  1. Some of the details are surprisingly accurate. The chest in the alcove function in Moria is actually a detail from the book.
  2. That's...not very helpful, I don't have a clue what I'm supposed to be looking at. Can you just tell us what it is?
  3. I don't like it, personally. It's interesting, but completely discounting both artifacts and weapons is a real turn-off. Plus, Sandy said the Beast Master class involves transforming into animals anyway.
  4. Yeah, that sort confused me. The first thing I figured out in the riddle was that there no way 2 could be anything but neutral. Those were some brutal enemies anyway, though, so I suppose it wouldn't've mattered.
  5. There should be a section where all the particularly good bits of roleplaying like that are archived here, if you're not planning one already.
  6. I think that had more to do with free Mead than the roleplaying, but it was very-well executed nonetheless.
  7. Gollum. Lack of poseability aside, he's fantastic.
  8. That includes greatswords, I'm assuming? Harlot seems interesting ( ) but I can't see many people choosing it, unless maybe it's rolled into a Gambler sort of class like Sandy had planned? It would certainly appeal to me, and many other rogues - if it had a different name. I actually like Pleasure House how it is, it doesn't do direct damage, but I think shortening to one round would just kill any effectiveness it has. Nevermind. You don't need to change the name.

    Skyrim

Looks friggin' awesome! I'm going to have to get back into Skyrim now...
  10. Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor, Loki, Sith Trooper...this guy gets around. I can't get over the detailing on that helmet.
  11. Good value and self-contained sets? Definitely Shelob's Attack. You don't have to be a Lord of the Rings fan to enjoy it, Shelob's a great buildf, and the figs are great.
  12. Oh. That's even better.
  13. Wait, is it those above in the battle order get Lucky and below get Encouraged? Oh. You should specify that more. Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to try that class when I hit level 30.
  14. "A few days? They could'a taken out every single other person by then...damn it." Atramor glares at the door resignedly, clenching one fist. "We can't quite afford to be out for a few days in this sorta the situation."
  15. Both summer Ninjago and Palpatine's Arrest have barely been released.
  16. "Huh. We killed a cultist and one of XX's henchmen, got drunk, and got our megablocks handed to us. Not a fantastic day for heroes, I s'pose...and as for you, you bloody monkey, I don't need to hear that I screwed up from you, I think I've well enough got it from that drink." He threw a glare at Thothwick, quite tempted to pull out his scroll and shut the ape up once and for all. The worst part was, he knew the rogue was completely right, if they'd been up, they would've had a chance against U'Vires... "Your skills in m-" "I don't need to hear it from you, either, whatever the hell you are," snapped Atramor, head turned towards his chicken. "Damn it...whatever. U'Stus was a stubborn politician. If he wasn't so damn sure of his people's protection more of us probably could've stayed. In any case, we still have have to protect the others. How long are we s'post to be in here, 'til we can get to guardin' the others?"
  17. If the finalized class is anything like this one, I'm definitely going to try it. Only a few notes. Rally seems kind of overpowered/complicated, even if it's only for one round. Maybe all heroes just get the Lucky effect for the next round? Also, I think Diplomacy/Track Down should be intertwining with the styles, like Ordered gets Order and Diplomacy, while Chaotic gets Chaos and Track Down.
  18. No sooner had Atramor awoken than he'd puked half his guts out on the floor beside his bed. Disgust and pain ravaged his insides like fire. "Never...in my life...had I had such a drink...." McCafferey stands stiffly at the foot of his bed, having observed Tarn's beat-down with much attention, though her eyes now lingered on the witch once again. "U'Vires was at U'Stus's house, with his guests possessed and a gun to 'is head...went on about savin' his people by making a demonstration. We had a...drinkin' contest, the first I've ever personally lost...the hell was in that drink....but what about you, Nyx? Weren't 'ya supposed to be guardin' him?"
  19. Sorry, I noticed how starving I was halfway through the post and didn't even check the thread before I posted when I got back. I really like the whole switching skills idea, it makes it really unique. Rally and Optimism are kind of confusing, but I love the ideas behind them.
  20. Well, I don't think that shod factor into the class at all, really. I mean, it's an aspect of roleplaying. Look at your own character - Boomingham is everything a Paladin shouldn't be, so alignment isn't much a variable for classes, and even if it is, it's not set in stone. As for the class's basis, maybe it's like a semi-opposite of Black Knight; for example, have its skills based around killing Demonic enemies. In addition, most of the Hunters strike me as roguish, and their Shields in combat seem to revolve around getting gold, so maybe it's somewhat roguish. Something like a mixture of Black Knight and Raider, perhaps. Felton, Phil, and McColt (as well as Poletad, to some degree) all also seem to favor talking things out, so perhaps it's a somewhat diplomatic class? If you really need a straightforward suggestion/something to base the class off of, Wren Hunter Additional Health: +X Additional Ether: No ether Weapons: Wren Hunters use a range of weapons, including daggers, longswords, greatswords, axes, and hammers. Job Trait: Intimidation - Wren Hunters have an unusual affinity to scaring the hell out of people with tales of demons and their deaths to get information. Natural Respite - Wren Hunters don't have time to snuggle up in a bedroll. Battle Style: Cleansing(?) - Wren Hunters aren't righteous bringers of light, but they're deadset on ridding the world of demonic forces nonetheless. 1. SHIELD: Smite Evil Demon's Bane – The Wren Hunter becomes a true demon slayer, dealing a single strike of light elemental damage to their enemy equal to five times their weapon power added to their level. (e.g., WP: 8 x 5 + level 30 = 70 light elemental damage) 2. EXTRA CRITICAL HIT: The Wren Hunter attacks their enemy with strength equal to three times their weapon power added to their level. (e.g., WP: 5 x 3 + Lvl 30 = 45 damage) 3. HIT: The Wren Hunter attacks their enemy with strength equal to their weapon power added to their level (e.g., WP: 5 + Lvl 30 = 35 damage). 4. COUNTERTHIEF: The Wren Hunter is hit with the enemy's attack, but then steals gold equal to the enemy's level times two. (e.g., level 10 enemy = damage to the hero but 20 gold stolen from enemy) 5. DAMAGE: The Wren Hunter takes damage from one random enemy equal to the enemy's level. 6. SPECIAL DEFLECT: The Wren Hunter has a 50/50 chance to get hit with the enemy's special skill. If the special skill fails, to Wren Hunter steals gold equal to the enemy's level times two. (e.g., level 10 enemy = 20 gold stolen) As a start.
  21. Picked up this up last night at Wal-Mart as Helm's Deep was sold out. I don't regret it in the slightest, this is easily the best brick-built creature LEGO's ever released, and the figure selection and the execution is just perfect. I could go on, but this great review just about covers everything.
  22. A well-needed guide and hilarious read, Flipz. I hope people will draw from this more often.
  23. I suppose, but I still think having to have a weapon forged specifically for a construct is needlessly complicated. You'd already have to purchase dozens of Tonics for upkeep of your only means of combat, paying to arm it would be pretty annoying.
  24. I'm not really upset about it, I would've had to wait another week or so to get Shelob. In any case, I'm just glad they were in stock. I could see the price tag and everything for Helm's Deep, so I at least know it'll be available at some point.
  25. That all sounds pretty good. But what's stopping people from just trying out every advanced class and arming their Construct with any possible weapon? I still don't know about the whole 'fitting weapons' thing, maybe they could just use any weapon, but no shields?
