  1. Black Paladin These paladins have fallen to darkness and had their angels corrupted by vile magics. Weapons: Black Paladins use heavy blunt and bladed weapons like shields, greatswords, maces, hammers, axes, lances, halberds, and occasionally staves. Job Traits: Intimidation - See Black Knight/Berserker. Black Healing - Black Paladins can heal allies like any ordinary Cleric, but it has no effect healing undead. Instead, healing will deal damage to Holy and Humanoid enemies. Battle Style: Unholy - Black Paladins fight for the protection of their allies, as corrupt as they may be. 1. SHIELD - Demonic Retribution: The Black Paladin's corrupted angel protects the party from any damage and negative effects for the next round. Any damage or negative effects that would have been caused to an ally is instead dealt right back to the opponent. 2. CRITICAL HIT/DEFENDED BLACK HEAL MORE - The Black Paladin attacks their target for damage equal to twice their weapon power added to their level. Optionally, they may heal an ally at the expense of 1 ether for the same amount; in addition, the ally gains SP equal to the Black Paladin's for the next round. (WP 15 x 2 + level 30 = 60 damage to opponent or 60 health to ally and SP equal to Black Paladin's for next round) 3. HIT/BLACK HEAL - The Black Paladin attacks their target for damage equal to their weapon power added to their level. Optionally, they may heal an ally at the expense of 1 ether for the same amount. (WP 15 + level 30 = 45 damage to opponent or health to ally) 4. POWER COUNTER/DEFEND - The Black Paladin is hit with their opponent's attack (power of their shield decreases damage), but attacks right back with strength equal to their weapon power added to their shield power. Optionally, any attempt of healing fails, and the ally instead is given SP equal to the Black Paladin's for the next round. (Level 20 enemy - 10 SP, WP 15 + SP 10 = 10 damage to Black Paladin, 25 damage to opponent or SP equal to the Black Paladin's to ally for next round) 5. DEFENDED DAMAGE/NO HEAL - The Black Paladin is struck with the opponent's attack. Their shield power reduces the effect. Optionally, any attempt of healing fails. (Level 20 enemy - 10 SP = 10 damage to Black Paladin) 6. SPECIAL DAMAGE/NO HEAL - The Black Paladin is struck with the opponent's special skill. Optionally, any attempt of healing fails. I feel like I may have overcomplicated it with the Defend thing, but overall I feel I've made it a decent enough departure from the normal Paladin. Criticism/suggestions?
  2. There are no words to describe I'm completely speechless I really like all the spires, it makes it 100% recognizable, the scale is fantastic, and the positioning on everyone is just right - it looks like you've taken a screen cap right from the movie and built it in LEGO.
  3. Bard looks way too much like Minstrel in my opinion, and Illusionist has a similar problem with being able to cast negative effects. I like the illusion thing, though, although too nice of a QM would kind of mess up the system. Although, I think Sandy mentioned being able to pick up other Minstrel songs during quests, and all of the legends you listed would be really cool to use in-battle at some point.
  4. Atramor rolled his eyes as the sword was handed off to Sarick, and to his surprise, the Mead and Nostrum were returned to him by Tarn. Somewhat annoyed, he asked the party at large. "Does anyone want either of these, or is everyone gonna assume Constance is gonna haunt 'em through 'em or somethin'?"
  5. Thanks. Boomingham's done just the opposite - Barty speaks in nearly all of his actions, but it feels a lot more fluid for some reason than most other alternate character players. On another note, I seriously hope he's not gone for good. Agreed, 100%. Docken, for one, is quite memorable despite the fact that he doesn't roleplay. It's fun for some, but not a necessity for everyone.
  6. You've really enhanced the class- it looks really unique and balanced. The only thing I'm kind of unsure of is the Shield. It's not overpowered or anything, in my opinion it just doesn't fit the class. Maybe something like the Howl you had earlier, except dealing the Weakened or Fragile effect to all enemies? Of course, it's probably just personal bias because you're putting the Witch's Shield to shame.
  7. I try not to interact with McCafferey too much, it would run the risk of overdoing the whole 'interior roleplaying' deal. I limit it to interesting/critical events, and I'd like to think I'm doing an okay job of balancing it. I think it would be a similar situation with the off side of Arthur's personality. For example, eating enemies after every victory is a no-no. Limit it to the boss battles.
  8. No. You just don't have enough Rogues.
  9. Atramor sighs. "Ya'll act like that thing's a curse. If neither of you want it, give it to Cronk, he don't strike me as the type to believe in that sorta junk."
  10. Since it's a purely roleplaying discussion... De'kra strikes me as Chaotic Good. It's obvious he wants to do good, but his lack of finesse with normal human interaction makes his actions towards doing so sort of irregular. I'm a big fan of D&D, I just haven't played it. I left them that way for people to guess, but, in order: Tarn, William, Thothwick, Nyx, and Atramor.
  11. I'm kind of satisfied with Atramor's roleplaying recently. It might be a little cliche, but I figured after the last few quests he was going Good too quickly. I think he's back in the running for Most Disliked Hero Alive. We have a really varied roster (as Volcanic pointed out) especially in terms of alignment: Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Lawful Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, and what's turning out to be Chaotic Evil. I hope the Quest 29 party sticks around, at that point you have a whole mess of personalities and such.
  12. "You know what? You're both completely right. The bomb wasn't necessary. Let's reenact what would've happened if we hadn't've used it. I'll heal myself. Tarn, you hack Sarick's tail off. Cronk, decapitate Constance. William, put a bolt in Nerwen and Galen (who should be stabbin' Xander at this point). Nyx, start fryin' everyone. De'kra, you whine about not fighting amongst- oh, look, we already won. We would've ended with the exact same solution, it would've just taken longer. You listen, ape. I don't worship Zoot, I've killed one of his minions before. You weren't there, you were gettin' your furry behind handed to you at the time. Don't give me any crap about the drinks, our noble party leader had nothin' to say 'bout it other than 'Oh, sure, okay, that's a good idea. Drink up, chaps!' I'm only eager to be off 'cause there ain't anythin' else to accomplish here. And as for you, whatever the hell you are, little yellow-eyed thing, let's not forget that this whole Dastan mess goes back to your screw-up months ago. I'm not the only one who's made a mistake." His fingers stretch, as if aching to start pulling a weapon, but Atramor remains motionless. "I'm fine with waitin' for Phil's need for protection. Your one smart suggestion this whole damn quest..."
  13. The best kind of criticism is constructive, no matter how it comes off. Yours makes a lot of sense, in my mind.
  14. "Well, you're doin' a mighty fine job of leadin' this party. Ain't a leader s'post to be respected, confident, and fight when it's well damn necessary? I would rather lead a party to bein' wrong rather than lettin' the problem resolve itself by sheer chance. And this Talisman? This Talisman is a memento of your failure. And unless I'm mistaken, it's not kidnappin' when the kid is willingly handed over." Atramor cackles sharply, clearly getting a nice kick out of the Metasimian. "Well, you're in charge now. What does our dearly beloved party leader want us to do now? Sit on our hands and wait for Wren to slaughter us?"
  15. I don't think Boomingham is actually going to lose his Shield, but I'm not sure. I do have to agree Quest 28 is a great read for roleplaying, among other features. That's what happens when you get some of the most defined, heavily-roleplaying characters (and Docken ) together in a Quest. Just don't drag it (the crazy side of Arthur) out too long or have it come up in the spotlight too often. In small portions it turns out to be cool RPing, but too much and it goes sour. If that's what you mean.
  16. Man, did everyone get one of those but me? XX is still alive, maybe we'll have a chance to re-stock soon.
  17. William still has a bomb of his own. But we could use the EXP.
  18. Atramor couldn't help but glare as Dragon's Heart was passed onto Galen. "That should be a spoil of victory, not a consolation prize...," he mumbled. "And I believe I was the architect of this triumph, not Sarick...but if that is what you want, De'kra, fine." He crossed his arms, staring, annoyed, at Thothwick now. "And where was our leader, eh? Off watchin' everyone else battle? At least they had the decency to fight for what they believed..."
  19. Atramor continued to stare into the bleak darkness of Dastan, ignoring the dry air as it stung at his eyes. McCafferey landed once again upon his shoulder, and a shiver shot down his arm when she did so. Her comment hadn't been forgotten - it defined the atrocity of what they'd done, coming from her. "You did get her." "...The wrong person," was the low, muttering reply of his voice, though hers had been strictly mental. "I....I don't...I don't see how you could possibly see any good in this. I've...been aware you certainly ain't morally correct, but..." "I seek not the deaths of anyone. My task is to see you through for what you're supposed to become, if you've forgotten." "If...this...is what I'm supposed to be-" "It is not. Think about it. Think about what she said to you, to all of the heroes. Don't lie, you feel no remorse for her death. It's the fact that you were so terribly wrong. But you cannot dwell on it. See the positive side of this," she whispered, quiet in his mind. "You've helped to destroy a massive threat to you and your friends, and she knew only pride for herself and Dastan, not safety and security. She knew she could not possibly succeed. And yet she attempted to remove you all anyway. Among this mess of violence, you have righted a blaring wrong. You cannot surrender yourself to emotions such as sadness, or regret. You must not falter, you must fight them. These people, however temporarily, expect you to lead them. Do it!" Surely she was right. Constance was nothing more than a hindrance, a barrier for the heroes to overcome. And at last, they had. Turning back to the party, a smug, confident smirk on his face despite the ruinous situation and the rest of the heroes' mindsets, he seized the Dragon Commander's personal items, tossing the Mead and Nostrum to Tarn. "Recompense, mate. Good throw, in any case." He swung Dragon's Heart a few times. It was a nice blade, certainly, but others had greater need than he for it. Atramor's eyes slid down to the crooked hat of De'kra, and he offered the hilt of the broadsword to the creature. "Er...ya' think ya' can hold a weapon like this, mate?"
  20. Don't worry. The roleplaying will still be going on long after you've returned.
  21. Hobbit sets for this December and the next. :cry_happy: That practically confirms another wave of Lord of the Rings next May, in my mind.
  22. "Wh...damn." Atramor stared at the blackened blast zone, the conversation of Emperor Septrine, Phil, and Felton rather dim in his ears. The near-motionless bodies of the enemy party strewn around the the middle of the road were quickly tended to by De'kra. And Tarn, shifting a pile of rubble, seemed to have been several injured by the explosion as well, the enabler to the weapon that may as well have stabbed them all in the heart in addition to the multitude of burns stretched across their skin. "That was beautiful." His hollow eyes drifted to McCafferey, surveying the scene from above, whose voice echoed resoundingly in his head. He blinked in petrified horror, and forced his eyes away from both her and the rest of the heroes. No words could he currently find for the destruction he'd nearly wrought on his own. I promise I won't make a post this dramatic again for a long time, I don't care for them. I think I should gain a level, though if it's a massive repercussion I understand.
  23. That was awesome a massacre.
  24. Atramor blinks as a metallic blur flying through the air and a hulking barbarian decide to advance on him. "...If that's gonna be the case...ain't worth gettin' knocked out to have the satisfaction of poisonin' someone..." Halting his attack, he instead heals himself (from the back row). Atramor Tarn Cronk William Nyx De'kra Felton Last change. I promise. I'd just like to keep my team alive.
  25. They did. In Helm's Deep, Gimli's axe is a swirled pearl dark gray color - no printing. Thinking about it, I don't believe they've printed many parts in this way since Fantasy Era.
