realized I couldn't win anybody over and used my one night action to ensure we maybe had a chance if I was right. Clearly I wasn't. I'm just glad I got everyone to doubt the block earlier because I believe Agnar is town and somebody on the inside has to be either scum or SK. I told you we'd all end up turning on eachother.
-
Block Petrus tonight. While Pudding-Head's staring mouth agape at my coming up town, just lynch Petrus.
-
That's one of my one main issues with Endgame quests. Nothing you do is going to matter because even after killing your enormously hyped-up boss the next is just going to come along and say "what, oh that guy? He had no relevance whatsoever. I'm the REAL big bad, and this is MY scheme..." How much farther could you possibly go than what Immortalis claims to be?
-
And yet all of us are still alive. Lauga was getting killed that night, and the entire block knew it. So, why didn't I bus you and Lauga? Petrus murdering you would've ruined the block.
-
Why didn't I bus you and Laugi on Night Seven, Pudding-Head? There's my logic as of two days ago, if you're wondering why I've been so all over the place in trying to figure things out. I wanted to try and figure things out early BEFORE we came dangerously close to losing, but even after lynching two scum in a row we're still teetering on the edge here. I said like a dozen times that I told Crane to block Petrus. I thought he was up until he mentioned off-handedly that "he can't track if he's blocked" AFTER the day had started. Now I know how frustrated you were two days ago. You're coming up with theories that maybe answer the past few days (if you overlook some glaring inconsistencies) but you have absolutely no explanation for how I haven't been using this role to ruin the entire town block that I've been a part of since, what, day three or four?
-
Why would Cranebeinn try and get a scum win if he's a neutral?
-
The timestamps don't lie. And I don't think Calamity understands what conversion is.
-
And conversion only works if you're actually, you know, converting someone, not just bossing them around.
-
"Hah, certainly is. Usually isn't this loud, but these gals here can't seem to decide one way or the another who should have the honor of entertaining old Reg." Briar was still cowering away from Kellim...but was watching the heroes questioning Reg with worry, and glancing between him and Big Red, the cleric on the ground, intently. "Our argument does not concern you, human, and it is NOT amusing." "I beg to differ on that, sweetheart." Reg sipped his drink. Calamity's conversion didn't seem to be working, as there was no 'conversion' going on at all. "Huh? Sorry, nobody b- nobody's allowed to have weapons in here."

It seems just like Diplomacy or Intimidation with a different flavor.
-
I foresaw this day coming and I got an early start on considering every possible option. That includes you being scum. Why would I resist Petr's lynch so hard if according to your theory I was apparently able to convert him without any issue whatsoever without him? Or wait, is your new theory that we were all part of a second scum team that simply didn't have a kill? Vote: Petrus Fire-Starter (Pandora). I'm thinking that he's the SK and that we've got all the scum. And as Crane said (and as I said many times in our group PM) we are the past the point of needing a killer around, ESPECIALLY an unconfirmed one. You're not even considering that I could be scum anymore, Pudding-Head. You've complete tunnel-vision because of the fact that I was willing to consider you being scum. Why would I push for Petr being tracked if I was scum? Why would I have protected you for three days in a row if I was scum?? You're trying to line up a theory that ends with me being scum, which is exactly what I was doing to you on Day Seven. I'm thinking that both of us have been mistaken. Pudding-Head, if you're right and I've been scum the entire game, how on EARTH is the ENTIRE TOWN BLOCK still alive or not completely converted???
-
Makes sense. Can I assume you now think there have to be two scum targeting one guy in the same night to actually convert him? That seems like the kind of line of thinking you'd go for.
-
I have no idea why. It was right after I told him if you were concerned my actions you should track me. He said that you couldn't track if you were blocked. It's possible he was just trying to mislead me into claiming I targeted someone else. What's the conflicting claim? If Petrus didn't do anything then he wouldn't know whether he'd've been blocked or not. Agnar obviously wouldn't know either.
-
I think that he implied to me that he had blocked you....after the day went up. I didn't notice the implication until I looked back just now. Yet you claimed to have tracked me targeting Toki...but only claimed as much after I had said so in public. There is something weird there.
-
"Oh man, I don't want a stroke. WAIT, SPIDER?! Where??" "Oh for- there's no spider, Briar." Aquamarine shot Kellim a rather dirty look. "There's no need to tease him." "Just being realistic. The Crown rarely has the opportunity to deal with reasonable people. It's a measure we often must go to, don't act as though you haven't done the same." The group moves over to Reg Goldjaw, and his two elven companions, who at this point are nearly shouting at eachother. "-and this 'trick' of mine is simply accentuating the magical subtleties of MY people, it's hardly my fault you lack the knowledge or capacity for-!" "-don't give one damn about you, YOUR people, OR your ridiculous parlor tricks, but when you use them to steal MY customers, then yes, it's ENTIRELY your fault, Emerald, and-!!" "-the craft of magic that stems from CENTURIES of magic use, something that you conspicuously seem to lack, Topaz, UNLESS, perhaps you're smearing the good name of our people because you're only HALF of what we TRULY are-" "-you can't just waltz in, flip your here, whip up a spell, and expect to snatch away MY regulars, it's obvious you have NO skill at all in this line of work, you needn't hold yourself ABOVE me, you superior, wanton skank-!" "-it would certainly explain your COMPLETE absence of refinement, you brazen, half-blooded whore-! "-haughty, shameless slut-!" Reg Goldjaw sipped his mug nonchalantly and looked over at the heroes from his spot ensconced between the two arguing elves. His mouth spread into a gold-lined grin. "Ah, there something you need, friends? You're distracting me a bit from the show."

"Seems we'll just have to charge in and hope for best." Miderun frowned, and sipped a Mead, wincing a little as the drink burned its way down her throat. "I liked to think I learned my lesson after last time. Looks like I was wrong...but I think we'll live." "Don't think after your gods. They are all beyond us in more ways than we can know. When Tarokai died many orcs abandoned Tarok. But now his favor has taken mercy upon us again. Ev okuul ei okal dal Tarok azh ezka iiv, caz ev giv, et caz ev gir. Your survival is up to you, but from what I have seen you must earn the favor of you god." -
That's true, but we haven't any counterclaims the entire game, for any of our roles. Even if the scum had a day rolecop, they haven't exactly been able killing anyone with a role they found. I never claimed to Pudding-Head, and I never had any intention to. He tracked me targetting Crane after he had to claim to Pudding in private to keep from being lynched. That's the thing that bothers me. Why am I protector if the scum have been doing next to nothing with their kill? Would there really be a protector if they could go crazy with conversions? I think they were just been scared of being tracked and haven't been out killing.
-
I protected Cranebeinn. Six scum is a lot. Have there ever been seven? Maybe it actually was just me protecting your stupid face from Night Five to Night Seven. I really don't know anymore.
-
"Hah, Cammie'd sooner burn this place ta the ground than sell it ta the Wolfers." Sapphire returned a moment later with a fresh mug of Mead. Bo broke off from Calamity and inhaled the beverage, belching loudly and slumping back against the wall, apparently having finally hit his limit and tiring almost immediately. "That should do it." "Whew! Thanks for the drink. I'm surprised, Bo usually seems to drink just enough to be constantly angry, and never enough to end up passed out..." "His drink usually isn't spiked. Thanks for the help, miss." Diamond slid Kellim a Mead across the bar. Briar looked up at the barbarian man nervously. "Wh-What? Bugs?! Oh!! Right, no, just, I'm always a bit-" Briar twitched. "a bit, a bit, a bit jumpy these days, just a bit." "He's right. Desperation breeds hostility." "I think we've managed to peg down everyone who'll be supporting Reg. The zombie and his companion are gone...I'll have to write up a file on that necromancer woman. Briar's with Reg, as is the priest, but he's supposedly a pacifist. It seems our black mage has disabled the leprechaun. Perhaps it's time we have a chat with Goldjaw." Avina crossed her arms and glanced perhaps a bit critically at Mortimer and Annienal. "And we can't afford to be catering to this rogue's fancies. We need this information, whatever it takes. We need details on the attack, we need to know what we're up against. Reg's going to spill his guts. One way, or another."

That's my line of thinking, but wyverns are typically depicted as almost chicken-like in their build. Smaug had the body of a wyvern but his proportions were more akin to the traditional European dragon. . Come on you amateurs, it's like none of you have ever seen a real dragon before...

Miderun frowns and stares at the magic wall. She didn't like such enchantments just...lying around on every other object. "Everyone, be ready if anyone walks out here." She muttered. "Elnath, does the seal do anything?"
