The bridge battle could've been done better in hindsight, but it would've been the least climatic thing ever if you managed to talk everyone down.

Kellim doesn't see any apparatus they can reach to disable the barrier. It's likely that the ether core in the device is powering it, but it's behind the barrier itself. More worrying is that the ether core, the barrier, and the genie lamp encased in some strange machine appear to be linked. Several Vibrataphones, smashed from being thrown to the ground by the upended table, are scattered across the floor. Avina starts poking around the machines. Calamity finds a few research records. It's hard to discern it through all the technobabble, but it appears that the scientists ('Threi Havloc' being one of them) were working on developing soundproof materials. Study has suggested that it may be possible to muffle sound when certain elements are introduced into materials making up walls - like houses can be insulated against the cold, walls can also be insulated against sound. Naturally the applications for such a technology would be significant. We have received appropriate funding and have acquired several Vibrataphones with sample music rolls that can mimic various pitches of volume. We must ensure even the loudest of noises cannot penetrate the materials we are researching. Pages of various experiments - all listed as having failed - follow, until one entry dated only a few days ago. None of the materials we have experimented on have been able to muffle sound. It is possible Doctor Legonardo has access to such materials but our research isn't nearly significant enough to warrant a distraction from his current work. We have abandoned our efforts in finding readily available soundproof materials for the moment...however, we do have other methods. One of our suppliers obtained a used Lamp of Summoning alongside a fresh supply of ether cores. Raw ether has its uses, but very old magic such this can have an extensive variety of applications....the djinn that inhabits the lamp, however, is being uncooperative, stating that he has fulfilled his 'three wishes' and merely wishes to sleep. Cooperation does not seem to be essential however, as we've borrowed an ether converter from the Department of Alternative Power Studies and using it to siphon the djinn's inherent magic and convert it into pure ethereal power - which, as we predicted, has proven a very effective soundproof barrier!* The Lamp Containment Unit keeps the djinn in its lamp, and from there it's relatively easy to use that magic to power the barrier. * - Our calculations indicate that a sustained, simultaneous striking of all possible pitches will generate a frequency that could potentially destroy the barrier..or more accurately, the sound will simply cause a catastrophic chain reaction by driving the djinn out of its lamp. Luckily none of our sample rolls has such a capability. Note to self: Speak to Doctor Telsa about these inquiries into our science team. I don't know who this 'Spymaster Tanooki' thinks he is, but I'm quite certain none of my research team are spies. What kind of spymaster goes hunting double agents? "Interesting..." muttered Avina, looking over Calamity's shoulder. "One of these vibrataphones is intact. And we appear to have all these sample rolls. If we generate a sound as loud as possible across multiple pitches for as long as we can....the vibrataphone probably won't survive, but it should overload this barrier." She picked up the bundle of sample sound rolls and unrolled them. "Each one of these bumps represents a note. Typically these rolls as far longer and create music, but it sounds like the scientists were just using it to test soundproof materials....useful. But no single roll will do the job. We need to find several of them, and then from there I think I could splice them all together. So, we need to find three music rolls that, when combined, hit every possible note at the same time. The bumps can't overlap, though. Orientation of the rolls shouldn't matter." Avina glances at the party. "Any questions?" NOTE: DO NOT POST THE SOLUTION IN THIS TOPIC. Each of you can PM me your solution within 24 hours to receive experience for the puzzle.

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
CMP replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'll Vote: Rip Sewer (Captain Nemo). It seems like more or less everyone (except Bock and Rip, obviously) seem willing to go one way or the other. They both seem to be walking something of a middle road. I've voiced a few concerns about Rip previously (though admittedly mostly in private) and I have no issues with voting for her. If it comes down to it I'll switch my vote to secure a lynch, but I'd rather see Rip go. At least Bock is better for conversation (I never thought I'd be saying that ). Rip is seriously only ever around to defend herself from what I've seen.- 331 replies

Rip or Bock seems good to me. Rip only really seems to be here when she's being accused.- 331 replies

Spectacular. Our two scummiest suspects have claimed pretty vital PRs in public to avoid the lynch. Unvote: 4 of 2 (mostlytechnic) I'm really almost at a loss of who to vote next. Not to mention we're almost out of time for the day.- 331 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers

So, I will Vote: 4 of 2 (mostlytechnic). Why? Well I'll tell you why NOT: because of this tracker claim PM code cipher project thing. I'll fess up and say I cannot nor have I been following any of it outside of the fact that I got a part of it. I didn't look into it because it was supposedly only to be used in the case of Zipzop's death. Frankly I think this is about as constructive as wondering about Celemtine's claim yesterday...as in, it doesn't get us anywhere and discussion about it consumes the first 24 hours of the day. We need to not let that happen again because both today's lynch, like yesterday's, is close to failing. The lynch is the only tool to find scum that EVERY townie can rely on, so let's try and actually use it?? Anyway... This is part of the post in which 4 of 2 mentioned scum watcher. Seamus has dismantled that argument more than I'd be able to, so I want to look at something else. Speaking of conjecture on topics that are useless to the majority of townies, I had initially thought 4 of 2 spent a lot of Day Two arguing with Major Dave, who as we all know was townie now. But it turns out most of that was actually just laying out, many, MANY, times, why she thought Clementine's claim was reasonable despite the fact that she was acting very strangely. Except in this post for some reason when she think it's possible. But then she's back to town again. And then she states that she's not leaning scum, and then in the very same post says that maybe she'll vote for Clem. What? You don't vote for someone you're leaning town on. Okay, she lays out some reasons to vote for Bock. Then unvotes, and waits to see if the bandwagon starts rolling any further. (I didn't quote that post, but I'll spoil it for you: she jumps on the wagon RIGHT before Claw gets a majority votes.) Meanwhile, she's leaning town on some people. She likes using this phrase a lot. "Leaning town." We're not looking for town, 4 of 2. We're looking for scum. And then there's...this, which is just weird. After all this talking of the dumb code today, after all the suspicions have been thrown around, this is your basis for voting? "One of these three people HAVE to be scum, end of discussion"?? I know scum do like to split their votes a lot, but this just seems...bizarre, particularly in light of all the other suspicions flying around today.- 331 replies

"<Huh....well, great work, mate.>" Atramor pulls out a handful of excess birdseed from his cloak and absentmindedly feeds Twitzle from his hand while relaying his message to the party. "Twenty four dark dwarves. Sounds like they have the drill and they're diggin' a hole. Seems like they're siphonin' the Mythril to build a....turtle? I say we get in there and kick some ass." -
Sorry, I need a bit more time to work out this puzzle. But you're all roughly two thirds of the way in, we should finish the quest before Halloween.

I think Guts gave away a lot of his gold in Quest 44. Miderun gave away all her gold to another orc at some point but nobody was around to see it happen, which I thought was hilarious.

Atramor uses his Scroll of Tongues and holds up the tiny Canary. "<Alright mate. This is loyal bird companion attempt number two, and this is your chance to shine, so try and keep it down and lemme know what it is those bastards are up to, aye? I've still got plenty of birdseed on me so ya've got plenty of motivation. Now get out and get us some intel.>" After chirping incoherently to the canary for a while he lets it loose to go spy on the dark dwarves. -
Calamity expends one ether to fling a darkness spell at the ether core, but it fizzles out as it comes into contact with the barrier. "Interesting..." "I don't...believe so. This barrier is like nothing I've seen before. Maybe there's something here that can help shed some light on what this thing is?" the alchemist suggested, shrugging at the fallen lab table they had passed.

I missed this earlier. Actually, if you had failed that puzzle Karstaal would not have given you his support and would've died of his wounds after Imaestym.

Exactly.

The world would be a much emptier place if everyone the heroes fought died.

Actually I believe the Quest 90 heroes could've instead sided with Bastala in the Trial and kept her in power instead, but I might be mistaken. Also Flipz you're not accounting for the Kingdoms and Orcs being split up into smaller groups with different goals.
